Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

The employees usually have the clearance markdowns on the games done between 30 minutes to an hour after opening at the two closest Targets to me. I just ask one of the employees (that probably wouldn't fall into the CAG demographic, of course :D) to scan the games for me or tell me if they have already been marked down. This morning the girl was doing it when I got there and she scanned all the games I was interested in for me.

I don't know why I keep trying. PS3 Singstar Queen was $9.98 and that was the only clearance title I found that wasn't for pc at 2 different Targets today.
Ditto, one of my targets easily has 30+ of these things (wired x360 controllers)... I'm not even joking. Been sitting at 19.98 for ~2 months.
Target on exit 10 on 459 finally dropped the price of these. There are easily 30+ $9.98 wired white X360 controllers there! Snagged one. :bouncy: Also a copy of GH Smash Hits X360 for 9.98. Didn't see anything else.

At the Target in Orange, CA there were some Transformer PC games (didn't check the price), a few random spatterings of home console games not worth mentioning, some old Guitar Hero guitar bundles in the $50 range, and a ton of Battle of Giants: Dinosaurs at 50% off for 9.xx off the normal price of 19.xx. The game is going for $17.99 used at GameStop, and used for 200 points / $10 on Goozex. Seems like it might be worth it if you have small kids / have the mind of a third grade boy.

Can't go wrong with a cover like this, right?

Saw Assassins Creed (the newest one) for the DS at 20.98...

Picked up a GTA:Chinatown Wars DS for 4.98 surprised that was there at all so too bad to the dude that tried to hide it. (someone must've gotten their stash raided)

WTF

I have to go to a Target I last saw these at...but that was about 1 1/2 weeks ago and they were still 27.98

Yeah, I was shocked, probably has to do with the fact they have 30+ lol. I think this store may be the local consolidation store for overstocked product.

A CAG-related deal: I picked up 3 of the green recycled material padded mailers at the Chapel Hill, OH Target tonight at $.27 a piece.(75% off)

Great for the games I need to ship out!

nothing at my local target (gulf coast town center, if you don't live around here you won't know where it is). i checked left 4 dead goty, $30, and phantom hourglass, $35. we have a few targets though, so i may try another one and bring a bunch of barcodes to scan.

i did see bakugan (360) for $12.48 in the glass case where the 360 games are, though. so i suppose i can't say "nothing" :D

Someone had actually mentioned in another thread, I think about shipping, that their Target had cleared out a whole bunch of shipping materials. Might have to check mine out. I can always use some cheap mailers.

A bunch of printers went on clearance at my Target. If they drop again in the next couple of weeks my fiancee will be getting the least romantic birthday present ever. Nothing else interesting.

Rohnert Park and Santa Rosa Target clearance games as of 3/15

PC

Ghost Buster 4.98
Batman AA 14.98
NBA 2k10 12.98
Transformers 12.98

360
MUA2 14.98 ( only a few copies )

Any CAG's in here from the Mechanicsburg/Harrisburg(PA) area who can tell me if the Target on Carlisle Pike has anything decent left? I'm headed there on Thursday for the auto auction and I wanna know if I'm wasting my time by stopping there or not.

I'm hoping they have one of the copies of Demon's Souls left and it made it down to $15. Anyone from that area?

Wii points for more than half off is a damn good. As someone pointed out in the SD thread, it's likely because Nintendo has re-branded these as "Nintendo Points," seeing as you can them for content on both the Wii and DSi. I'm sure plenty of us have gotten cheap XBL subs in the past because of this kind of thing, when MS switched from the blister packs to the gift cards.
Did anyone snag the :pc: Bioshock 2: CE I had my eye on at Target in Irvine off Jamboree/Irvine Blvd? :p

If so, kudos.
Yeah I got it around 2:00 today. Sorry about that.

I think the only reason I got it was because it was still stickered at $55.98, but when I punched in the numbers at the price checker it came up at $19.98. The chastity belt they strap onto the box ripped the outer sleeve, but the main box was still fine.

I also came across the XBOX 360 memory units at another location. It's the 512mb memory card, which comes with the WORMS game, on clearance for $20.98.

Of course, those deals are nothing compared to my other find.

I got FRONTIER SHARP SHOOTER for $7.48 :hot:, the console-free video game, (batteries not included, "video" not included). It comes with a wireless Rifle controller (batteries not included) that uses a harmless infrared beam;). All kidding aside, it turned out to be pretty fun and I'll pick up another one so I can duel-wield those rifles, assuming I find another copy at $7.48

Now if I could only find a wired 360 controller for $9.98. All the stores around me are either out of them or pricing them at 27.98

Hmm I would like one of those Memory units for my xbox 21$ is still kinda high I have never seen them around the New England area at all on clearance.

I only found those memory cards at one store and they only had about five of them out there. If they start showing up on clearance at other locations, it may mean that a new memory card is going to get released. Something to keep in mind when deciding what's a good price at which to bite.

I forgot to mention that I also came across Spectrobes for the DS at $2.54. Aside from that, the console games were pretty much wiped out from last weeks finds.

My store had Tekken 6 for 14.98, Guitar Hero 5 for 12.48 and Resident Evil 5 for 9.98. I didn't buy any of them because I literally can't afford it right now. Would these games be worth anything traded in anywhere? I already checked Amazon and GS, but it doesn't seem worth it.

well wii points for me! now I regret not going to any Targets yesterday  gotta get that new Gladiator game, Blaster Master Plus, maybe another..

and handsomepete, is that NBA Jam really going to be WiiWare? Looks like it'll be a full fledged disc for $50..which I would gladly pay for either way!

I just assumed it would be WiiWare - I can't believe they would make a full release out of it. Sure looks like you're right, or at least there's a $50 pre-order for it on gamestop's site right now. Blaster Master Plus though, totally forgot about that. Yowza.

Did Target website look up on those half off Wii points, found hillsboro & Tanesborne OR had "Limited Availablity", was at Tanesborne store at open today, checked all over electronics, nothing, talked with the guy in electronics and he acted like they discontinued them awhile ago??

So can the Target website just not be trusted in these cases? should have it said a # of product they had before checking or does it simply always say "Limited Availablity" at any inventory level?

Anyway didn't check Hillsboro, didn't want to waste the gas again going out there, as every time I do they don't have what they are suppost to.

Also going to take a LONG Target GAG break, all the greater westside Portland area Targets are pretty cleaned out these days. Somebody should post if they find any Wii cards so I can see if I gave up too fast.

Otherwise best deal I found all week was Halo 1 & 2 for $2 a pop at a local pawn shop :)

When Beatles Rock Band started clearancing, all the targets near me never showed stock on the website, yet had them in store.

Other items, I've see go to limited availability when they are clearanced.

Now i have to hit 3 targets at lunch to see about these Wii points ;)

Saw the Singstar Queen for PS3 for 19.98

Prototype for PS3 for 27.98
Punch Out! for Wii for 34.98
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 for 27.98

All were in a Target in Long Island, NY
Not really clearance so much, but I saw Bioshock :pc: at a "price drop" down to 4.98 today.
I went to the Target on 8503 S Sam Houston Pkwy (Houston, TX) and was lucky. I found Fight Night: Round 4 for :360: for $9.98, the last copy. It was sitting on top of the :360: behind the glass.

:pc: Bioshock - $4.98 (It said price drop and there was only 1 copy left)
:ps3: Singstar Queen - $9.98
:360: Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 - $41.98
:wii: Nothing on clearance
:ds: Imagine: Soccer Captain - $9.98
and some other game that I don't think anybody is interested in.

The :360: wired controller had a $39.90 price, but asked a guy who had a scanner nearby and they scanned to $27.98.

:wii: points, I forgot to check.

saw the $20 Wii cards for $13.xx, PSP and DS chargers for $4.xx, Rock Band 360 Microphone controller $14.xx, Guiness book of world records DS for $9.xx, Guitar Hero World Tour Wii $9.xx

:ps3: Marvel Ultimate Alliance $27.98

:360: 512 MB Memory Unit $20.98

:360: Battery pack $8.xx

Bought the last two batteries as you can't find these easily anymore without having to buy the play and charge kit.

Target by work had about three of the memory units for 360 for $20.98 but I passed. I did grab the last 2 rechargeable batteries for $8.95 each

My Target's 360 glass case was full of MSRP.

Anyone think that because the glass case is full that there will be lots of items on clearance soon? They barely have space for their games.

FYI, the Xbox Live Vision cam bundles now have the NCF prefix at some stores. Haven't spotted them on clearance yet, but it is coming!

I saw the same, bought one left one.

What is NCF?

Basically everyone I know (even non-IRL) has a vision cam (which makes it sad it's not used on like anything). I have one friend who does not have one, so if it was randomly cheap as heck I might pick one up for them. I assume stores will no longer be getting them since Natal will do anything the vision cam already does.

All the stores around me are either out of them or pricing them at 27.98
 CAG is great. I suspected it was someone here. :)

My g/f got there at 2:15, you must have just beat her.
