Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in gold are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

YMMV? I'd be down for that but haven't seen it on clearance anywhere.
^ All Target clearance is YMMV
I know, but some are obviously more widespread than others. Fallout 3 sounds like an extreme YMMV.
Anyone looking to trade for a Punch-out Deluxe edition hit me up. Looking for Paper Mario.
If you still have Punch-Out in the next few days, I'll be PM'ing you. Going to pick up a copy of Paper Mario sometime soon hopefully.

Bit the bullet and bought Madden PS3 for $14.98 today, as well as a Kindle book-cover case for $14.98. Both will likely drop further (at 50% today) but I wanted to make sure I got them.

I went ahead and bought Bayonetta (PS3) at 14.98. Im retarded because surely this game will be cheaper than this in the next 3 months, I can see it being like 5 bucks at some point... I also had an opportunity to get it for 360 at 14.xx last week, but theres just something about a clearance tag that says 75% off from 59.99 thats more appealing...sometimes I hate being a CAG...

It's usually a no-brainer when the clearance price is significantly less than what you're able to find online. In your case, if there were multiple copies of Bayonetta at the same price in your store, I think holding off would probably be yield the most EV. If there was only a single copy and you were already planning to buy it at the price, I think buying it with the incentive of finding it on clearance before someone else would be the most optimal.

Got the Guitar Hero WT bundle for $30 today as well. (needed a 2nd guitar a drum kit and could use the 2nd mic). The Apple Valley south Target in Minnesota had at least 3 more copies for anyone interested.

Also like 3 copies of are you smarter than a 5th grader for $10 if you feel like there isn't enough Foxworthy in your life.

I picked up Bayonetta for $14.98 and Red Faction Guerilla for $4.98 today at the Olive Branch, MS target. Both for PS3.

The Red Faction game was NOT on clearance. It was the last copy in the plastic prison and it had a regular price sticker (the yellow ones) for 4.98. However, it rang up at 19.99 and the cashier had to call back to electronics and confirm a price override, so YMMV.

Anchorage, AK

Fairytale Fights - 9.98
PES 2010 - 9.98
Darkvoid - 13.98

The woman working in electronics told me that there were no games in the back room is that probably true or is it possible she was just being lazy.

ddak: She could be right, but I'm going for the latter response. Hell our price change team left yesterday's clearance in the back. Those 1GB flash drives did go down to 3.48 as expected, but I was surprised Naughty Bear went down to 24.98. I played the demo at Fry's and it was alright...how bad is this game?

So i head to my nearest target yesterday, mind you this is the only one ive had luck with.My last trip i ended up purchasing 3 copies of Madagascar Kartz for 27.xx. Early xmas presents. When i went to the normal clearance section it was gone.So i head back to electronics figuring the just mixed them in with normal priced games. I ask about where the clearance section went and he showed me a new one. WTF! The new clearance section was filled with psp,ds,wii and a couple xbox and ps3 games. Now most of them where still msrp but im happy because that means eventually all those goodies will be dropping. I saw a BIoshock 2 Collectors Edition for 69.xx and punchout bundles for 32.xx. I have to admit i stashed a couple of the punchout bundles and Bioshock 2.Is that wrong?

BAD!! One of the worst games I've played this year. The download size is only like 750mb or so, that should tell you something. The gameplay is just really bland, and the fact that there is no checkpoint system really blows. if you die, you get to play the same shitty level over again....YAY:bomb:. Seiously guys, wait for this stinker to hit the $10 or below mark before you pick it up.

Naughty Bear was on the clearance rack for 49.98. I thought that was a bit much... They also had Dark Void for 13.98. The same two Bioshock SE have been sitting on the regular shelf for months but the sign says $69.

Unless Target starts paying people to take Naughty Bear, the price will always be a bit much. I won a copy and still feel dirty that I own it.

i am trying to generate an upc for punchout wii w/ controller and am having no luck.Any suggestions? Did Half.com and various others. Thanks!

Ann Arbor, MI.
Guitar Hero:WT complete kit = $30
Uncharted 2 = $15
Resident Evil 5 = $12 (360)

My friend and I may have gotten the last few however, I really couldn't tell.

What?!

Tempted to try at cash register, but my Target NEVER has anything for clearance on games. Everything is behind glass case, and MSRP. No Greatest hits, no nothing under $29.99

No new gaming finds but the 1GB usb sticks showed up at $1.24 each.:hot:

Dane-Elec 1GB usb stick
DPCI# 056-06-0283

They went from a 30% savings last week all the way to 75% off this week.

Couldn't resist and picked up four of them. So, got 4GB's of memory for about 5 bucks.

And if anyone's wondering, I already tried to format it for use on my 360. Performance rating came up "below standard". No biggie to me since I was using to move my profile from one system to another (my current stick is also below standard and haven't had any problems). Now I can free up the 8Gb stick I had been using

I picked up the PS3 Bioshock 2 SE a couple weeks ago at 75% off and was watching for the lone 360 version, still tagged at $69.99, to go on clearance. I decided to punch in the DCPI, 207-22-0456, and it came up $17.48! So now I have my preferred version. I'll have to figure out what to do with the PS3 version.
I have noticed that the west coast is the last to clearance items. The east coast people note a clearance item and about the time it hits 75% off the west coast is starting the 30% off cycle.

I have noted that the Targets around here (Washington State) that they take 4 weeks to drop prices in the cycle. So not only does the Pacific North West drop last is drops super slow. I've seen East coast folks post drops every two weeks.
My stores are even worse. They don't even start the clearance cycle on some of the items that get mentioned here.

Bayonetta PS3 for 14.98 and NBA 10 Inside for PSP for 7.48

I have never seen any of the posted prices work at any Target near me. Often making a fool of myself asking about them. I live in Chandler AZ. Does anyone else get this?
