Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Man I'd kill to get one of these external HDs you guys seem to find. Looking for something 500GB-1TB to use to store my ever expanding music library. If anyone sees one for the $20 price point, I'd gladly paypal $30.

Anyway, a Target in Skokie, IL was pretty baren. Under construction as well, I guess it's a company-wide initiative. Their clearence endcap by the games had some Marvel UA2 guides on it for 4.98 and some other junk, but no games at all. Saw a couple red tags in the case though, the usual suspects, FNR4 and GH Smash Hits, still at 19.98. Junk.

Lots of Batman AA for Pc out there.
I also have a store with about 20 copy's of GHWT for the Wii for 7.98. LOL. They can't give them away.
I did find a copy of Fight night 4 for 9.98. Had to grab that.

Not shocking, seeing how its Guitar Hero.
Actually, you're the second - but everyone called the first guy a liar, so that will likely happen to you, too, unfortunately.
Now that I've got a bit more time, here are the photos of BS2 CE for PC at $19.98. Also included is Batman AA in case someone doesn't believe that I found that at as well at $12.48. ;) :D

That is such a sweet deal. Unfortunately it's probably a white buffalo for me since I only remember seeing a PC version at Target once and that was back at launch. Thanks for posting and proving the doubters wrong, though.

Damn...that's a crazy freaking deal. I would pick that up in a heartbeat. I saw a copy of the 360 CE yesterday. Hoping that thing sits there for awhile and gets that oh-so-sweet little, red sticker slapped on it.

I'm surprised the bioshock box looks new.

My Target is in the process of renovating and just changed the game aisles as to where every game is in its own plastic prison, but then also attached by a string to the shelf, of which you have to get an associate to come and unlock the shelf to get a copy of the game. However, it looks like they are not doing the red stickers for clearance (at least for now), and the few things I found on clearance where shelved like normal, just with a normal price tag underneath. For example, the 360 copy of Orange Box I found for $4.98 was like this. Hopefully it changes, as this makes checking the scanner for drops impossible :whistle2:(

There are a couple Targets near me that have that setup. They still red tag clearance items in the tethered cases and eventually pull them to shelves. You can still find DCPI numbers from the white price tags to punch into the scanners, if that's what you're worried about.

On a related note, damn good pickup with Orange Box. That missed my clearance radar.

I don't know if it's just my area (Chicago), but the clearance sections have all been pretty terrible and most Targets seem to be cutting them back quite a bit. I can't even find DS and Wii shovelware...

One target was full of colored condoms on clearance for the Wii though.

Mine cut the clearance end cap from a full end cap to a 4 foot tall end cap. That doesn't bode well for finding much clearance in the future. Does anyone's Targets still have the $29.99 and $19.99 and under white end caps anymore? Haven't had either of those for months either.

At my target they have an entire aisle just for those types of games... although most the time there is a crapload of empty spaces. Also most the endcaps are devoted to clearance items.

I found Batman for $12.50 at mine too but I bought it on GFW live for that much.

Nice find on the bioshock 2. I've got it on 360 but I'd get it again on PC for separate achievements at that price.

So, you have an entire aisle of games "bargain games" and multiple endcaps of clearance. I get half of an end cap. How large of a city are you in?

Two of the Targets I frequent have entire rows dedicated to bargain games, one has the end caps for bargain games, and one doesn't have anything. I live in a highly populated area though.
My Target is in the process of renovating and just changed the game aisles as to where every game is in its own plastic prison, but then also attached by a string to the shelf, of which you have to get an associate to come and unlock the shelf to get a copy of the game.
The good thing about those cases is that games sometimes get hidden in the cases behind the zip chords. Just last week I saw a :360: ME2:CE hidden in one because it was too thick to fit in the little plastic box.

Quick heads up for anyone who purchased Marvel UA2! I picked it up and put it at the end of my backlog for later down the road, as i have enough games to last me months or more. My nephew came over and saw Spiderman on the cover and so I opened it up so he could check it out. My disc must be a bad burn or something, I can't even get to the title screen before the game tells me my disc is dirty or damaged. I tried installing it to the hard drive and at 50% the xbox tells me to clean the disc. So I bought a shiny new drink coaster, good stuff. All 30 games I have play just fine, so the game itself is the problem. I know there are plenty of people here who buy games and don't open them for a while, thought you might want to check it out before your return time has lapsed.

Scored :360: Fight Night Round 4 and :360: Resident Evil 5 for $9.98 each this week. Still a bunch of FNR4 left, but I got the last RE5. Add those to the :360: Beatles RB kit I got for $62 the other day and it's been a good week. :)

Last night i picked up Batman AA for $12.98 and Transformers ROTF $7.98. Both for pc. They have about 5 Batman's left, they also had SW:RH for 19.98, still waiting for it to drop, dont know how good it is for that price.

New Drops, Baldwin Park, CA.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 Xbox 360 41.98, not new
+10 copies of Punch Out Wii $34.98 (30% off)
a lot of Nintendo DS Games.
At my target they have an entire aisle just for those types of games... although most the time there is a crapload of empty spaces. Also most the endcaps are devoted to clearance items.
Same thing here for the most part. Whole aisle and often a bunch of empty spaces. Though, I've noticed a bunch of titles that people have reported on clearance in there without any red tags. Might be worth scanning them next time I'm there.

Yep it's an entire aisle, and usually at least two endcaps with clearance games. The population is over 80,000. For instance, they had a huge amount of DS games on clearance at the beginning of February but it's been cut back to just one endcap for clearance games since everything has pretty much been bought and no new clearance games have been put on the endcap for quite a while.

Anyone know what the story is with :ps3: Killzone 2? I've checked a half dozen Targets around me in Orange County and they're all still in the case at full price. Maybe this is regional?

Does anyone elses Target give games to goodwill? It's almost impossible to score anything good in the Cincinnati area because it seems like the clearence is given to our local good wills before any substantial drops. I've never had this being a problem when I lived in Cleveland or Pittsburgh.

So, our half and endcap electronic clearance is in a city of 150,000+ with a Target on each side of town.

Has anyone recently seen any copies of Karaoke Revolution on their clearance endcaps? I see that the list only shows the PS3 version... does anyone know if the 360 version is on clearance too?

Motherfuckin' sonofabitch!!! I checked my closest Target tonight and the copy of Demon's Souls I brought back and then returned from a further off Target was gone.

Figures. Only week I don't really check Target for any possible drops and it disappears.

They also marked down all of the GH/Singstar games from $19.98 to $9.98 FINALLY.

Damn man... that sucks. :( My Target had marked down Singstar Queen and GH: Metallica to $9.98, but GH5 was still $14.98. Hopefully they drop GH5 down fairly quickly....
spotted singstar queen for ps3 for 9.98 tonight but passed on it since I don't have the microphones and am not a huge queen fan ;)
And yet, that's the only Singstar compilation I would actually enjoy. Most of the rest contain music from singers/groups that are just shittastic imo.

But since it's the standalone version, I'd have to buy the mics and those are $10 each at frickin' GS used.

Wow, they sell them for $10 EACH now? I think I bought a pack of 2 used for $10 about a year ago. If you have a Sears nearby you might be able to find Singstar Volume 2 with 2 mics for $15.

If you can find the Singstar Bundle for $14.97 at Sears, you could always just keep the microphones and sell the game for around $10

It probably won't drop past $14.98, isn't that the 75% off price?

Totally off topic but it's nice to see another Big Red fan around here. I grew up in NE so I was of course raised to love the Cornhuskers, haha

Hahahaha, I like Queen, but I really don't think I'd enjoy them in Singstar form. I know that I certainly don't have Freddy Mercury's voice or range, and I think that hearing any of my friends try to do it would be an exercise in excruciating pain as well. I could probably pull off the Bowie part in "Under Pressure" if that's on there, but beyond that it would be a complete waste.

I mean, really, of all the artists to pick to focus a karaoke game on . . .

Best deal on mics is Sears or Kmart $14.99 singstar 2 (ps3)
I have an extra Queen to trade (yep, known bohemian since I was XX years old .. every word ...and american pie>..lol)

That's if you can find one of the $14.99 holiday bundles, donut. I had one in ummm 'reserve'(stashed behind a stack of Buzz bundles), but someone found it and bought it.

I have been to lots of Targets this week between Baltimore and DC. All stores seem to have Batman for PC for about $12, and SingStar Queen for $10, no mic.

I can get the bundles fairly easy right now, but shipping will be at least $7 ...

I had one of them from Sears for $1.97, but I sold it to Blockbuster for $36 in credit back when they still gave decent TIV's.
Passed on GH Smash Hits for $10
Going by the #s it's left on the shelf, it's not going down any further.

ah, nice flip.
Cheapest I've seen is $14.97 2 mic bundle packs (ps2/3) and $7.48 for PS2 1 mic sets (lol titles such as High School Musical lol)

mailbox cleared ...

Amazon Queen $17.32 shipped (not bad)

Spoiled the local El Stasho in Fairlawn, OH today. There was a copy of GH: Smash Hits :360: hidden among the baseball cards. It got put back on the clearance endcap. :p
They still give $36 for it.
But there's a note on the system supposedly that they're not supposed to take stuff with hardware in. If that's the case, then I'd probably get shut down really quick at BBV. Then again, I'd want to find a bundle for $5 or less, since anything more and I'd refuse to flip it.
