Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

I saw plenty of some DS today at two locations. Dunno if it was the DSi or DS Lite though. I'll check in the morning if I go after a $10 Playstation USB pack.(hopefully they have dropped)

I just got that camera from amazon for $179. I don't know about the auto-focus but the video is really decent. The mic is better than my vado HD but the video is a bit washed out compared to the vado hd.
 
I saw some digital cameras on clearance for $50-$70. They may or may not have been display models though. I think there were a couple Canon ones, and at least one Kodak.
 
Hopefully for tomorrow, Tiger Woods 10 should drop $14.98. And NBA 2k10 for PC for $4.98. I saw a couple of Ps2 Games (people still playing Ps2?).
 
Hit two Targets in the crappy weather this morning, total bust.

:wii: terrible shovelware 2-packs (Looney Toons, I Spy, etc.) $20.xx

I asked two employees at each store to see if the clearance markdowns had been completed in the games section because it was so bare. I might check again at the nearest one after school today.

I miss the days that I was getting a new :ps3:/:360: game every week for less than $15 :cry:.

Let me know if anyone sees a price drop on COD:WAW for Wii. Last week it was at 19.98 but I'm hoping for a drop this week. It's really nasty weather here in Miami today but if anyone spots a drop, I might brave the weather to run out at lunch.

As long as they're still individually packed it should be okay:D. Bah anyway never understood the fun in buying condoms whenyou can get for free in health centers(especially university ones).
 
I picked up Bass pro shop The Strike/with rod for 19.99, figured i'll check it out or save it, it might be one of those games that might be worth alot down the road, u think??

couple of Target Stores has this game on clearance YMMV, only saw 1 Store from 5 visited last week who has this game on Clearance. Hope I can find Tiger Woods for $14.98.

Its a really fun game at first, it does get old though. If it would have had online MP then that would have made it way better. My reel ended up dying on me also, it has a little motor in it or something that makes the reel tighten up when you have a fish on. It really does give you the feeling of real fishing. After a month or so my reel petered out on me. Its pretty much a steal though at the price you grabbed it for!

Picked up a Logitech Harmony 720 for $75. I'll keep it at this price but I'm watching and hoping they go to 75% off.

Marvel Utlimate Alliance 2 for the PS3 was $9.98 at the Sacramento Broadway location. There were 2 copies left at lunchtime today. They weren't on the endcaps though - they were located on the aisle that has the greatest hits games.

They were also marked $27.98 (but scanned at $9.98).

Picked up SFIV for the PC :) ( its wierd because 2 weeks ago they didnt even have it on the show floor ?)

I am finally seeing the PC version of Bioshock 2 Collector's Edition dropping down on clearance . when it hits $19.98 ITS ALL MINE

I know Band Hero clearanced a few weeks ago at many locations, but only one store near me dropped it (down to $50 before it sold). All others were still full price.

Now a few more stores are marking them down (currently around $110). Worth looking if you gave up on a drop the last time.

Nice find, I'll check my store tomorrow if they have any and its at that price.
 
One of my local Targets got a BOATLOAD of new games out today-- sadly 95% of them were PS2 titles, and nothing particularly great. I did see 360 Tetris and Sega Genesis Collection for $13.98, and PS3 Band Hero is finally starting to get marked down at $125. I'm really hoping one of the copies survives to the $50 level, as one of the 360 copies did...

Target clearance isn't what it once was. I don't know if its because there are more people going after the games or if target changed their polices

Dammit. Now I'm paranoid that I missed MotorStorm at my Target. I might have to go back out.

I did get $10 Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 for PS3. Crazy drop there, I don't remember it being on clearance at all in previous weeks. All the sudden it drops from the listed MSRP of 39.99 to 9.98. I can deal with the joke of a DLC situation for ten bucks.

if a store doesn't clearance a game that is on sale at other targets, does it generally
go on clearance the following week?
 
Mine is horribly slow on the markdowns. It's been at least 4 weeks in the least markdowns of some head phones I've been tracking. No games. At least I got some Kodak rechargables AA (2100mah) w/1 hour charger for 85% off at $3.14.

No. Clearance is sometimes used by one store to clear out an excess of product. After they sell down a bit, they raise the price right back up to full MSRP. And nearby stores never clearance it at all.
