Previous threads:

Target clearance is YMMV
Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction. Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 70% or 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, DCPI # and online item # in RED!!!

For example:

:ps3:
$4.98
123-45-6789 Random Game Name #12345678

DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself.

DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI #'s or Online Item #'s that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

New link to search for items using Target's online item #:

You can also take the DPCI # and search on Target.com for an exact match and then use the store locator there.

(HUGE PROPS TO mitch079 FOR GETTING US THIS USEFUL INFO!!!)

If you are having trouble with the above search here are more detailed directions:
Take the DPCI #s and search on target.com for an exact match and then use the store locator there. If there isn't an exact match, try googling Target and the DPCI #. For instance, on the 500 gb Seagate hard drive, it doesn't show up on the site. Google shows the online # as 13730271. Then, you can plug the online # in http://m.target.com/fiats/t- and put the online number after the - so the link would be: http://m.target.com/fiats/t-13730271. Hit enter, plug in your zip and it should work.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing in-store as often price tags will not be correct:

1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to BigDirty for that^

Regarding items posted in the OP:

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.

Numbers in purple are DPCI #'s, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Numbers in orange are online item #'s.

I am starting off this new thread going back to October 1st, 2012.
Please refer to the prior thread for any items before then.

THIS IS A WIKIFIED THREAD!!! IF YOU ARE ABLE TO, PLEASE UPDATE THE OP WHEN YOU REPORT DROPS USING THE APPROPRIATE FORMAT!!!

THANK YOU....

Vanilla or ultimate?

Anyone know if a rain-check is one-time use only, or would it work again?
You get a rain check to purchase a specific number. So if you get a rain check for 9 widgets, they will sell you 9 widgets at the sale price. If you buy 5 on one transaction your rain check is still valid for 4 more widgets at the sale price.

For only one item the rain check expires after use.

Fry Rd/I-10 In Houston

Nothing except a Medal of Honor Warfighter strategy guide for 5.98. Did pick up some Archer Farms Christmas Blend Coffee for 4.98 and a few toys for my kids on clearance.
Is the Bioshock collection still $21 for ps3? I saw a $30 tag for it over the weekend at my local target.
No, only way to get it for that price is if it is still tagged for 21

Got Ratchet & Klank: All 4 One (PS3) for $5.98, along with some cheap Slim Jim beef jerky on clearance for a little over $2.

Nothing of note at my target yet again. They've got about 60+ assorted calendars sitting on the clearance shelf at around 3-5 bucks a piece. They'll never move that crap.

Yeah, I saw Hugo blu ray last night too and the weird thing is that it wasn't marked as an "as-is" clearance. I've never seen a DVD/blu ray on clearance that wasn't marked "as-is"

It has to do with Paramount movies being distributed by Warner now. So any movies that have the Paramount logo are likely to be clearanced.

Only game I saw was DJ Hero 2 that they need to just salvage already. Things been on clearance for months.

And in a month you'll probably see a bunch of DJ Hero 2 copies at goodwill with Target stickers blacked out with a $20 price tag on them.

Did it come with the "Quest for Booty" code?

If so, does anyone know if it still works? It says expired this past Dec 31st.

already saw 4 at a GW last weekend, 3 were marked for 5.99, one was marked for 12.99.

Sorry if already posted but didn't find it in a quick search.

360 Wireless Wheel $19.98 (marked as clearance not online return). I passed on it.

Saw Darksiders 2 Limited Edition for PC for $9.99, down from $49.99. Looked like regular sale or price drop and it was on the end of the wii aisle, not with the other PC games. Looked for console versions, but didn't see any.

It may still work its just no longer guaranteed if said code expired 12/31/2012

Saw this today as well

My Target clearance sections has been stale for the past few weeks, but tonight I found:

1. A dozen Xbox 360 Media Remotes - $8.98 (Clearance)
2. Sennheiser HD 380 PRO Headset - $139.96 (MSRP $199.95) -- Is this a good buy?
3. (2) Logitech G400 Optical Gaming Mouse - $8.76 each (MSRP $34.99) -- Snagged both of them
Just picked up Professor Layton and The Last Specter for NDS for 7.98
DCPI for that?

No games on clearance at all. An electronics employee asked if he could help me find something. I told him, "Not unless you have some clearance games" to which he replied "We don't have any right now".

On one of the electronics end caps I found The Ring on Blu Ray for $4.50 with an Amazon trade in value of $7.00 and Justin Bieber Never Say Never for $3 with a trade in value of $4. I figured since I was getting the ring for trade in, might as well do that one too. The cashier was scanning my items and when he scanned the Bieber movie, he looked down saw it, did a double take, then quickly shoved it into a bag like it was some kind of dirty secret.

They also had this on clearance for $9. Trade in value is $8 and I've already seen it. Good movie I thought about adding it to my collection but decided against it.
So after taxes and effort to pack and send it, you made about $2 tradein? Congrats.
Redcard savings. Made about $3.50. Not a ton of money but they were just sitting there unwanted so I figured WTF. Also I do Amazon trade in's with their own boxes. This time I'm using an Amazon box about 10x the size of the 2 movies.

They've been remodeling one of the nearby stores by me and I saw a a 360 copy of Condemned 2 with the old school small red tag reading "$29.98". Asked myself, "Who'd pay that?" Turned the game over, and there was an "as is $7.06" tag over the barcode. Picked up a Spiderman Nerf Football for $4.48 instead to throw around at work.

Hugo now is $9 and Gladiator is $6. Still have few copies left at Independence, MO.
My target has a bunch of the Xbox remotes. Im holding out for one more drop to get one, if they make it that far.
Do those remotes work with netflix or just DVD's?
Do those remotes work with netflix or just DVD's?
It shows a Netflix picture on the box so I'd think its supported. That's the only reason I want one.

Works with Netflix, Hulu, HBO etc

This is super YMMV. Went to Target today and saw that the price tag for Sonic and All Stars Racing Transformed Bonus Edition. for the 3DS was $8.98. It rang up $30 like it's supposed to, so it was probably a price mistake. They had two and I got them both.

Not related to video games, but I picked up a Mr. Beer Home Brewing Kit for $10.48 yesterday (originally $34.99). It was located near the kitchen appliances FWIW.

Probably mentioned already but I found Doom 3 BFG Edition at Target on clearance for 14.98. I picked up their last copy.

DPCI Number: 207 22 0792
This was at the chino california store.

Sorry if this was already mentioned and for the crappy pic. I did a search in the thread in didnt see it mentioned.

I saw that Mass Effect 3 Limited Edition was marked at $19.99 at my local Target (Napa,CA), not sure what the price was at previously. There was only one copy left at my store.
