Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in gold are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.
Those Haier portable LCD's were too good to pass up, the one Target I visited had the last two Haier 10.3 inch portable LCD TV's, 75% off at $44.98 clearanced from $179.99. You can't go wrong since these are recharageable, two different stands, pack-in antenna, A/V cable, and have a car A/C adapter, remote with batteries included. I figure one will come in handy for a power outage during a "Nor'easter" storm.

I'm curious to see what kind of reception I'll get during a power outage when I plug it into the cable TV outlet. I realize that when the power goes out, the cable TV goes out, but i hope I can pick up at least a couple channels using a cable TV outlet like I did before with our other older TV during a power outage. If not, I'd be interested to see what I could pick up with another stronger antenna. I was impressed this TV even picked up a weather radio broadcast when I hooked it up to actual cable.

I have to admit, I was disapointed with the reception of the three channels I only got in my area, perched on the window, with the regular pack-in antenna extended.

Nevertheless, two good little TV's to have. Interesting sidenote, when I visted another Target TV initially looking for the 7 inch models, I was told some Filipino guy came in and spent nearly $2500 on the forty or fifty they had in stock - cleared them out since he thought they were the best thing ever - claimed he got them as gifts for his family...........yeah right.
That dude is going to be pissed when Target drops those 7" tvs to $16 LOL
Stopped by my local Target today (Homewood, IL) and they had an assload of stuff on an endcap as well as in the plastic prisons. What I can remember:

Bioshock 2 (PC) - $7.48
Prototype (PC) - $7.48
Where the Wild Things Are (360) - $4.98
The Orange Box (360) - $4.98 (I already own this and almost bought it out of principal. Seriously people!)

There was a bunch more, but I can't recall off the top of my head. They had a buncha Halo: Reach packs that had dog-tags and some other crap in them.
The Orange Box (360) only dropped to $9.98 on Monday at my local store. Now, I can return the copy I paid $13.98 for a few weeks ago since it's unopened.

BTW, I have really enjoyed playing it. At first, I thought The Orange Box was a game about Nikki "Snooki" Polizzi's privates, but this is much, much better.

i just check ebay and those 7" tv are only going for about $45 plus shipping . after paypal and ebay fees that wont leave you with much .. $1 profit woohoo
32 should be as low as it goes as most stores don't go below 75% off.
With as many of these as are sitting on the shelves at 75% off, don't be surprised if they drop them to 90% off just to clear them. MOST stores have 30 to 40 units just sitting on the shelf collecting dust.

Picked up :360: Burnout: Paradise GH - $4.98 today.
I was talking to an employee once and they told me that if a clearance item doesn't sale, they just throw it away.
haha because of you there will be cag's across the nation dumpster diving behind their local target.

They either trash it or dump it at Goodwill as a write-off.

Seen multiple brand new items tagged with the red target clearance stickers at Goodwill. There is only one logical explanation.
Saw them today at the 32.xx price and passed. This would have been cool, if it was 1990. If only they had a built in battery and some memory (for downloads)

Saw one copy of each at two different stores, but they had them priced at 48.xx:bomb:

What he said!

Also found what I think is a new clearance item, Silent Hill: Shattered Memories
iconwii.gif
@ 19.99(50% drop). Picked it up as there were only two copies and I've really wanted to play it (came out at a time when there were too many other games). It'll be interesting to see how this compares to Alan Wake, seeing as there's no real combat, from what I remember.

Silent Hill: Shattered Memories
DPCI# 207 26 0497
Good luck finding it as it doesn't seem to be in stock at all stores

Only other find was Red Faction: Guerrilla
iconpcwin.gif
at 4.98, but I think others have mentioned it before. The box had a sticker which mentioned something about a BONUS prequel. Did it include the old RF games?
Jeez $19.99 for Silent Hill wish it was that much at my Target. It was $27.98 at mine and I picked it up since they only had two and I haven't seen it for below $40 at a store. I'll keep an eye on the last one and if it drops ill return it with my old receipt.
I posted about that Memorex Blu-Ray player last week. I looked at the Amazon reviews and got a good laugh. Worst reviewed product I've ever seen!!

The Haier 7" tv, I saw two entire endcaps full of them today at one store for $32.xx. Does anyone know what the screen resolution is? The Target product website below claims it is 720p, but I find that hard to believe for the size. The Haier website doesn't list it. Can anyone verify?

http://www.target.com/Haier-Portable-Digital-LCD-TV/dp/B001E78UQY

Finally, I saw the GH5 guitar bundle holding steady at $62.xx at two different stores today. I'd love to score one at 75% off, but not holding my breath.
The resolution on the 10" is 800(RGB)*480. Has anyone else tried out this tv? I was able to pick up 4 channels (NBC, ABC, etc) and the picture quality was surprisingly good. Definitely worth the money if you ask me.
haha because of you there will be cag's across the nation dumpster diving behind their local target.
Good luck with that, as we don't have a dumpster, but a compactor.

I think electronics actually get sent back to the manufacturer, it's usually the clothing that we donate. Food gets tossed.

I have a new Goodwill store in my area, and I can definitely tell you that they source a lot of their stuff from Target. I've noticed clearance stuff drying up more lately/not catching as much stuff at 75%, and I think this has a lot to do with it. They get everything from housewares to toys to clothes and small electronics from the local Target. Also, within the last month, they seem to be getting a lot of stuff from the local Wally World's, as well, but it is generally in much shittier condition (returns, damaged goods, etc...).

I haven't been able to find anything good at the Targets around me lately.
Stuff they had today:
iconxbox360.gif
Scene it? Bright Lights Big Screen (game only)- 13.98
iconxbox360.gif
The Orange Box - 9.98
iconxbox360.gif
iconps3.gif
Bioshock 2 collectors edition - 49

Looks like the Target around here is behind on price drops based on what others are posting.

Almost bought one of the 7" TV's but then I realised it had SD only inputs...

Also noticed my local store expanded their blu ray section, It used to be half of a small isle, now its both sides of the isle with a separate half of an isle for box sets.
Almost bought one of the 7" TV's but then I realised it had SD only inputs...
Yeah, that's why I didn't pick one up. I don't even know how it can go up to 720p with only SD inputs!!! :applause:

Hopefully, you don't believe this.
Hopefully, you don't believe this.
What's not to believe? It's accurate. For most items that don't expire, the items are either donated or made available to a charity at pennies on the dollar. For many items which have an expiration date, they just get thrown away and written off as a loss.

Went hoping for Ghostbusters and Orange Box, which is exactly why they didn't have either. They had a pile of $13 Brutal Legends and two or three copies of $13 PH Left 4 Dead, one $20 HAWX and that was it. Plus some little girl wasn't paying attention and ran full-speed into me. Insert your own punchline here.

I keep thinking about possible reasons to buy that stupid little tv. The best use for me would be to not use it as a portable set, but rather to hook it up to my satellite tuner and use it like a PIP function

The sat tuner is able to spit out an HD and SD signal simultaneously. So I could be gaming on the big set while I put this mini set on a ballgame.

This may be the only reason I'd buy it, though I'm still not sure I want to bother.

that is some ghetto PIP! Reminds me of the cell phone headset pic (duct tape) going around many years ago.

I suggest you don't bother.

I saw :ps3:Darksiders for $19.xx

Someone bought all the :ps3::360:Alpha Protocol and :ps3:Dante's Inferno at $30+ lol. The rest was sports and wrestling junk, not even any Wii shovelware

Never said it was going to look pretty:lol:

And what you got against duct tape;)

What day of the week do they usually mark down the prices?
I'm watching the Green Day Rock Band on PS3 at my local target. Currently at $24.98.

They still have the 7" TVs for $62 at my Target...they were even still keeping them in the glass case with the cameras and stuff. They had a ton though, at least 15 or 20. I couldn't find the 10" ones anywhere so not sure if they were snatched up or what.

Even at the $32 or whatever I'm having trouble justifying it. At Toys R Us they had a portable DVD player around 6" for $45 after the % off the clearance price...

Got the last copy of Super Street Fighter IV for $19.99 but being the "display copy" (still sealed) in Target's new game setup leaves two round grooves dented in the lower back portion of the case. Just like with Target's super-tight cases for Blu-ray movies that damage slipcovers, I'm just annoyed by their protective cases that actually damage the goods. The OCD in me might have me traveling to a different store to see if I can get a better condition copy.

Also scored these games on a trip to a 2nd store:
Dark Void (PS3) $7.49 (might have to return this one after checking out the reviews)
Lego Rock Band (PS3) $4.99
Call of Juarez:Bound by Blood (PS3) $4.99
Hopefully, you don't believe this.
Depending on what it is, that true. But we don't do that to video games obviously. Those get salvaged out or sent back to the manufacturer via the Target Central Distribution system. And yes, I work at Target.

Swung by one of my Targets today, they had an assload of games! None I'm interested in, but: :360: Alpha Protocol, Where/Wild Things, :ps3: Dark Void, Infamous, SSF4, Prototype, etc., a bunch of Budget PC games...

I wish they had a copy of darksiders, I probably would've bit, but I DID get a Western Digital Elements 320gb portable HDD for 34.98! (normally 69.99) Perfect for plugging into my ps3 to watch downloaded .avi and .mp4 videos.

They also had a Sony Reader Pocket Edition for like $40something? And a bunch of cell phone cases. No small tvs to speak of.

@confoosious goddamn that made me laugh...
sorry, it was a rubber band. :D
I never knew that rubber bands are space age materials.
True! OTA digital is kind of nice!
OTA is actually the best signal quality. Satellite and cable providers have to compress. Whether you can actually tell or not is another thing unless your tv provider jacks things up.

The bioshock 2 360 special edition dpci is 207220456. I saw it on the electronics flat with a clearance sticker on it for 48.98 tonight while I was doing autofills.

Do you work dayside or overnight? If you can tell by my previous posts, I work in the day, but I usually close since I go to school full time.

I also saw what appears to be the last holdout Bioshock 2 LE :ps3: version stickered at 48.98 right now. My feeling is it won't last until even 50% at that store, but we'll see.

The 10" tv are much harder to find. I've only seen max 2-4 units at Target even before they dropped to 75% off.
Is Dark Void worth $4.98? :bouncy:
I bought it at that price...

and no, it's not. It would have been a forgettable game if it came out during ps2/xbox/gamecube era.
