Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in gold are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Same here.

Also, if anyone is looking for just the extras from the Bioshock 2 LE, I have a set of extras with your choice of either PS3 or 360 slipcover. (picked up two from the BB $40 deal back in the summer when I could trade the games into GS for ~$38)
I picked up one Bioshock LE for $48.98. Is there any way to get the $17.48 price by taking it to another Target?
Yes. You just need to hit up another Target and either scan the item or enter it's DPCI number on the scanner. Then comes the hard part, where you can try and ask to do a return and immediately rebuy the game at the lower price or ask for a price adjustment down from the price you paid.

The second one is typically the harder route, but the first one isn't a cakewalk either. Some Target stores will not allow an immediate return/rebuy to occur and will tell you that you must 'wait until the item hits the sales floor after being returned to electronics from the returns desk'.

That may take until the end of a shift, a few minutes or the next day. In that amount of time someone else may come in and grab that item and thus your attempts would be for naught.

That's why I would go to electronics immediately after returning it at the lower priced store and ask the cashier there if you could buy it. Either that or ask for a manager while up at customer service returning it and ask if you could rebuy it because you 'changed your mind'.

So I really don't understand how you go about finding an item on clearance using this program on the first page?? If anyone can explain better, your help is much appreciated. Trying to locate a Bioshock SE for the PS3 here in the Dallas area.

I'd love to find some more of the real deal DP.

I hope to find a Bioshock 2 LE tomorrow or Thursday.

I got the last Bioshock2 LE at my local Target in Memphis,TN. for $17.48. I went to Best Buy the next day, and they still have them for $60.

On another note I saw Target was removing all GH5 and DJHero games off the shelf to make room for GIG, RockBand3 and DJHero2, so I expect GH5 and DJH to get another price drop.

Has a Target ever offered a price adjustment on a clearance item? "Harder" seems like a generous choice of words. I just don't want to see a parade of expletive-laden posts from people who try this and get denied. Target has always been firm about that particular policy in my experience.

Odd, but no new drops here this week. And I even overheard the price adjustment team asking for the key to the game cases so they could do the new markdowns. I returned to that same store just before closing and every single game was exactly the same price. Huh.

Managed to track down a copy of Bioshock Special Edition at target for $17.49, also grabbed a copy for 360 to give to a friend.

Also saw Dark Void for $7.49 but I decided to pass, also Borderlands disappeared from the location I was watching it at.

Just saw one 360 Bioshock 2 LE @ Target in Orchard Park, NY. Question aswell, does the target website keep up on clearance? I'm looking at their online item finder for instore and it says my local ones carry the Beatles Rock Band for 360, on here it says 10$ but on their site it says 30$. Any ideas?

I found a :ps3: GD:RB for 12.48, but I don't have a :ps3: guitar, so I left it there. Ran back over to Best Buy to see if maybe they were dumping controllers, but no dice. Oh well.

Generally prices on a store's website and their B&M aren't always the same when it comes to clearance items. The site will most likely always show the MSRP or current retail price for an item. You would have to check the individual Target store to see what their current price on the clearance item is.

On another note, I am surprised everyone is finding Bioshock LE. The lone copy at my Target disappeared months ago. But I finally bought my first clearance game in a long while, since my Target is a bit slow on updates. Nabbed the only copy I saw of Darkvoid for $7.48. Most of the other games that I looked at, all :ps3:, Boarderlands GOTY, Smackdown v. Raw 2010. Reflex, Beatles Rockband, and Prototype were all still at $20.xx. There was a copy of NGS2, but it was marked at $35.xx and I didn't bother to price check it since I already own the game.

halo t shirt started to clearance today but only 2 shirt left and those are a Small and a Medium ... crap should have bought the large at full price

That's why I chose my words somewhat carefully. But I would really suggest that whoever wants to do a return/rebuy go in first and hope the store has the scanners with the DPCI number pad along the right hand side and check the price there to be sure that it HAS dropped to 75% off there.

Then go out to their car, grab the item and return it. Then decide to 'change their mind'. Although that might come across as suspicious, since the item was just returned for $50-ish and now it's going to ring up $17.48.

Either way good luck to those who try the return/rebuy route or whatever.

Thought I got shut out when all of the Bioshock 2 LEs disappeared from my local store. Luckily I found a couple today at a store I rarely get to. Covers are destroyed from the security device, but everything else looks to be intact! :D

Also picked up some of these halo reach packs of doo-dads and t-shirts. Should make for some funny gag gifts for the holidays!
stupid question - will the upcoming B2G1F deal work on clearanced games???
It should. It has worked in the past.

I saw that Bioshock LE at the store you are talking about. It rang up 49.98 though.

The spider wrap security thing left indentations on the big box the contents were in for the two Bioshock 2 LE's I picked up yesterday. It would suck for a collector but chances are the extras are just going up on my trade list anyway, since I never bother with anything like that(as the mostly still sealed extras from the GTA IV SE attests to:D:whistle2:#).

I want to thank El Hoardo for not going to the Target on Alma School and Queen Creek in Chandler, AZ since the price drop :p. Was there last week, grabbed Assassin Creed GH for 5 bucks, and saw the SE for 45. Decided to go back and both Xbox and PS3 versions dropped
Grabbed the last :ps3: copy, and left the 360 version of another cag.Outside box was kinda roughed up by the spiderwire, per usual, but can't go wrong for 17 bucks.

Bunch of PS3 games, too, but they haven't dropped in price since last week (bayonetta still ringing up at 30, NGS2 at 35, etc...

For whoever go there, enjoy ;)

Also able to get in on the $17.XX Bioshock 2 LE (PS3) - no security device so only the slipcover was damaged. Main box was flawless. Looking forward to the new DLC.

Damnit! I can't get to Target until Saturday evening @ the earliest...here's to hoping that PS3 Bioshock 2 CE is still there. I haven't had time to go check out Target clearance in my area in about 3 weeks.

*starts twitching*

Yea, I'm just happy to pick it up for $17.xx. Putting the spider system on that item doesn't really make sense to me. It is approx 2' x 2' and weights a ton. Who is walking out of a target with that?

As for the price matching and return/rebuy, it is really hit or miss. They are supposed to price protect for 2 weeks after purchase, but it doesn't apply to clearance items. Possibly you will find a CSR who will adjust it for you but it isn't likely. On the return/rebuy, they almost always deny you on that, saying they have to put it back on the shelf before they can re-sell it to you.

Also, for those who hit Target a lot, they have changed their RedCard Credit Card to give you 5% off on all purchases at the register. Not a bad deal for those who frequent Target often for clearance games and the B2G1 deal on all games next week. It is a good way to build up some credit history if you have never had a CC as long as you pay it off each month.

I actually found another bioshock 2 se for 17.98 at another target that was in perfect condition but didn't bother cuz the other one box was goo enough for me with just the cover torn. Good enough for my collection. Still waiting on re5ge to go clearance but it not gonna happen for awhile now cuz of the move>.>

Have you ever asked yourself that question while looking at the vacuums?

I cracked open my :ps3:Bioshock 2 LE this morning just to make sure everything was there that should be and it was the right version, since I know the Targets by me had the PC version for $12.48 a copy a couple of months ago. You never know if someone bought one of those and swapped out the still sealed butterfly box from a PC version for the PS3 one since the butterfly box is identical across all versions with no way to differentiate between them.

But after opening it I found it was the PS3 version, so I'm good to go. Now just to decide if I want any of the extras. I'll probably end up keeping the artbook cuz it's actually a THICK artbook and pretty nice, but I have no use for the rest of the stuff.

I wonder if Strell ever got his BS2 CE bonus items that he's been trying to get for awhile?

I just can't believe they treat those boxes like crap once they hit clearance.

At my Target, they were treated like crap from Day One. Same with ME2 LE and other collectors items. Target, and some employees, don't understand the difference between strangling a flatscreen TV box and strangling a box that nerds like me want to keep pristine. Still, I'm happy to buy it at 17.xx. :D

Actually I think they had the spider wrap around the boxes at both of my Target stores ever since they first got them in. What I find funny is that they got in these CE versions but when people were finding COD: MW2 Hardened Edition for $30 or under a while back my local stores had ZERO(except for the one I returned from a much further away store).

The LE/SE/CE versions of games don't seem to move at Target, which worked out fine for many of us this time.;)

As for Strell, I think I was trying to sell him just the extras from one of the two PC LE's I picked up a while ago(and returned when I couldn't figure out a cheap way to ship them), but we never managed to work out a deal for the items. I couldn't find a decent sized box for nothing to ship the extras in so they wouldn't get smushed en route.:whistle2:#
as for the Target CC.... 5% is NOTHING as my state tax is 5%. ...Now if it was save 10-15% every time you use it then great!
5% on all purchases is better than the nothing you get if you are paying with cash. Also it is taken off at the register so there is no screwing around with figuring out how many points you are earning and subsequently redeem them like you get with most other CCs.

It will also help out during the B2G1 that Target is running next week even if Amazon matches it (which it won't)!

The Bioshock 2 LEs were spider wrapped from day one. Probably one of the reasons why people didn't pick them up at Target. I was surprised to see they were carrying the SW Force Unleashed II and Fable III LEs as well. I'm not sure the CE/LE consumers are going to pick these up at Target, but if they last until they are clearanced for 75% off, then I won't argue! :D

Five percent off is 5 percent off. It doesn't matter if most of it is added back in as tax (not all... since the tax is added after the 5 percent is deducted), it's still a better deal than paying with cash.

Hell, my tax is 9.5 percent and I think this is a great deal--way better than the old setup
five percent off is 5 percent off. It doesn't matter if most of it is added back in as tax (not all... Since the tax is added after the 5 percent is deducted), it's still a better deal than paying with cash.

What they hope is people who use their credit card don't pay their balance all at once or in a short time. I believe Target APR is low 20's...so it doesn't take too long before you are actually paying more than if you paid it in cash.

No new game titles to post.. but today one of the stores I visit that is smaller than most clearanced down to 75% 6 different t-ball/baseball/softball gloves $7, 6 pack of softballs $2.47, softball/t-ball bats $4.97, kids BBall cleats ($?), rubber baseball base sets $2.xx and 3 different Baby Alive Dolls for $11.xx...
I bought most of these for an upcoming charity event to auction ... gloves are very nice but will go fast ...

That's very true about their credit cards.

I just signed up for a Target Check Card. Just bring a blank check and your drivers license to customer service. It's linked to your checking account and you can get 5% and not worry about interest.
