Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.
Is it a harddive for the PS3?
I'm pretty sure it isn't. A PS3 HDD is like laptop HDDs, 2.5 SATA if I remember correctly. You could use this with your PS3, but not replace the HDD with it.

bah, the stores near me didn't seem to do a whole lot. Some of the PS2 shovelware that's been rotting in the clearance for a month finally dropped to 50% off. Nearly picked up PS2 Motorstorm for $15 but figured I'd likely be able to match or beat that price soon enough elsewhere, so I left it in hopes of maybe getting it for $7...

The store near me with 6 of the 500gb HDs STILL hasn't started them on clearance. I'm hoping they actually did their markdowns today as I really need a couple of those for work (and since my budget at work is near $0 I'd like to get them for $35 or less since it's out of my pocket), I'd hate to miss them due to a late clearance crew...

I did pick up a couple 25' HDMI cables for $17 which is pretty close to Monoprice's cost, and without shipping, so that seemed like a decent deal. (down from $70)
Thanks. I still have it. My PH copy is still sealed so I was thinking the easiest thing to do would be to just walk up to customer service and ask if I can return then re-buy it.
I guess I can do what you recommended too.
Chances of return/rebuy are slim to nil nowadays because people abuse the fuck out of it.

Best luck you'll have is buying it for 9.98 then bringing it back a day or two later with the method I suggested.
Lots of great info... Thanks :)
I agree. Does anyone have UPC info for these particular drives?
To the guy that bought 16 Beatles Rock band Beatles before I can get F U. I saw them on your cart and I just asked for one.
El Hoardo strikes again!

Geez, how much did they buy them for? If they were $10, I can't imagine how that is a very profitable pick up. The value of those things has dropped considerably. Unless they are planning on trading them in to the Best Buy deal, which seems a bit shady.

Check out Blockbuster. They are running a B1G1 on used games. I paired BRB with another $15 game and got it for $7.50 + tax.
Depends on the store and person working customer service. Most Targets, I'd say no, it won't work. But I used to do it at one particular Target after I saw some other guy pull it off successfully. I only tried it a couple times, but it worked each time.
I tried it at an out of town Target about 6 months ago with FEAR 2 and some other PS3 game I bought somewhere else for more. I went back to electronics and said I was looking for X and Y games and then mentioned that I just returned them up front.

Lucky for me the employee got called at that very moment to go pick up the electronics returns and on the top of the stack of games/cds/dvds were my two games with 'as-is' stickers on them and the percentage had been bumped up to the clearance price for that store.;)

But to save the additional percentage I did, it was well worth it for me. Plus, it was on the weekend and I had nowhere I had to be anytime soon that day.

I didn't see much of interest at my Target. No hard drives, which was the purpose of the trip.

Guitar Hero 5 - $24.95
The Beatles: Rock Band - $19.95

Also a combination of the following at prices to high to remember:
Band Hero Bundle
DJ Hero
Guitar Hero 3 Bundles (360/PS3/PS2)
Guitar Hero: Smash Hits
Guitar Hero: Van Halen
Check out Blockbuster. They are running a B1G1 on used games. I paired BRB with another $15 game and got it for $7.50 + tax.
No it was the whole bundle for $42.

Hopefully there's not much desire for that bundle anymore and he sits on a bunch of em. Sorry to hear that, but what do you expect out of people?

WHAT?? Seriously. What an a-hole. And I'm even more surprised the Target employees didn't stick up for you. If it were me working and I saw a reseller like that, and there was someone who wanted one of them, I would have come up with some quick BS story like "We need to keep at least one so that our logistics team can defect back to the manufacturer and clear it out of our system. Sorry, sir, store policy."

I'm surprised they didn't take issue with the fact that he was trying to sell Target's merchandise within the store without having paid for it.

I seriously would have just taken one out of his cart when no employees were around and let him try and fight me for it. fuck that shit.
More like 3 carts and I asked him what he was doing with them, he told me ebay. And I asked for one he said I could buy it from him, I complained to the target people but they said theres no limit.
 I admit being a prick like this to the one local CAG when Circuit City had some PS2 bundle(Marc Ecko's Getting Up, I think it was) for like $5-7 or so that was getting $20+ in CASH at FYE.

I specifically remember telling the local CAG that 'if he wanted one he could pay me what FYE was gonna give me'.;)

Nowadays unless it's a 3-5x flip(like those were), I'll leave everything for everyone else. Though guides I might still 'grab all dem shitz' on, since you never know when the stores are going to crack down 100% and disallow ANY sales or giveaways of them.

Though $40 something for a bundle of shitty plastic 'instruments' and yet another rhythm game would've been a no buy for me. Now if they were $10 or so, I might consider it. But $40 something each. fuck no.

i don't know what's more amazing. the fact that he was able to fit 16 bundles into 3 carts (how did he even manage pushing the carts to checkout) or that 16 beatles bundles lasted this long past the 62.50 price point and into 90% off territory.
Nothing game wise today, but check out the other electronic sections today.

Alot of headphones and earbuds went to 75% off and some MP3 players as well.

4GB and 8GB thumbdrives went to 75% off...$6 and $10 respectively. Great for the new 360 update!

Printers and printer paper 75% off.

Under-cabinet radios and tv/dvd combos went to 50% off...final markdown too as they are on the 15-30-50% off schedule.

Nav systems 50% off...final markdown also.

All Harmony remotes down to 75% off and also that Phillips RF extender.

I think some digital picture frames were down too but I really didn't look to hard at those.
Thanks for the update. I was at that Target Sunday night, waiting for the thumbdrives to hit 75%, so I had to head out today! Just wish they had some 16GBs in at the Culpeper store.

Printers I saw were only marked down 50%; or at least the tags were 50%. Didn't try to scan one.
Hopefully there's not much desire for that bundle anymore and he sits on a bunch of em. Sorry to hear that, but what do you expect out of people?
Back when the 360 bundles hit $62.50, I picked up one for myself and managed to snag another. Right then, eBay learned of the price drop, and there were NIB bundles not even selling for $120 with free shipping. I figure that box would cost $25-$30 to ship, and I'd probably have to sell it at $100. After eBay and PayPal fees, I was looking at maybe $10-$15 profit, if that. Tried selling it to some co-workers for what I paid, but got no takers. Ended up returning it.
I'm surprised they didn't take issue with the fact that he was trying to sell Target's merchandise within the store without having paid for it.
If he would have told the employees that, I think (or hope) that they'd take issue with that and boot the reseller out of the store. Either way, it's the store's right to refuse any sale, clearance or no. Take all the clearance you want, that's why it's there -- but don't be a PITA if someone else comes in just wanting one.

Even if you don't mind flipping/hoarding, or you do it yourself, I doubt you can argue that someone who buys 16 boxes of RB: Beatles and won't give one up to another customer who asks is anything other than a piece of shit.

Hey now. I've switched back to being a nice guy(at times), as long as you're not a bossy buyer and wanting things catered to your liking 10000%, especially if I'm the one going out of my way to buy something you can't find. I ship the way I ship and I take only the payment forms I take. Don't like it, then oh well.:D;):booty:

The 500GB hard drive is still $48.98 for at least the 3rd week (might be the 4th week), at this rate it will probably drop out of the system at 30% off.
I'm curious about Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 for $15. I've seen a few post about it but is it really on clearance or what?!
Well I checked and at my Target it was $60 so no go there.

Does anyone have any targets with extra WD Elements HDDs? I need one of them, but all my targets have them at full price. If you're willing to pick one up for me, then PM me.

Hell yea, i would totally do the same and love for that dude to try and take a first swing at me, i'd drop him faster than the prices of those games he's buying

Speaking of the electronics clearance stuff, I was at Target today and noticed that the Sony noise-cancelling earbud headphones (MDRNC33) are now 75% off of their original $99.99 price. I'm severely tempted by this, and I'll probably pick them up. $25 is a *lot* lower than everywhere else I've seen. They seem to be middle-range quality (nowhere *near* Bose quality from what I've read, but then, they're not $300 now, are they?) at best from what I've read of them, but still: if they're not at least $25 worth of decent, I'm sure Target will take them back.

I have them from the last time Target clearanced them out. They are decent and definitely worth $25. They do actually cancel out certain noises, but are not Bose quality, but like you said they are also not $300. I would pick a second pair up if I could find them for $25.

If you want, I'll probably be picking up a set for me, and they had four sets there. I could grab you a set if you'd like. Shipping'd be cheap, I imagine.
