Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in gold are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Just went to a nearby Target.
Here's what I grabbed:

Splinter Cell: Conviction - PC= $12.48
Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days - PC = $12.48
Disciples II: Gold = $4.98
Fritz Chess: Grandmaster Challenge III = $2.48

Ubi better make Ghost Recon kick so much @ss or I'm gonna kick their ass!!!

I play tested the multiplayer aspect of the new one about a year ago. Of course I can't say much about it, but one of the maps/modes was pretty awesome.

So for the black ops deal you get $20 off turlte beach AND the $25 dollor coupon and save 25 on select games? ALL three deals? or do you only get 2?

All three although it is $25 worth of points instead of a coupon. Crazy right?
saw Rock Band 2 SE :360: (full band kit) starting the clearance cycle for 97.98. if it somehow makes it to 75% off that'd be pretty swell.
Saw a few copies of the PS3 bundle in Lexington, KY a couple days ago. At prices that cheap it makes me want to rebuy and sell off my old Wii set. Since I haven't committed to RB3 on Wii yet or bought drums for Wii, finally getting drums and being able to import all the songs sounds pretty great for sub $100, and I can probably make a lot of that back reselling the Wii stuff.
Has anyone had any luck finding the Bioshock 2 CE for Xbox 360 in LA/Orange County?
No LA/OC never has anything good that everyone else gets because its actually populated with high traffic in stores etc etc etc etc etc etc

Saw one out in ontario area, but someone had grabbed it when i was going to go back for it.

Sorry to be a bit of an asshole about this. Any volunteers to run this thread from this point forward? I got one PM, but if there's anyone else interested, I want to hear from them. Just so this thread goes to the best man or gal.

Smithfield RI had a RB 2 bundle for 79.xx for 360, the new Scene It for 360 for 13.xx, and a few older Smackdowns for PS2 and some DS Imagine shovelware. Nothing really of note.
How is the 'always on' connection working out?
Haven't installed it yet.
Will let the boards know, once I install the game.

On another note: had no problems w/ Assassin's Creed 2 PC through the U-Play DRM system, when I played it recently.
That was a surprise to me.

At least I got some U-Play Achievements, I guess... :)

EDIT:
That's why there is a no-drm crack. :D
Indeed.
At least something to fall-back on, if U-Play gives you trouble...

So my Target decided to be stupid and put the clearance games behind a glass case...SPINE FIRST (ie: You can't see the damn price). Like seriously, you want people to see the price and go "WOW! That's cheap, I'm going to buy it!" and not "Huh? I have to track someone down to open up the case just to get a price? fuck that."

Employee's finally found a way to keep customers from buying clearance until they can buy it themselves without stashing it in the back.

Wtf, I can't believe they did that :bomb: Was there some out of control clearance stealing for them to take that kind of measure? That is ridiculous.

That's when you get the DPCI # and if you have one of the Target stores with the scanners where you can enter the numbers in you can check that way without having to wait for someone to open the case to get a game out for a price check.

If it's anything like the Kmart nearest me that had a guy try running out with a bin loaded with clearance games the one year around Christmas(and dumping them all the way up to the front door, which I wish I would've been there to see:lol:), then I can't say I blame them.

It's better than the redneck security measure the one Sears near me tried(mummifying clearance games with clear packing tape by layering it 3-5 layers thick to prevent the old slice n grab routine).

Anyway I checked my closest Target today. Someone had taken the $7.48 sticker off of :ps3:Tiger Woods 10 and I realized after reading the signs in electronics that this B2G1 is strictly for games $14.99 and UP.:bomb:

The $14.99 - $59.99 restriction is based on pre-clearance price, so it should still be valid. When you check it at the scanner, it will show "Special Purchase" on the right hand side of the screen if it qualifies.

My closest store has the old school scanners with no number pad on them, so I'm lucky if they actually even show a price.

I did price check TW 10 and it still came up $7.48, but there's nothing cheap to pair it up with there since I got the Bioshock 2 LE there last week. Even if that were still there somehow, I would be at a loss as to the third game to pair up with those two.

I wish I had managed to get in on the Best Buy B2G1 last week, but that was only for 'select' games and none I wanted.

Yea...I hear ya.. There was so much shit that came out last week but I didn't have the money for it (blu ray's, games...etc) but now that I have the money, everything has gone up! :( BB won't match Targets B2G1 either...bah...

Oddly enough BB's PM is hit or miss. I did get them to PM Kmart's $19.99 on WKC as I had $25 in BB GC's. I went to Kmart hoping to find Nier or NGS2 but none left. :bomb:

I ended up getting the last copy of WKC there (have 2 copies now) w/ my FONV coaster coupon.

I'll probably return the BB copy & get them to PM Nier instead.

Your Kmarts don't have any copies of Nier? One of my closest ones had 4-5 copies, though my one buddy had to have the one employee go in the back to find out if it had indeed price dropped and get it adjusted down to $19.99.

What annoyed me was last week's B2G1 at BB was only on SELECT games and not everything again this year. If it were across the board I would've bought BF: BC2 Ultimate, maybe GTA Complete and Sonic's Genesis Collection for PS3, but that would've come out to about $26 per game, thus making SGC cost MORE than it's MSRP.:whistle2:#

The annoying too was yesterday when I went to Kmart the woman working electronics said that ANYTHING purchased in electronics, she had to personally escort to the customer service desk. This wasn't just me...but other people as well. WTF?!!! This wasn't just items locked up either. There were games or misc electronics items that weren't locked up either.

She was able to pricecheck games on the register in electronics. I don't know if the drawer wasn't open or not or wtf the case was there. She wanted to get snippy w/ me & get an attitude when I asked why they had to be escorted to the front of the store. "Well do you want them or NOT?!!"

I wasn't being difficult, just trying to find the reasoning for this.

Thieves love our clearance end-caps. Just finished a passive-aggressive war with one that kept stashing a Canon behind our stereos. He'd hide it, I'd find it a few hours later, he'd hide it again a few days later, I'd find it a few hours later... this went on and on until I finally found an empty box. It's okay though, AP has a LOT of photos of him now. So nice of him to keep showing up like that. :applause:

People here shouldn't freak out that Target is trying to crack down on their electronics clearance security. Gives the honest people here a shot at scoring some good deals rather than thieves stealing it or hoarders taking everything for themselves.

What's a hardware store? Moreover what's "Gone In 60 Seconds".;) I kid on both counts, but I've never seen more than 20 seconds of Gone In 60 Seconds and I don't think I've ever used a blacklight aside from inside a Spencer's store, not to mention I'm all thumbs when it comes to anything home improvement.:booty:

They do that here at times too. I guess they figure if you try to take the game or whatever with you it's going to disappear. But if you already paid for it in electronics, wouldn't that make it yours anyway, so I don't know what her problem was.

But yeah, I've had at least a few clerks like that.:whistle2:#
Saw Borderlands for 20.98 yesterday at target....Would've picked it up, but didn't have money on me...
Then what are you doing at a Target?

Did tonight's pricechange pull. Looks like drawn to life for the DS is going to get a drop, rock band 2 SE for 360 getting another drop, and those halo reach shirts are getting another pass.

I was able to get Brutal Legend (360) as my free game this morning when I bought a copy of Super Street Fighter IV and Tatsunoko vs. Capcom. It hadn't dropped from its $13.98 price, but it was the only clearance game that I was interested in picking up. Since I had already bought SSF IV, I'm going to return the copy I previously bought and get my $20 back.

There were a few new PS2 games on the clearance shelf including Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 at $14.98. Also, all of the original DJ Hero bundles that were $29.99 had been mysteriously removed from the shelves. Do I smell a Black Friday deal?

Man I'd take advantage of the B2G1 if more was cheaper. If they'd drop the freakin price of their GH5 bundle I'd do that, SSF IV and find something else.
Man I'd take advantage of the B2G1 if more was cheaper. If they'd drop the freakin price of their GH5 bundle I'd do that, SSF IV and find something else.
I'm with you on that one. It told me about 20 minutes to settle on the ones I chose today. There weren't even many decent $20 games on the shelf. Mass Effect 2 is $20 now, but I'm waiting to pick up a pre-owned copy of that game at Blockbuster for $10. And I don't own a PS3. I think the PS3 owners might do the best with the buy 2, get 1 sale this week.

Nothing dropped at the 3 locations I checked today. There's one more location I can check and might do so later, but I don't think they had anything that interested me there anyway.

Just about every available team member will be marking down Halloween stuff or setting up Xmas stuff. I'm betting the electronics markdowns aren't very high on the "to-do-list" today.
That's when you get the DPCI # and if you have one of the Target stores with the scanners where you can enter the numbers in you can check that way without having to wait for someone to open the case to get a game out for a price check.
Well how would you get the DCPI# to do all that? I think it would be easier to just have them open the case.
I think me2 is worth it b/c the ceburus network card is $15 alone. you won't get that from blockbuster.

i am thinking about me2, but then i'm thinking a goty edition will come out soon.
