Target clearance is YMMV
Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction. Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 70% or 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, DCPI # and online item # in RED!!!​

DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. ​

DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI #'s or Online Item #'s that are not already in the OP-- thanks! ​

This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.​

If you are having trouble with the above search here are more detailed directions:​
Take the DPCI #s and search on target.com for an exact match and then use the store locator there. If there isn't an exact match, try googling Target and the DPCI #. For instance, on the 500 gb Seagate hard drive, it doesn't show up on the site. Google shows the online # as 13730271. Then, you can plug the online # in http://m.target.com/fiats/t- and put the online number after the - so the link would be: http://m.target.com/fiats/t-13730271. Hit enter, plug in your zip and it should work.​

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing in-store as often price tags will not be correct:​

1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts. ​

Numbers in purple are DPCI #'s, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.​

Picked up a copy of Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary for $14.98 as a gift for a friend. Was a lone copy amongst a litter of NHL 12, so I'm not sure if this is an isolated markdown or not.

Hope next week's clearance is better than the last 2 weeks... Nothing but shitty 360 games and Wii shovelware

The monday after BF used to be awesome for clearance games. This year not so much. The weeks after christmas is when I usually make a really good haul

Only thing I grabbed this week was a HDMI cord for 3 bucks, not a bad deal but I wanted games dammit!!!
 
Are most of you guys finding at least some copies of Metal Gear Solid HD Collection? I know Target is very YMMV, but I want to know if I have a slim chance of snagging one before I make the drive.

Out of the four Targets I visit most freqently, all of them have had at least one copy. Use the stock checker, Luke.

I went to 3 local stores yesterday (hoping to score a Vita Playstation All-Stars), one had a single copy of Metal Gear. Found multiple copies of Street Fighter X Tekken, Rayman Origins, and Michael Jackson Experience though.

At my store, I only saw two for $11.98. Shelf was mainly full of Medal of Honors and Sony move Sports game.
 
Hmm, if I can find MGSHD for PS3 for this cheap, I may skip on the Vita version. Or who knows, maybe I end up getting them both before too long. Transfarring ftw? :bouncy:

Over the weekend I picked up a few games for alternative platforms just so I could have them in case I knew someone I could play multiplayer online with, so when games are cheap it's definitely worth getting the same games twice. Of course when it's a single player game or a game that doesn't have multiplayer I care for it's not really worth it. I wish I wasn't shooting TV stuff so early in the morning I would be heading to target first, maybe I'll get done before Target opens so I'll go check to see if they have MGS still (last I know they only had 1 360 copy left for 29 dollars).
 
Picked up MGS HD for $12 today, and also found Breaking Bad S1 ($5.26) and S2 ($3.56). I've seen Breaking Bad at two different stores now, and one had 4 copies of S1, so I'm not sure if they just ship online overstock to their stores for clearance?
 
Transformer is $11.98, Michael Jackson $5.98, and Sport Champions $8.98 at the Targets in Buffalo. Start the Party was $5.98 I think, but not sure on that one.

This time of the year is even more YMMV than usual since each individual store is clearing random stuff out of the back that should have been brought out a long time ago. Hope it continues!

Could be online orders that were returned in-store.

Still hoping for MGS to hit clearance here, no sign of it yet.
 
man if I could find MGS for 11.98 I would snag that up. only found it for 27.

and halo for 15? that is nice.

Rayman for 5.98 at certain targets around Pittsburgh. Pick it up people!
 
Also saw MGS:HD for 360 for 11.98, gonna check the other 2 stores in my area tomorrow, would love to find the PS3 version, especially since I just recently got the Vita version for cheap.

Where did you find clearance video? is it hidden in the video section or usually in the same endcap as clearance games and stuff?

I picked up the last MoH when it was 9.98, but the shelf at the store i frequently check was full of Bayblade for the DS and FIFA 12 3ds.

anyway, what are the chances of switching tenders to try to get the cheaper price of MoH by $5 and EA2 by $8? sending $13 to another credit card or possibly getting a gift card and doing that?

Also i took apart the cod battle pack and was wondering the chance of taking a controller back and saying i got it as a gift to get a different color? since they're all the same price now that BF is over, my brother wants the pixel camo one, i wouldn't mind the red or blue, or if there is still transparent red...or even taking it to gamestop trying to get any possible gold ones? it's an even trade in my eyes, i just hate having all of the same colors.

You could take it to Walmart and try an exchange, but no receipt = no return (or in this case, no exchange) anywhere else.

there were like 2 copies for the past few weeks at mine.. but they were $38.. That store is terrible. They still have their copies of two worlds II for $37 o_O wtf?
 
I spied two Wii Call of Duty Modern Warfare Reflex Editions for $20.98 in Short Pump/Richmond VA.

If you haven't played it, its a damn fine game, and well tuned for the Wii--and it won't burn out your disc drive like Wii Black Ops was known to do (no RAM meant constant data streaming from the disc).
 
I got one for $24, but I would have wanted another for the cheap controller. Still, I'm glad I got one. It was kind of funny to see people grabbing up the copies of Black Ops and controllers separately on BF for $50 total, I got it for less than half that.

I saw the MGS Collection in the clearance section with tons of other stuff since the Monday before Black Friday back when I got the Sports Champions move bundles for 30 each and Sorcery for 8 or 9. I didn't take MGS collection since I never played any of them before and heard it is weird/bad/stupid with too long cut scenes from my buddy.

Don't listen to your buddy...MGS is a classic game man! But it all comes down to your taste in games. Yes, there are long cut scenes but the storyline is pretty awesome!

Also I don't enjoy tedious stealth games that frustrate me if not done perfectly and result in me doing the same stuff 50 times until I give up and get rid of the game. Maybe I'm off base but from what I heard if this game, it sounds like that.

Why? Because I don't like stealth games? What I described is literally what I've done with games. The one that comes to mind first is alpha protocol. I quit and sold that POS after I couldn't figure out how to stealth through the fist level after the tutorial. Deus Ex HR pissed me off a lot but I liked it enough that I stopped trying to replay levels and stealth through them and just shot the shit out of everything.

You don't have to play MGS pure stealthy either. There are other ways to play. Deus Ex played a lot like a futuristic MGS. It's a little tougher on MGS to run and gun, but you don't have to be perfectly stealthly to get by. I know what you mean about it though, but MGS is my favorite series. I hate Hitman for how perfectly stealthy you have to be. If you've played Splinter Cell, MGS is the same type of playing. It blends techniques nicely. Just the MGS series has a stellar storyline.

Hitman - that's a good example. You don't have to do things a certain way but they certainly want you to. I haven't played Dishonored but that strikes me as a similar thing, you can kill everyone and that's not the "wrong" way to do things...except it is. It may be a little OCD but not playing these games "correctly" really annoys me.
