Your defense was giving me fits until I got that fourth down conversion. Then ol' "QB Chiefs" got the hot hand.

I actually didn't get worked up at all. Perhaps I missed the boat on 'joking with everyone else' as I've been busy working my ass off, but I knew you and everyone else was joking around. I was also giving you shit for failing to being anything close to funny, hence the #-o.

Eh, his death isn't funny, however there are people dying of things like cancer and rape; Dale Sr. died by driving an overpowered car into a wall while refusing to utilize a device that could have saved his life. Meanwhile, the NASCAR hillbillies to this date still go out every Sunday and wave those large #3 flags and shed a tear while re-adjusting their overalls.

So in essence, I thought the image being done using the NASCAR font and logo was HILARIOUS and felt it was avatar-worthy.

We seriously need a :brohug: smiley. (but not really)

Just a note for those wanting to do the single player "competitive" seasons. If you quit a game in progress for any reason, you will get a 6-0 forfeit loss to your AI opponent and not accumulate any stats for that game.
 
Found out last night, that my internet here should be up until the 14th (and could go off anywhere between 4am - 7pm) and supposedly, our new isp will be sending us a package on the day we move, the 15th (although I don't expect to be up and running until the 17th).

JStryke- I'm not sure how today's going to go. I've been up all night again. But I will be staying up till at least 5 Eastern for my Madden game that is scheduled then. If you want to play before then, we can. If not... maybe after. It really depends on how tired I am.

San Fran is a great team, but their playbook sucks ass so I agree with you 100%

after this Mets game wraps up (EXTRA INNINGS AGAIN), I'm down for some league games. I think I'm playing JStryke first, but i'm open after that.

I'm ready whenever you are. Just playing a practice game (against the wrong LA team most likely, but oh well. :razz: ).

Also, am I allowed to be dissappointed Phillips didn't get the game winning hit?
 
24-7 Raiders beat the Fins at Miami. Week 5.

Close game throughout then he got super unlucky on 2 fumbles. 2 INTs didn't help matters as he tried to get back into it either. Touchdown Tim Brown had 100something yards.

EDIT: AND, I won my first 2D game! I'm finally getting used to it a bit. The kicking has been the biggest adjustment honestly.

Week 5 - Raiders over Dolphins, 24-7. Really close first half, but my team fell apart in the 3rd quarter. Plus, out of my own stupidity, I tried running a kick back. I think I was too used to Madden where you can end up on the 20 yard line more or less, even with a failed return.
 
Midread that somehow. But yeah, that'll work too. Possible dad might prepare dinner (and he does it at random times) but barring that, it'd be good. Probably go ahead and get some beta time in while I wait.

Bengals: Do you know how to take a knee in the endzone? I feel like you were trying to a couple times and it didn't work for you. You ended up with some tough field position a lot of the time. GG though. Touchdown Brown was at it again.

I'm becoming more mixed in my 3D vs 2D opinion. The passing game and the tackling is a lot easier for me in 3D. Switching from your WRs is a bit more fluid, but running almost feels sluggish compared to 2D. You can really hit the holes and dance around a bit in 2D. Right now I'd still prefer it for my homefield advantage, if only because some of you have been playing the original for forever are less used to it, but it's winning me over.
 
I, so far, haven't figured out how you even set 2D in an online game. Though it occurs to me what the answer is. Do you set 2D while the team selection screen is up? I was always setting 2D after the game started in single player games, but that doesn't work in online. I've wanted to play in 2D, but so far only started 3D games.

Incidentally, when in 3D, if you change the perspective, does the other player see the perspective change too? I not infrequently hit that bumper accidentally and I was worried I might be messing up my opponent in doing so.

In online play you can't switch back and forth. The way to go into an online game in 2D, you need to change your settings on the main menu before you start the game. I think that's the only way to change it. Once your default is set to 2D then the online games you host will be in 2D.

Yeah I didn't know how. Good game though. I think it was in the 3rd quarter and I was running a flea flicker, my QB was on the ground before the ball was tossed back to him. That sucked.
 
Obviously, it won't be a league game, but I'd like to play you if you can start in the next couple minutes. I'm pretty sure I'm playing Miami, but he's in a game with Buffalo that just started.

Cuta hosts and opts for the 2D. I have slight lag, but not enough to take me out of competition. Defensive oriented game, no scoring until the 4th quarter. cuta hits the go ahead field go with about half a minute on the clock, not enough time for me to answer. 10-7 Minnesota Win.

Week 13:

Vikings @ Bears
cuta @ Stabby Pete

I host the game in 3D. Not sure if cuta had bad lag or adjustment to 3D, but the final score ends up 23-0 Bears. Lots more turnovers on both sides. I seemed to have more time offensively this game, cuta was in my face the entire previous match.
