Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

How much was Band Hero for PS3 (and was it the game or the whoel bundle?)
Does GAMESTOP price match . I asked earlier no one answered :(
Yes they are able to , will they is a different question . If you raise a stink they will always do it , just ask them to call their District manager for approval.

I really wish that I would find one in H-Town. Would be nice...

Went to a few Targets today and didn't find anything great, but I'll try some more on Wednesday. Hopefully I'll find one.

Was curious so I punched in the DPCI for :360: MW2 HE and it came up $19.98

They never even had any enter the clearance cycle but good to know anyways I suppose.
No luck finding Demon's Souls around Indianapolis.
Did you note anything else interesting on clearance?

Interestingly, the four Targets I went to seem to be getting rid of clearance completely. Greenwood, Southport, Avon, and Washington Square have small endcaps with empty shelves. There were a few PC games but nothing of note.

For ppl picking up Band Hero Kits for PS3 for $25....
how are the drums?
Ii been reading on amazon that the drums are the same P.O.S ones that were included with GH:WT

$25 is great...but if that's the case...the deal makes me hesitate

If I remember correctly, the Wii version of Band Hero was the only version that got updated drumsets.

For those PC gamers out there, one store was clearing out the Star Trek Online pre-sell kits for $0.68. From what I remember, the kit included a $5 coupon, a "Target exclusive" weapon, and a beta key. It might be worthwhile just for the coupon & weapon. I have no idea if the beta key would still work. I also saw Transformers: rotf at $14.98.

And I also saw some new console game drops:
iconps3.gif
Midnight Club LA 20.98
iconps3.gif
G-Force 9.98

iconxbox360.gif
Fallout 3 9.98

iconwii.gif
G.I. Joe 7.48
iconwii.gif
Game Party 2 3.74
iconwii.gif
Grand Slam Tennis 12.48
iconwii.gif
GH Metallica 9.98

All the other games didn't budge.

Mission Valley Center Target in San Diego had a ton (as in around 20 or more) of Tiger Woods PGA Tour '10 for the Xbox 360 at $29.99 and 2 copies GH: Smash Hits also for 360 at $19

Chico, CA Store on the 1st had some good buys,

:360: Tekken 6 - $14.98
:360: Prototype - $9.98
:360: Grand Theft Auto 4: Episodes from Liberty City - $14.98

and some others I cannot remember, weird thing is that the clearenced games were on a endcap in the DVD area near a long wall of dvd's.. Totally oposite area of the game section.. Weird.. Needless to say I picked up 2 copies of tekken 6 and 1 prototype, I plan on doing the old "i dont have a receipt for this gift that I already have" trick with tekken at walmart since its 59.99 there.. Get a nice 64 dollar giftcard to buy another game :) As for the other copy, probably go into my collection.

Ban the fraudster!

I would love a copy of Prototype. All my target has is 5 Guitar Hero: Smash hits, Lego Rock Band, Fight night round 4, and finally some chaotic game I think its a card game all for 360.

I all I saw was spectrobes for ds for like 4.98, there were about 20 copies of this. And I seen Ghostbusters for PC for about 13.xx.

I almost bit on the Ghostbusters, but I figured I could eventually get it cheaper on steam if I wanted to play it.

NO BEATLES ROCK BAND BUNDLE =[
Probably because they also say something like, "This one is mines."
Yeah, it's poor grammar but mines (though wrong) fits logically with "yours" and I can see how kids make that mistake. (Kids interestingly enough when making grammatical mistakes usually do it logically. e.g. I falled, I sleeped.)

But "I seen" makes no sense at all. Not to be offensive but it makes me scratch my head.

Now to get back on topic:

I too have seen an overabundance of Spectrobes Beyond the Portals DS at $4.98. If anything might possibly reach the 90% point, it's this game and HSM3 DS. I picked one up for shits and giggles and to add to my crack collection.

Saw:
360 Chaotic Shadow Wariors for 7.xx
Wii Game Party 2 for 3.xx
DS Stop Smoking 7.xx
DS Walking Trainer game thingy for 12.xx
DS Some Charmed Girl Game for 7.xx

Rock Bands and Band Heroes had a sale for 20 dollars off sticker price and I saw some Prototype for PS3, but they weren't on clearance

Grabbed MLB 2K9 for $4.98 (PS3). Not sure if I really want it or not...but that price wouldn't let me pass it up. Hmmm...what to do?

Also saw:

Tekken 6 (360) for $14.98
Fallout 3 (360) for $9.98 (regular edition)
Sonic and the Black Knight (Wii) for $7.48

Has anyone found Cars-Race-O-Rama (PS3) for less than $19.98?
Would love to get that for my son but not for $20.
Just wondering if it's dropped below that or not.
Sorry
Wasn't trying to call you out specifically. I just see/hear it all the time and it makes no sense to me. And the thing is, nobody bothers to correct it. But yet the your/you're mistake will start some sort of nazi grammar police debate for 3 pages.

It confuses me.

I just wanted to say thanks to those contributing in this thread, and, honestly, the great folks on this surprisingly mature and polite site in general. The majority of you are awesome people, and the fact that you go out of your way to provide reliable, concise, and timely info just for the sake of being considerate is a credit to not only yourselves and this site, but to true videogamers everywhere.

Last night I, too, was able to pick up the Beatles: Rock Band $250 set for $62 (or whatever it ended up being), and, thanks largely to this site, I arrived at the store in such a timely manner that the employees were mid-way through updating the price stickers. It's amazing to me that taking advantage of deals like this is common for someone regularly participating in these forums, and I just wanted to say how grateful I am for all of the money that I've saved.

Well done, thank you, and I look forward to when I can give back in kind.

Checked 2 Targets this morning, Tanesborne & Hillsboro OR. Picked up Wii Party games 2 for only 3.74! they had lots. Was said to see all the Beatles RB gone, Tanesborne had two last week, maybe they dropped to $63 and I missed the party :(

Hillsboro had Band Hero for xbox for $50 but I passed (I'm too much of a Rock band snob). Going to check a few more south of here. Hoping to spot Beatles RB, MW2 Hard.. or Lips #1 Hits. Wish me luck

I seen Prototype (360) last night for $9.99 but passed, not sure what the consensus on this game plus I have a few others I need to finish up first.
I hadt Target doa locations search on the DPCI for the Band Hero bundle and there are no stores in my area that still have it.

Had a road trip to few Targets and picked up:

:360: Beatles RB LE $62.48
:360: Band Hero Bundle $49.98
:360: Midnight Club: LA $7.48
:360: Chaotic Shadow Warrior $7.48
:ps3: Lego Batman $4.98
:ps3: G-Force $9.98
:wii: Naruto Shippuden: Clash of Ninja Revolution 3 $9.98
:ds: Naruto Shippuden: Ninja Destiny 2 $7.48
:ds: Naruto: Ninja Destiny $7.48
:ds: Star Wars The Force Unleashed $4.98
:ds: Flash Focus $4.98
:psp: Marvel Super Hero Squad $7.48

Wanted PS3 version of the Beatles and Band Hero but didn't see any. Well, I just have to split my collection among the two consoles now.

I guess I must have burned $20+ worth of gas just to round this up.

Saw one 360 Beatles RB LE left at the Tanesborne store at about 3PM yesterday. Tagged $62.48. Someone must have picked it up shortly after that. I got mine (last one) at the Wilsonville store.

Wish I could find a Beatles RB bundle for PS3... Local target had Band Hero pack for 360 at $59.xx last time I went, but I dont own a 360 and don't really want to try and set up a trade at the moment, especially for something like a whole band package.

Haven't checked this topic or bought videogames from B&M for a long time, but decided to stop by on Target (Wilmington DE) and hauled the only Beatles Rock Band bundle out of the clearance aisle as soon as I saw the $62 price tag.

It'd have to be local. You can't even find a box big enough for either package. When I bought Beatles RB from Amazon, they shipped it in its retail package cause it was so big.

I think the reason these items have stuck around so long and hit 75% is because the hoarders/resellers can't reasonably sell these with the shipping costs.

Exactly, and I'm not sure how many CAG users are in the area, and if so, I doubt too many of them were even able to find a copy either, cuz I hit the local Target stores pretty often, to no avail.

And I don't even wanna mess with something like craigslist....

Gonna try to stop by the last local store next time I have class, hoping they have a copy. If not, oh well  lol

This.

Did the Beatles PS3 outsell the 360 version or something? Since they were put on clearance I only saw the 360 version in my area. I wish I could snag the PS3 version since I already have lots of songs on my lead platform.

No, but I didn't go to the Sherwood, Hillsboro, Gateway, Fairview, PDX and Jantzen Beach stores though. You can try those. Are you after the PS3 or 360 version?

If any local CAG got the PS3 version but looking for the 360 version, and wanna swap (assuming your PS3 one is still factory sealed), PM me.

yeah the beatles rockband must have got cheaper this monday because i checked saturday at 2 of my local targets was 124 i bought 2 yesterday a ps3 and xbox 360 each for 66 bucks with tax im pretty happy about that :)...This is in michgan in utica and sterling heights if anyone was intrested

Is there a easy-to-understand list of what games these instruments will work with somewhere? If this price means I'm getting fucked over because of Proprietary DRM I'll just try to resell it on CL for a small profit.

Found but didn't buy 2 Band Hero Kits for $49.98 at Fields Ertel Target in Cincinnati. Also had 20+ GH3 (game only) for PS2 for $3.74.

What is wrong with you? -_- I would've snatched one in a heartbeat if my Target had those.

Picked up Bad Company 2 earlier in the day, so couldn't really justify spending another $50 on games. And I either wouldn't play it much or end up trying to flip it.
