Previous threads:

Target clearance is YMMV
Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction. Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 70% or 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, DCPI # and online item # in RED!!!

For example:

:ps3:
$4.98
123-45-6789 Random Game Name #12345678

DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself.

DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI #'s or Online Item #'s that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

New link to search for items using Target's online item #:

You can also take the DPCI # and search on Target.com for an exact match and then use the store locator there.

(HUGE PROPS TO mitch079 FOR GETTING US THIS USEFUL INFO!!!)

If you are having trouble with the above search here are more detailed directions:
Take the DPCI #s and search on target.com for an exact match and then use the store locator there. If there isn't an exact match, try googling Target and the DPCI #. For instance, on the 500 gb Seagate hard drive, it doesn't show up on the site. Google shows the online # as 13730271. Then, you can plug the online # in http://m.target.com/fiats/t- and put the online number after the - so the link would be: http://m.target.com/fiats/t-13730271. Hit enter, plug in your zip and it should work.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing in-store as often price tags will not be correct:

1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to BigDirty for that^

Regarding items posted in the OP:

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.

Numbers in purple are DPCI #'s, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Numbers in orange are online item #'s.

I am starting off this new thread going back to October 1st, 2012.

Went to Target in St. Charles, MO hoping for a cheap copy of Doom 3 BFG but found:

-360 media remote for $9.98
-About 5 copies of Hugo BD $8.98
-Singularity (360) $11.98

Saw a lone copy of doom a couple months ago at one store (now OOS) clearanced for $20 I think. Have been checking other stores since, but none of them have clearanced yet, so it seems to be one of the more YMMV clearances.

I stopped by Target and saw about five copies but they weren't on clearance. I will just check back Monday to see what's up.

was in charleston,sc yesterday. found a psp 3000 for 70.01 , listed as repackaged. my wife had the target debit card on hand, and my in laws had given me an additional 5% pharmacy rewards coupon. anyhow we got in late last night, so I just opened it up. it appears to have everything and when I inserted the battery/charged...it came up with the set up options. so I am going to assume it was never played. I am having troubles posting the pics from photobucket in this thread.

We also went by two other targets while in charleston, and those also had the psp repackaged. only 1 at each store. seems odd that there were so many in one area. any idea why?

also, I never really considered owning a psp. all my handheld play has always been on nintendo systems, but this seemed like a good buy. am I correct?

at each location I found them on an electronics clearance endcap. not with the other video games, but mixed in with headphones, iphone cases and other assorted items. finally got the pics to show.

Sometimes an item is tagged as "repackaged" instead of clearance because they aren't in the normal clearance cycle for the store (seems that way anyway)

Not sure if this is a messup or not:

Tucson Targets had the Power Ranger MegaForce Gun and Robo Phone on clearance for $5 each. Got them since I am thinking of trying the Power Ranger card game out. I got the cards and the kids got the toys.

Ironic thing is that the Power Ranger Super Samurai stuff was at full price.

Might try and look at my local target. Hopefully its the start of them clearing these babies out. $70 is a nice deal. Did this bundle get a free memory card?

no memory card, just what you see. unless the memory card is already inserted in the system. I know nothing about the psp, and so far all I have done is adjust the settings and linked my psn account to it.

I ended up getting an awesome find on a Hitachi bluray player, 29.99 clearanced from 99.99, wanted to get a standalone as to use my ps3 only for gaming purposes and not have it on as much (if that makes sense), and great to have a backup around the house. i figure i'll try it out otherwise i'll return it or something.. I would've gotten a couple as gifts or something but i got the last 1 in one of the Buffalo, NY stores. 008 06 8888 SKU

btw, what happened with the OP post, it needs to be cleaned up a bit I think since all of the stuff is so old, and i would add to it but it's a mess digging through code.

The OP to this thread was never worth looking at, IMO. Peep the last two or three pages and bam, you're up to date on Target video game clearance deals.

I was hoping to find one of those Logitech gaming mice someone had mentioned, but no luck. I did see a set of Sony computer speakers for $30. And in Toys I saw a Halo ODST Rookie and Drop Pod for $13.xx down from $50.

It's probably a returned item.

I got those exact toys for my sons today. Luckily there were two of them so no fighting. I didn't know about a card game though.

Sorry for the abrupt end to this thread but it is being closed by me permanently. I don't have the time or patience to keep up with it.

I tried a couple iterations of this thread, both wikified and unwikified....when I left it up to the community to update the OP you guys and girls really underwhelmed me with your lack of cooperation (except for a few of you and to you I say "Thank You")

Someone else is going to have to take it upon themselves to start a new Target Clearance thread, feel free to rip anything you like from this OP (the prior thread URL's maybe???)

Good luck to whomever, I'm out....
