Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in gold are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

ElHoardo1.jpg

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Damn prices refuse to drop here. Been staring at 34.99 copies of Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 and 19.99 copies of Tekken 6 for like 2 weeks now =/.

Also, the employee's are getting crafty with thier hiding spots

I saw :ps3: Guitar Hero 5 guitar bundle for $22.48 (75% off) today. Unfortunately no 360 version, which I would buy for that price.

No stand-alone clearance console games at all on the endcap, though. Maybe they hadn't done the monday morning re-pricing yet due to halloween markdowns, as someone suggested. The only clearance game I saw other than the bundle was :360: Backyard Football, in the plastic prison, for 30% off.
Picked up:

Borderlands - $14.98
Beatles Rock Band - $14.98
Prototype - Free

All PS3
how did you get prototype for free ?
The $14.99 - $59.99 restriction is based on pre-clearance price, so it should still be valid. When you check it at the scanner, it will show "Special Purchase" on the right hand side of the screen if it qualifies.
Didn't work that way for me. I got some gifts today:

2x DS Clubhouse Games @ 4.98 each
1x DS Littlest Pet Shop Country @ 7.48

and there was no free game. Paid 18.xx total. Checked at the scanner and there was no "Special Purchase" notation either.
Just about every available team member will be marking down Halloween stuff or setting up Xmas stuff. I'm betting the electronics markdowns aren't very high on the "to-do-list" today.
Halloween items drop automatically without the need of team members.

I bought a Guitar Hero 5 bundle for 360 for 22.48 today. I tried to use it for the b2g1 free and it did not work for me. :(

Either way, I was able to get Borderlands GOTY edition (360) for 29.99 today so thats a good thing.
How?
Oh, I got lucky. Someone put a 29.99 price tag on it and I had found it in the same section as the Platinum Hits version. It rang up as 59.99 but the associate noticed the error and was like "oh you are getting a 59.99 game for 29.99" and entered the price manually.

So, let's say I bought a third game today that I wouldn't necessarily mind keeping, but wasn't my top choice because my choice was out of stock.

If I don't open it, how likely is it I can straight exchange (with a receipt) just that game for another game when this sale is over and they restock?

It's only B2G1 on Wii, 360, and PS3 games.

Picked up a 360 GH5 bundle for $22.48; even though the PS3 is my platform of choice for music games I figured having a GH5 guitar isn't a bad idea in terms of multiplayer or whatever. I might change my mind, but didn't want to pass on it for that price.

Saw a decent amount of new (to my stores) stuff but nothing really new to this thread, more catch-up stuff (like PS3 SFIV for $20.98 and NG2 for $34.98; sure wish that was SSFIV instead!)

actually i work at target and the halloween markdowns done by the system which means the price change team doesn't have to do anything over there. went to 3 targets today(including my own) all three had did there clearance already and it was about 10:00 when i was done. my target didn't have any good mark downs but the second one i went to had the gutiar hero 5 bundles for 22 and i picked up a band hero band kit for wii for 44.00 for a christmas gift.

Dab nab it !
I could have bought this in my buy two get one!
22.48/20.48/20.48....dammit, maybe I'll head back and switch out one of my 20.98 and pay the difference...
just in case I'm too late...may I ask the dcpi # on the bundle?

Picked up PS3 Beatles RB x 2 (one for a friend, hopefully) and Borderlands for $44.xx with B2G1. I wanted to wait til Beatles dropped, but with the B2G1 it came out to the price I was waiting for anyway.

People have been saying the GH5 bundle isn't working for B2G1... and I'm at work without the bundle in front of me but I'll try to post the DCPI later...
Saw :ps3:MAG for $41.xx
Wow, MAG is a Greatest Hits title with a current MSRP of $29.99.

Scored!

2x Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 $20.98 each
Borderlands $20.98
$46.XX

Gonna flip the other NGS2 on eBay so I get most of my money back.

I bought GH5 bundle (ps3) x2 and the bioshock 2 LE and it didn't work for the B2G1.

The rep said it was because they were bundles (lol) and because they were on clearance (double lol). I think it was because all 3 were originally more than $59.99.

I'm kinda glad to hear the GH5 bundle doesn't work with B2G1 since I was so excited to find the last :ps3: version I grabbed it and ran without thinking. LOL

I don't know if these are new markdowns, but it was my first sighting of them and they were only at one store. Seems a few :ds: games were marked 30% off:
Legend of Starfy
Glory of Heracles
Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter
Yu-Gi-Oh!5D's World Championship 2010

I also picked up a :ps3: GH5 bundle. I didn't bring any of my music game accessories when I moved so its nice to finally have something to play.

Argh! NGs2, AvP and Singularity (all PS3) haven't change in price:bomb:. Still holding at 35-42 for each one.

Did pick up Monopoly
iconwii.gif
for $7.48 and a couple of the Halo shirts at $5 each. Figure Monopoly was worth a shot.

Did find a GH5 bundle for 22.xx. Carried around for awhile and put it back. Love the GH5 controller but couldn't justify the purchase since I already have the game from a previous clearance buy and have too many guitar controllers around the house. Too bad GS doesn't take the controllers anymore as it would have made this a definite buy.

No new drops/finds.

Isn't about time for one of those amazing Target coupons?;)

Who doesn't? I bought because I heard it is a really good guitar and I might be able to sell the game for a few bucks since I already have it.

I stopped at two stores on the way home tonight, and found the :360: GH5 bundle at the second one, for the 75% off price. Just what I was looking for. This store (The Haggerty/8 Mile store in Livonia/Northville) had multiple copies for both 360 and PS3, for anyone local who may be looking for one.

I picked up a copy of the Borderlands first expansion disc (360) with Zombie Island and Mad Moxi on it for $10.48 at my Target in Weston,WI

You guys are lucky enough to find Bioshock 2 LE and GH5 bundle for such cheap prices. The closest three Target stores near me has nothing -_-.

Alrighty...grabbed Borderlands (PS3), Super Street Fighter IV (XBOX 360), and Mass Effect 2 (XBOX 360) for about $43.00, including tax using the B2G1 sale. I'm quite ok with those three for about $14.50 per game. I tried to land bigger fish, but the Force Unleashed II CE they had was above the $59.99 qualifier price, so no luck.

I'm waiting until Thursday for B2G1 - Kinect games. Don't hate. I was planning on just getting one extra game for now. But the deal makes it worth spending the extra $50 to get three games.

You are correct, it is because of the original price from which the markdown was taken being over $59.99.
so guys a Beatles RockBand that came out from $29.99 to $14.98 is legit to be in Buy 2 Get 1 FREE Promotion?
Yes, it qualifies.

My store just WILL NOT BUDGE from $44! It would seem some idiot bought one (there was two) at that price, or somebody hid it. Either way $44 is a joke because I remember seeing it on sale for less then that about 8 or 9 months ago. If it drops to $22 at my store finally it's definitely a buy...but with my luck somebody will get to it before me.

I saw the Halo Reach wireless headset on a rack marked $19.99. I know it's not on clearance but you think they would honor that price since it's clearly on the the rack that says $20? Anyone have any luck with this kind of price mistake

Picked up the last PS3 GH5 bundle on the shelf at the Tustin (CA) Target for $22.48. Great deal for an extra guitar for Rock Band. Hat tip to whoever spotted this markdown first.

Oh snap. I'm gonna have to check on that tomorrow.

I'm gonna say it's pretty doubtful, unless it has an actual tag on it with a 19.99 price.

Based on the pricetags on my GH5 bundle, it dropped straight from 30% to 75% off, never even hit the 50% off price point here. Probably because they wanted the shelf space for RB3 (and that Power Gig game they are actually carrying), so they seem to be pushing them out this week.

Did it actually scan that price?

The GH5 bundle I bought was labeled $62, but rang up $22 when I checked the price.

Picked up Zoo Tycoon 2 $5, Prototype (PS3) $15, Silent Hill (Wii) $20 and WWE vs Raw 2010 (PS3) $15 - $15 (Free Game) under $40 plus taxes :)
