Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in gold are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Picked up the Punch Out pack with a nunchuck for 16.28. I already own the game but needed an extra nunchuck. I guess I can tell my friend that has borrowed the game for over a month now that he can just keep it.

If he picked them up from one of your stores, then you weren't doing a very good job searching. If he picked them up from elsewhere, why didn't you go there to get a copy?

Really... As long as these have been on clearance, if the dude found 5 copies somewhere, then obviously no one there or around there wanted them. So did his purchase hurt you?

Too many criers blaming their lack of deals in the immediate area on hoarders. I know that in my area there was 1 copy. I had no interest, even at 12.48. So I left it for someone else.


I didn't see anything new at my stores. Waiting for 5th grader to drop to $5... One store had 3 copies, but the game showed up as out of system (I think it's still 13.98)... Other store still scanned at 13.98.
 
Typical Guy, I guess it is more a question of, "Do you need a Vision Cam?". I personally don't care about the game, but I need the Vision Cam for some of the achievements in games that I have (FNR4, R6V, to name a couple).
I picked up the game a week ago and have yet to even take it out of the trunk of my car.
 
I think You're in the Movies is a fun, little party-type game with friends. Worth over $5 to me, especially if it comes with the camera.

It was pretty awesome I went to look @ the always horrible selection @ my target and hidden among 30 copies of wii music was a lone

Metroid prime trilogy:)!! I was excited cause it was marked 34.98 and I thought it was a great deal. But when I went and rang out it rang up for 12.48!!! I'm happy

I found 3 copies of PS3 Bayonetta that seemingly came out of no where (actually probably the stock room after the recent inventory).

They were $29.98 each tho. Still about $10 more than what it can currently be purchased @ BB for.

That $34.98 price tag was a good thing after all.
 
Olive Branch, MS target had Bayonetta PS3 for $30. Punchout WII with the entra controller bundle for $45. There were also some random shovelware PC game compilations, some girlie NDS games like "My Boyfriend" and "I'm a Princess" or some such. i didn't check the prices on those, though.

I squirreled away a copy of Bayonetta and I'll pick it up when it drops to $15 or less.

Yeah, I bought that as well along with 5 other blu-rays for the same price. Getting rid of more of my DVD collection each month.

The Legend of El Hoardo and the drawing on he 1st page are classic. The picture just makes it after reading those great lyrics.

I completely forgot all about those two masterpieces.
