Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in gold are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Yes, you can return an unopened clearance item as if it were a normal piece of merchandise. I've done it many times. Just keep your receipt!
Dummy question of the day: Can you return unopened clearance items? I'm pretty sure I've seen some of you speak of it before, but I hope you don't fault me for not wanting to wade through 147 pages to find out more. I'm gonna leave my 14.98 DoW2 untouched just in case it hits 7.48 somewhere. I assume it's a YMMV thing but I'd be interested in the responses here, horror stories, etc.
Same here. You can get your full refund back ever when the clearance item has dropped further or is completely out of the system at the time of the return.

I think the only exception is seasonal merchandise such as Halloween costumes, Christmas stuff. You can return these but only at the current price at the time of the return. You are SOL if it is cleared out of the system.

Gaming was fail at my local Targets this week, but the GPS units on clearance may be nice to pick up if they drop to 75% off...

None of he PC stuff went 75% off yet (all stuck at 50). I don't think I saw a single 360 or PS3 game.

Not game related but I just got back from Target. They have inflatable kids pools 75% off finally along with pool accessories like floats and such. They have a bad-mitten/volleyball set made by franklin for 6.24 (75% off) and I managed to find a tinker bell trike that plays music, lights up, etc for 75% off (it came to 11 or 12 bucks). It's time to stock up for next summer if you've got the storage room.

Found a lone Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 (PS3) marked $34.98. Scanned it and it came up item not found. At the register the lady asked me if I knew how much it was. I said I didn't know but I've bought clearance games for $7.48 before. So she just typed that amount in. How very nice of her.

Yeah, I've seen restrictions on returning seasonal items as well.

Also worth nothing that you cannot get a price correction on a clearance item. It's not like a sale price guarantee, where you can bring in your receipt and get the difference back. Just FYI.

Lots of PC games on clearance at my local Target, but no drops since I checked them out last Monday 9/6. Hopefully this coming Monday they will drop again.

Horrible nothing worth picking up at my target 2 dark void for ps3 for 29.99 and a bunch of madden 10 for wii.

You should just come out and ask, as it should be put in the OP if it's not. Holding onto a clearance item unopened to return and rebuy at a lower price is extremely YMMV! I have done it before no prob but some people have lost stuff altogether. At least I think you're asking if you can return and rebuy at the lower price.

Then there is this, so you can try and return your game get your 14.98 back, they put it on the shelf and someone else picks it up when they place it back on the shelf when they do go backs. But the question has been answered yes if the clearance price drops you get back what you paid for since it goes by receipt not item.

Not getting on your case dude, just ask what you want dont beat around the bush.
I saw a bunch of copies of 360 camera live vision for $10.

Should I wait till it drop to $5?
You can find it cheaper than that at a lot of places in the You're in the Movies game bundle. That is, if you can still find that. It's pretty much a dead accessory though, with not much support going forward because of the Kinect. I grabbed one though for a few odd games like Rainbox Six where you can put your face on your character and get an achievement for it too. To me, personally, it's not really worth the $10 anymore, unless you really want it and are scared it's gonna be gone before another drop.

My friend actually found me a copy of StarCraft 2 Collectors Edition for $49.98 on clearance a couple days ago at the Downey, CA store. I'm very lucky to get StarCraft 2 at this price!

Yea 5 bucks for a camera and a mediocre game..(although your gf/wife might get a kick out of seeing you do all that stupid shit on tv).

The camera that comes with it , well the one that came with my bundle had dead/stuck pixels from the very start :( I've gone thru atleast 5-6 cameras and all of them have that problem.

Thats another thing I am worried about with the camera on the Kinex. Dead pixels/stuck pixels on the thing. :(
Another DSE fan, right on!:D
Hell yes.

If DSE originally had a simultaneous platform release, as opposed to Wii only, it would have been heralded as the evolution of the light gun genre, would have received 8s and 9s across all the reviews on MetaCritic, and made EA a ton of money.

As a Wii only release, it unjustly became the red-headed step child of HD console fanboys everywhere, who criticized it without even playing it.

I'm hoping it receives a digital download release on the PS3 and 360 after its PS3 exclusivity ends. If its priced right for digital content, it will make EA a ton of money.

We'll see if there is a clearance spike following the release of PS Move in the following weeks, at least that's what I predict.

damn you..i mean congrats:applause:..sigh I should've checked the CA stores while I was there last week. DC/MD/nova clear out...and considering people paid 10more for just the game itself that's such an awesome deal. I should probably spend more time getting better at the game lol, need to get out of gold.

About that SC2 CE:

If I had a mutant power, it'd be to find good clearance deals. It's one thing to find copies of Metroid Prime Trilogy. It's another to find things that are outrageously good and infrequent. CRRROMMM!!!! (performs meditative barbarian sword kata)

No kidding. I posted in here a few times about MPT, I wanted that game so badly, and luckily I found two copies. I would trade both those copies for the chance to find SCII CE at $50. Even at $75 I would trade at least one of those copies.

SCII is a great game and that comes with a full copy of SC and Brood War as well. The CE is a very nice set that I considered strongly at $100, at $50 it's a no brainer. Especially since the game still costs $60 and likely will for a long time.

Is the SC2 CE clearanced at all Targets. I found one today but it was still tagged $99.99
Does this mean that the clearance cycle will start later at this store.

Wow, you guys are pretty lucky to snag the SC2 CE :pc: on clearance.:applause: I've gone to 10+ Targets in 3 different states and I have not even seen one since the day it came out.

Don't you think at a certain point you've spent more in gas and time trying to save that $50? I'm all for saving a buck, but when I have to go to multiple stores because it's "clearance" but easily available elsewhere, I'll pass.

well, one semi-electronics related pickup today was a swiss gear bag for $9.98 (75% off) that's perfect to hold my laptop and camera. :D

And on a non-electronics related note, I picked up 20 70 page college ruled notebooks for $.64 after tax. :D

I know I myself have been to about 6 targets in the last week. I live in a metro area and just take different routes home and can hit multiple targets each day. It's totally worth it and I probably spend no more than an extra 2 or 3 bucks each week in gas. Haven't found Starcraft but I found plenty of other stuff!

And isn't it "easily available" for like 130 bucks elsewhere?

Seeing as how my classes start tomorrow, I should check out the clearance I saw being put up on Back to School stuff (gotta make room for Halloween!). That could save me some cash.

You're a little late. Back to School section has been ravaged for almost a month now at this point.

One thing people should keep an eye out for, if they're interested, is the Garden Section - Target is closing all of the remaining Garden Centers nationwide at the end of September. Lots of decorative statutes there have been 30% off for a month or two now, but I assume they'll have to start marking down plants and other things within the final few weeks if they haven't already.
How do you guys spot non-electronics clearance? I'm going to do a major trip to my local target and try and check out everything.
Inside endcaps man, inside endcaps. That, and you need to develop good peripheral vision for red stickers as you move through the aisles.

Its a lot like hunting snipes. "Here snipey, snipe. Here boy. C'mon out snipe."

I'm not sure what that means, but I'll assume you're referring to the quantity I wanted to buy.
The MSRP for the product was $85, and was going well over $110 on eBay at the time.
I recently sold my last copies (2) for $100 each + shipping... auction was up for under 3 hours. Shouldn't have posted buy it now!
Free money? Yea, please.

200(100 - 25) = 15000.

Don't worry about it, dude. Haters gonna hate.

Some people think buying all the clearance items at a store is positively un-American. You're supposed to buy one game and alert the rest of us so we can rush to the store before the fat wallet people show up. That's how it's supposed to work but it never does and it never will. There's a reason why these games go to clearance and sit there unbought.
