Previous threads:

Target clearance is YMMV
Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction. Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 70% or 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, DCPI # and online item # in RED!!!

For example:

:ps3:
$4.98
123-45-6789 Random Game Name #12345678

DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself.

DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI #'s or Online Item #'s that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

New link to search for items using Target's online item #:

You can also take the DPCI # and search on Target.com for an exact match and then use the store locator there.

(HUGE PROPS TO mitch079 FOR GETTING US THIS USEFUL INFO!!!)

If you are having trouble with the above search here are more detailed directions:
Take the DPCI #s and search on target.com for an exact match and then use the store locator there. If there isn't an exact match, try googling Target and the DPCI #. For instance, on the 500 gb Seagate hard drive, it doesn't show up on the site. Google shows the online # as 13730271. Then, you can plug the online # in http://m.target.com/fiats/t- and put the online number after the - so the link would be: http://m.target.com/fiats/t-13730271. Hit enter, plug in your zip and it should work.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing in-store as often price tags will not be correct:

1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to BigDirty for that^

Regarding items posted in the OP:

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.

Numbers in purple are DPCI #'s, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Numbers in orange are online item #'s.

I am starting off this new thread going back to October 1st, 2012.
Please refer to the prior thread for any items before then.

THIS IS A WIKIFIED THREAD!!! IF YOU ARE ABLE TO, PLEASE UPDATE THE OP WHEN YOU REPORT DROPS USING THE APPROPRIATE FORMAT!!!

THANK YOU....
Has anyone seen any Wii Sports Motion Bundles on sale in their Targets?

Im looking for a cheap Wiimote+ (Black) from Nintendo.
Those were clearance out a couple months ago for $11.98/$14.98/$24.98.

Walmart also had them online for $14.99 a month ago.

Sears also clearance them out for $9.97.
My impression was that he'd already set it aside for himself, and someone re-stocked it. :applause:
I believe that, for a while I kept seeing them have Xmen Destiny set aside in their red carts but never set out in the cases to buy (after Mondays), but finally they set them out however was for a ridiculous price still and not even on sale. Guess they were hoping that since the game was supposed to not be sold anymore in stores that it would go clearance but never did (at my local store anyways).

Saw a tag for :360: Rayman Origins for $5.98 in the glass prison but it was empty. Sucks that I missed it. I was there earlier this week and it wasn't even on clearance, so it just went straight to 70% off or whatever.

I hope so. The Clark & Roosevelt Target had nothing but a bunch of cases for ipods and tablets and old guides.

lies :p If only I could ever find one that wasnt bundled with a ds3!

Saw a couple of these today myself.
Oddly the Goldeneye PS3 Sharpshooter bundle has reappeared at full MSRP at the same store.

In MD I found Ratchet and Clank All 4 One for 13.99, Ratchet and Clank Full Frontal Assualt 13.99, supreme commander 2 for 3.76, Darkspore 5.00 (around that), and NHL 12 for 11.99. The two funny finds were a promo for a coupon of Sim 3 and Warhammer online both were 5 dollars I had a laugh with that.
Target in Brentwood, TN (Old Hickory) has 3-4 more copies of Singularity Xbox 360 for $11.96.
Thanks for the post :) I'd consider it if I didn't already nab it from BB during the last winter for $5. I wish there was some efficient way for my few mid-TN CAGs and I to collaborate and keep up-to-date on these Target markdowns. Hell, I wouldn't mind meeting any of you folks. I have no gaming pals here. :whistle2:T

The Cool Springs Target wasn't any better last time I looked - Singularity, NeverDead, and nothing else really. Saw a few neat things just before Christmas but the clearance cycle has returned to its almost perpetual state of nothing interesting.

Anyone looking for a tv, not sure if it's a great deal or not, but they have the 42" Vizio E-Series TV 120HZ 1080P Smart TV clearance down now to 449.98 or so. from 499.99 original, of course my parents got one at 399.99 when it was on a sale, but just something to toss out there. Also, saw an LG Soundbar for about 130.

Need for Speed The Run (PS3) $ 3.76...says "AS IS."

There is a new copy for $19.99, so I'm not sure what Target did to get the price lowered on the other copy. This is the Target at Meyerland (Hou, TX).

Just keep postings deals in this thread. If I ever see anything decent I post it. Here lately there has been nothing much to post. The best I've seen lately is AC Brotherhood for PS3 for $9.xx at the Charlotte Ave store.

Damn good find... way too far out for me though.

They're not video games but last week I picked up:

K'nex Mario Circuit Ultimate Building set - $32.98
K'nex Mario & Luigi Starting Line set - $14.98
K'nex Mario & DK Circuit Start Line set - $17.98

MSRP for the 3 sets is $220. I bought them for $66+tax.

Man, you guys are lucky. The game section at my Target is practically non-existent. There is never anything on clearance.
Don't bother with NeverDead. it's not even worth $5.
i enjoyed it for the $10 i spent on it

Great prices, I was hesitant to buy a set with the karts and track last year but it's a lot of fun designing tracks and watching the karts race. I'll have to look to see if my local Target has any sets on clearance since I could always use more track.
R&C FFA reverted back to 19.99 near me this week. Still listed as "Ratchet & Clank: Future" on the tag/scanner.
Noticed this as well. Was hoping it would get to $5.98, haha.

My main complaint is the stickers make the set feel cheap. I hate how everything is done with stickers.

Only noticed one game on clearance this past week:

PS3 - MVC3 - $9.98

There's a huge rack of games with NCF shelf tags that have been sitting at $19.99~29.99 for months.
A lot of them are games people have reported being on clearance in the past too.
I've actually tried scanning a few of them just in case but they all come up at $19.99~29.99.
I wish they'd drop em already! :S

MSRP as my store, checked tonight. Must be your store only.

Everytime I see this thread it makes me sad...

My Target has been a ghost town for clearance since before Black Friday. I go there every week to see nothing, couldn't even tell you when the last time I found anything worth my money.

For example the only game in clearance this week was (PS3) Medal of Honor Warfighter marked down to $40

Can anyone explain this more recent phenomenon I keep seeing at local targets -

They have started piling a bunch of old games in the traditional 'clearance' areas of the electronics section, but instead of being marked down or discounted in any way, they're all full price and have absolutely no clearance tags. These areas keep growing, with more and more games, dvds, etc being shelved there but there are no discounts whatsoever.

My initial thought, as this trend started pre-Black Friday, was that they were building up stock for their usual BF clearance 'sale' ... however, this trend has continued at a number of Targets around my area and the stuff just sits there, without tags, until it usually just disappears. Any ideas?

That's incredibly bad, since that game was just on a nationwide sale for $20 last week, all platforms.
