Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in gold are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Stopped at a local Target to see if I could find the Bioshock 2 SE.Well I found 3 for Xbox 360 and 2 for PS3,but they both rang at $69.99.I also saw Plants vs Zombies for the PC for $9.98.It looked cool, because it had a little zombie figure.I didn't buy it thought.
Saw StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty -- Collector's Edition at my target for $70. They had about 10+. I dont play PC games but thought some people might like. It was the Orange City, FL Target.
So it has BEGUN! Interesting!!! :O

Thanks U for telling us it's spotted. Now, I am just waiting for it to come locally! In fact, I am gonna leave home in a minute to scope it out. :D

No problem, glad I could help. I was gonna buy one so I could sell it on eBay, but didnt bother....

I went to a ghetto ass Target the other day that I don't normally go to. Not much on clearance there. They had 1 copy each of the PS3 & 360 versions of Bioshock 2 collector's edition. They were NCF but still $69.99. They had no shelf tag of any kind. I'll be watching those.
Yeah I also seen the StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty Collector's Edition for $70.
are you waiting for it to drop further? Perhaps I live in a higher traffic area, but the targets all around my area showed 0, cs stated that they are sent back to vendor rather than being clearanced..if I am to believe him. Either way, why wouldn't u buy it then?

Im not a fan of Star Craft I have never played the 1st neither so It didn't interest me.

what area are you if you don't mind me asking? I'm just surprised that with such high demand in certain areas..that others would have 10+ or even have it now

I went looking for it today in Texas and a grand total of one store had a copy according to inventory. And it was full price.

Nothing else of great interest. I visited several stores and clearance was, as usual, virtually nonexistent. A couple of Madden 10's for PSP for $20, a single copy of Naughty Bear(360) for $24, and a single copy of Bayonetta (PS3) for $15. All stores seemed to have a copy or two of My Sims Racing and Sushi Go for DS.

Well clearance wasn't half bad today.

A couple printers
Some Ohm memory card readers
Some PSP games (Assassin's Creed, Army of Two the 40th day off the top of my head)
A bunch of shovelware PC games, except Borderlands
Ghostbusters for PS3

Hopefully my prediction will be right in that there will be more clearance coming out to make room for PS Move this month, Rock Band 3 next month, and Kinect in December.

how much was borderlands?

Borderlands PC came up 19.99, so it'll probably go to 13.98.
Ghostbusters PS3 was 29.99 and it will probably go to 20.98.

Most games clearance follow a 30-50-75 cycle, although I guess Naughty Bear was so bad it was a straight 50% drop.
Still have a sealed copy of Punch-out for Wii wanting Super Paper Mario for Wii.
Which Target is trading copies of Super Paper Mario for copies of Punch-out?

And does Super Paper Mario have to be sealed, or will they accept a used copy?

I think he means he'll trade with a fellow CAGer his Punchout Wii for Super Paper Mario.

yep :D Paper Mario is ~12.xx at some stores.
yep :D Paper Mario is ~12.xx at some stores.
I possibly would have traded you, but my store was sold out by the time I was able to get back there. It showed up as not found on the scanner, so I'm sure it's long gone there.

When you say that, do you mean that Borderlands would likely start out at the $13.98 price?

I saw some new PC games on clearance today:

Bioshock II -- $14.98 (this is for the regular edition)
Dawn of War II -- 20.98
Metro 2033 -- $24.98
Company of Heroes Tales of Valor -- 20.98 (I remember getting this on clearance a year ago, then they stocked it again, and now it's on clearance again.)
Also saw :pc: Star Wars:TFU Ultimate Sith Edition as a temporary price drop at 19.99 (regularly $29.99)

Off topic:
Picked up a bunch of Lean Pockets for 1.02 each (50% off). sadly the older i get, the more i eat like when i was a kid

Just went to my local target in Colorado springs and while they had a large collection of games soon to go on clearance nothing stood out.naughty bear rang up 24.xx.I'm waiting for the punchout bundles to drop.they've been 32.48 for 2 weeks now.I think I'm going to head to smart and pick up on the Other M deal.my smart had 3 copies of the trilogy.

Which one? I was up at the North Powers store this morning, they had a good amount of games, sadly nothing at a decent price though.

I went to a store to check if Naughty Bear went down to 75% and no dice. I did notice that Alpha Protocol was on clearance though for 40.98.

CoH: Tales of Valor and DoW II have already both been in the clearance cycle for PC. I picked CoH ToV up at $7.48 a while back and DoW II at $9.98 :D
Is the Motion+ bundle of Red Steel 2 on clearance or is just the game only?
It was the game only. Motion+ bundle was still 40 dollars.

Went to the Short Pump Target in Richmond, VA and saw the following:

:ps3: Lego Rock Band $13.98
:360: The Orange Box $13.98
:ds: Legend of Zelda The Phantom Hour Glass $24.98

I was absolutely shocked to see The Orange Box as the game is pretty old. Not sure if it ever went PH or not, but it still had the original case. There were also some Madden 10's for PS3 and PS2, but I can't remember the exact price.

There is a ton of new stuff at the various Targets I went to today. Saw, all at mostly 30% off...

Orange Box XBOX
Call of Juarez:BOB PS3
Alpha Protocol PS3
A bunch of PC games, among others. This could be an exciting couple of weeks.

I can't believe my good luck today.

Wolfchase Target in Memphis, TN-- Scored the :pc: StarCraft II Collector's Edition for 49.98. :hot: Only one copy was there, on an electronics endcap. I just about fell over when I saw it, and almost fell over again when I saw the price. I guess they went straight to 50% off and skipped 30% at that Target. Needless to say, it's not there anymore. ;)

I also saw a few other things:

:wii: Punch-Out!! bundle w/Nunchuck- 16.XX (one left on the electronics endcap-- I would have grabbed it but I already own the game and I don't need any more Nunchucks.)
:360: The Orange Box- 13.98
:360: Naughty Bear- 13.98
:360: Fairytale Fights- 13.98
:ps3: Lego Rock Band- 13.98

I would have never considered grabbing StarCraft II before as I've never played the series. This will be a good start, I'm sure. :)

Anyone have a DPCI for SCII? I'm thinking it's probably like the PC Bioshock 2 CE in that it was never given to Targets in NEOH, but you never know.

I should have stopped at Target maybe I could have found Naughty Bear for that price.
CoH: Tales of Valor and DoW II have already both been in the clearance cycle for PC.
I saw both those titles start the clearance cycle at 30% mark, at a few different stores.

I also came across Plants vs Zombies Limited Edition
iconpcwin.gif
for $4.98 (Hooray for zombie figure:)) and the really crazy find of Kane & Lynch 2 dog day
iconpcwin.gif
for $12.48:hot:.

I understand why PvZ hit 75%off as that's a big box and there were about 20 copies, but K&L2 hitting 75%off so shortly after release is just odd.

A first, I thought it was a mistake or a joke (like someone moving price tags around) but it scanned correctly. No override was needed.

That's an awesome find!:applause:

All of my local stores had the L.E. version during release week, but none had it the following week.

So, I'll probably never find it at Target

Man, Naughty Bear and SCII are still retail price at all 5 targets in my area. And I haven't seen a Bioshock 2 CE in months. I actually don't ever recall seeing them at any Targets.
