Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in gold are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Came from target today which amazingly had a fully stocked clearance end cap today, granted it was mostly shovelware. More notable things I saw included:

:psp: Madden 2010 7.xx
:pc:Bioshock 9.xx
:pc:Prototype 7.xx
:pc:Borderlands 4.xx (picked up the last copy :bouncy:)
:pc:Red Faction 7.xx
:pc:Metro 2033 (Saw it last minute and didn't have time to run a scan)*
:ps3:Lego Rockband 13.xx *
:360:Orange box 13.xx*

*These titles were found in a totally different island type display. I only noticed them due to the red stickers.

I almost decided not to get Borderlands since my laptop fails to run games well at all but it surprisingly ran very well when I played it today.

Hmm, my store had Burnout Paradise but it was in the normal area (as some clearance games are) and had no price tag, nor anything below it to indicate price. I wouldn't mind picking that up for $14.

At the endcap clearance (mine usually puts them in the normal area first, then when they are discounted lower move them to a special electronics clearance endcap...although even that's sketchy as some games seem to go right there while other stay in the normal area) there was

Orange Box
Dead Rising
Wild Things
PoP
all XBox, all for 13.xx
DAMN, this is a huge thread !! over 3000 post. When does a new one have to start ?
usually after 200-300 pages.

Got Red Faction Guerilla (PC $5) and Dawn of War 2 ($15) for $20 yesterday. The only perk of my job is seeing whats on clearance first.

Was at a Target (Shoreview, MN) yesterday and picked up the very last copy of Borderlands for the PC ($4.95)! Also, saw one last copy of Prototype PC for $7.xx and two copies of Stalker: COP Collector's Edition for $14.95. Was not much else there worth purchasing aside from what has already been mentioned (Bioshock 1 & 2, Alpha Protocol, etc).

Just thought I'd mention it for ppl in the area in case they were interested.

PC:
Bioshock 2 - $14.98
Red Faction Guerrilla - $9.98
Prototype - $14.98

PS3
Infamous - $13.xx

I only grabbed Infamous. It's pretty cool so far. :D
For the ps3 games, do you guys find them in the clearance section or are they still in those plastic prisons?
Both. I've found they tend to start on clearance in the cases, then migrate to end caps after a couple weeks. One store puts them on the shelf below the cases.

Ditto.

However my closest store started to put clearance console games in these plastic racks on the sides (not on) the end caps. I almost didn't find any clearance games there the other day until happened to see them there somewhat hidden out of plain view until I rounded the corner of the aisle.

Gonna scout out for some PC game drops tomorrow or tuesday.

alway check the women underwear section .. i alway find at least one clearance item there. last one i found was call of juarez for 4.98 but i have that game already . it was hanging out of a bra

My store has become a bit schizo. Clearance has been on the endcaps, with only a few games inside the plastic prisons (usually just after they first drop). They took all the clearance from the plastic prisons and put them on the endcap. And now all clearance games have been moved back into the plastic prisons. Hopefully stuff will still last until final drops, but it seems more doubtful.
Not much seen in Gainsville, VA. Just a few copies of Lego Rock Band $13.98. (PS3)
I don't know how far Gainesville is from Newport News but I'm out here on vacation from Colorado and the Target on Jefferson had Orange box for 13.Xx,Call of Juarez for 12, Zelda for 18,some crappy Wii games,Borderlands for Pc at 4.98, Dead Rising GH for 13 along w/ Burnout Paradise. My local Target clearances on Monday so once I get home I'm heading to see what's up.Hope it helps.
MX v. ATV Reflex for PS3 is 13.98 as of 9/25/10
Same

Also:

Alpha Protocol (PS3) 41.98
Dark Void (PS3) 19.98 (if I can catch a copy of this for 75% off or more I will bite)

just checked google maps...
there is a target very far from a train station which i can easily get to.

i thought there was not a single target around me...or accessible at least

:O!

now i have to check it and see some deals

finally found some clearance ps3 games at a so cal target, call of motherfreakin juarez like 18 copies lol

will they ring up dark void for $20? cause the ones in so cal, dark void is still 30

I saw most of the games you guys have been reporting. Also saw Burnout Paradise (360) $13.98. Metro 2033 for the PC was $12.98. Phantom Hourglass (all 20 of them) dropped down to $17.98...almost to a point I'll buy it at.

Clearance today sucked. All I got was DS shovelware, so hopefully there will be more stuff to ticket on the floor. A lot of books went on clearance today for some odd reason, but I had to go to lunch.

I apologize if it's a repost, but I found this at Target this past Saturday:

:ps3: Star Wars: The Force Unleashed - $13.98

Would clearance prices be automatically updated in the system on a certain day, or is this something done at no particular time of day at the discretion of employees? I'm thinking getting up at 7:30 just to fly to Target is not worth the trouble. On a related note, I am going to finish my sleep now.

There is a suggested daily schedule for markdowns (different departments each day), but it is up to the manager if they want to follow that.

And someone may correct me, but I believe the markdowns are not automatic. Someone with a gun has to physically tag at least one of each item for the new price to take effect. At least that's been my experience.

grabbed 2 copies of Super Street Fighter 4 at Target for $4.98

YMMV of course because as been said Target miles of each other in your same town may not have the same prices.

This was the Miami Target by the way.

Here is the Target inventory look up

http://sites.target.com/site/en/spot/mobile.jsp?title=fiats&asin=B002IB6BNY&dpci=072-07-0353&desc=

and the DPCI

http://www.target.com/Super-Street-...om_size-bin,target_com_brand-bin&frombrowse=0

The PS3 version should also be the same but they were all taken.

No stock near me for super street fighter, but wow $5 and that game just recently came out.

If only there was one near me with it in stock I would check. My local target didn't have anything(naughty bear still $49.99... starting to think they'll never drop it).

Did notice the i-flip is now $175 on clearance though. Don't recall seeing it on clearance before.

I went to a local Target this weekend. There was a lot of Wii shovelware. There was some early clearance games in the plastic prisons, but none of the titles stood out to me and were all still $30+.

There were quite a few PS3 Lego Rock Bands for 19.98. I bought the only copy of PS3 Ghostbusters that was at $7.48.
Thats MSRP for LEGO Rock Band
Sorry, didn't realize that. I admit I would not know how much the music games prices were since I have no interest at all. I just saw it in the clearance section with the red sticker.

Most of the prices I saw today were the same. Clone wars dropped to $9.98 (Is this game even worth that price? I have a nephew who would probably play it too, but if it really sucks he doesn't have the patience for it unless it's Spider Man related haha) Avatar was down to $14.98 but they had a ton of copies of both so no sense of urgency there. Alpha Protocol was down to $30 ish, hoping it last to the $14.98 range myself. Other than that more of the same.

I did see Prototype for the PS3 on clearance, can't remember what the price was but I hadn't seen that before.

Every store also had a few Guitar Hero guitars for $62.xx. heh, no thanks.

Went to my Target today and they had some games on clearance.

Assassins Creed Bloodlines PSP - $5
Metro 2033 - $13
Bioshock 2 - $15
Alpha Protocol - $35

There were some more, but most were kid games. This Target was around the Fairmont place near Pasadena, Texas.

Clearance thread, man.

Although, Metro 2033 looks pretty good.

REALLY?

Did you really not see the Target Clearance thread the entire time you've been on CAG?

While I appreciate the fact that you tried, this clearly belongs in the Clearance thread.
