Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

ElHoardo1.jpg

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

PSP - Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core - $13.98 (2 copies)

PS3/Xbox 360 Rock Band Drum kit - $20.98 ( 3 Xbox 360, 2 PS3)

PS2 - DJ Hero - I want to say it was $69 but I don't remember

Damn. Got semi-excited when I saw some wired 360 controllers marked as clearance at the Route 22 store in NJ. But unfortunately, they were marked ~$30 and scanned as such. Oh, well.

Do Xbox 360 Wired controllers work for computers. I somehow remember someone somewhere saying something along those lines. I know vaguest question of the day I'm sure :p

Yes, wired controllers work with windows.

Wireless ones appear to work with windows 7 via a play and charge kit.(what I found)

Wireless ones also work with windows if you buy the wireless adapter.
Picked up 2 psyclone wireless controllers for gamecube for 10.49. My son still plays the gamecube and he can use them for wii. Thought that was worth mentioning if anyone needs a wireless controller for wii/gamecube.
Ok checked another target these things are now 7.48... needless to say I bought two and will be returning them to get the diff back.

Hey guys,

This really isn't video game related, but Target deals in general. I have a question and figure you guys would be the experts.

Does anyone know how Target would handle this situation:

Target has a promotion where you buy two items and they discount it $10. Then, I have four coupons, all manufacturers, two for each item. Would they allow all those coupons to be used, or would they most likely limit it to one per item?

I've never had this situation and was just curious if anyone else has had coupons experiences at Target that may know.

Thanks!

Toy Story Blu-rays?? Which two coupons? I'm not sure the answer to your question, sorry, but I plan on buying them and have 2 coupons, not 4.

There's a whole discussion about the Toy Story coupons over in the DVD/Bluray deal section.

That said, Target will take ONE manufacturer coupon and ONE Target coupon per item.

Thanks, I thought that was their policy, but just wanted to check.

On another note, I have been checking Target regularly and the clearance has been awful since just before Christmas. They have had a few PC games on sale, one or two games, at most and the rest is CDs and things like that. Looking forward to some fresh deals soon :D
Someone was asking if anyone has noticed The Strike on clearance. I just spotted it this morning for $54.xx (x360)
I've seen it for $40 before, but I'm waiting for it to go down a bit more before I bite. Now, if only Sega ever made a port or HD Remix of Sega Bass Fishing Duel or Sega Marine Fishing that was compatible with the controller, that'd be an instant buy for me. :)

There are $10 off each manufacturer's "upgrade" coupons from the Disney Rewards site. Thus 2 x $10

On top of that, there are $5 off each manufacturer's coupons from some other Disney site. Thus 2 x $5

On top of that, there was the $8 off Upgrade2Blu manufacturer's coupon(s), if you managed to get that in on time. Not sure if it's $8 off of each or just one coupon for $8.

Plus, for extra bonus, there's the $3 off Disney blu rays Target coupon that doesn't include Toy Story/Toy Story 2, but will most likely scan successfully.
Nothing new at my Target. Just Brutal Legend for $29.98 still...
i was on kmart yesterday and they have brutal legend on 19.99 and also fallout 3 for 19.99 and there was a ton of copies

Just to clarify. You can't combine the two manufacturers (at least, they should deny them) and the $8 coupon is a mail-in deal for upgrading your existing DVD. It's not a store coupon.

Overall if any POS (Target, TRU, etc) will accept multiple Manufacturer coupons for one item DVD, etc. IT DOES NOT adversely affect the retailer.
Coupons are processed in batches (basically all lumped together by value) and turned in.
If fact all larger retailers receive not only the face value but on average an additional $ + % for just accepting the coupon! So the retailer will be made whole and then some on all accepted coupons.

I know this for a fact and am not speculating as so many other have...

Coupons are processed in batches (basically all lumped together by value) and turned in.
If fact all larger retailers receive not only the face value but on average an additional $ + % for just accepting the coupon! So the retailer will be made whole and then some on all accepted coupons.

I can confirm this.

Picked up :360: (official) wired controllers x2 @ $9.98 each at the Target in Rossford OH. There was one left .

Thank you for posting this. Thank you.
i was on kmart yesterday and they have brutal legend on 19.99 and also fallout 3 for 19.99 and there was a ton of copies
If you don't mind used, check your local blockbuster if you still have one. Its down to $9.99 there. I was able to pick up a copy for $9, since mine was closing and all games were 10% off.

The store on Jefferson near Overland in Culver City put out a HUGE load of clearance games. They also have lots of PS2/PS3 accessories on clearance like the HDMI/USB cable pack for $12.xx or so...still had to pass because monoprice is so much cheaper.

As far as the clearance games, they were mostly PS2 games, a few copies of Crisis Core, Final Fantasy 1, and some other PSP games. Xbox360 games were the usuals of Saints Row, Fable 2, and some other crap.

In howell NJ today I picked up Fallout 3 for 9.98 and rockband drums for 20.28. They also had tons of ps2/e accessories on clearance and DJ hero for PS3 AT 55.98 I just ran out of money!

Understood and I agree. My comment was geared toward the cashiers who are not supposed to accept multiple manufacturer coupons on the same item. As far as I know, most stores have this policy.
Once again my Target clearances are devoid of anything, save for AA batteries and iPod scratch covers.

What gives?
I think it's just a dry time. There always seems to be a point between cycles where things get bleak. The only games I saw were three copies of :360: Tiger Woods 10 for $30. It's a sad sight, but hopefully soon more stuff gets put into the clearance pipeline.

Saw 2 wired Xbox 360 controllers for $9.98 in Redwood City CA...doubt they will be here past today. I would have picked up one but i dont need any.

The only thing new I saw today at the South Huntsville Target was Crazy Pig for 7.XX. I passed, although I'm normally a sucker for a crazy pig.

My Target had one lone 360 wired controller that I've been needing for XNA & game dev for $9.98. I hid that shit well & will go back friday to get it when I get paid.

Why would you post this here? What did you expect as a response?

When/if you get a game up and running be sure to post it around here so I know what to avoid because it was made by some asshole that hides shit in target.

Total prick. You deserve a punch to the face.

He's hiding one so he can buy it himself. Much less egregious an offense than buying a bunch to sell for profit. Lay off.
My Target had 2000 Wii points cards priced at $9.98 (down from $19.99.)

Snagged 2, and left the other 10 or so.
What's the deal with Wii points on clearance? Are they marked as such?
Yes they are althought slightly altered. The creators of Guitar Hero rewrote all the tracks for all there games with an alternate drum track to compensate for the rock band drums having only 4 strike pads whild the guitar hero one has 5. So yes they work and honestly are a lot easier to start on. But I think you could have found a better deal. Kmart had made some deal with the manufacturer and walmart also come to think of it. They both had em on sale for 7-8$ I picked up 2 just for backups but if it was the wireless one you picked up then you made a real score not to put down your find just my very long 2 cents hope this helps Cheers
Thanks for the info. It's always nice to see another Simpsons fan.

I went to K-Mart today and there were no drum sets, only addons like petals and drumsticks. How long ago did you buy your sets?
The Rock Band drums are compatible with Guitar Hero, but the GH drums will not work with RB.

Careful though, I have seen the wired Rock Band drum set at a few Wal-Marts for $10, so if that's the same one, you may want to check there first.
The clearance sets appear to be wireless. I say that because the picture on the back doesn't show wires yet it doesn't say whether or not it had wires. The closest Wal-mart to me is 20-30 minutes depending on traffic. Are people still finding Walmart sets at $10?

Did you forget to take your meds today?

I returned a set of drums about 3 weeks ago that were $10. They were the wired RB1 drums. Got the $62.50 Beatles set, and I figured I'd rather have a wireless set with the option to add cymbals over a wired set.
