Previous threads:

Target clearance is YMMV
Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction. Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 70% or 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, DCPI # and online item # in RED!!!

For example:

:ps3:
$4.98
123-45-6789 Random Game Name #12345678

DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself.

DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI #'s or Online Item #'s that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

New link to search for items using Target's online item #:

You can also take the DPCI # and search on Target.com for an exact match and then use the store locator there.

(HUGE PROPS TO mitch079 FOR GETTING US THIS USEFUL INFO!!!)

If you are having trouble with the above search here are more detailed directions:
Take the DPCI #s and search on target.com for an exact match and then use the store locator there. If there isn't an exact match, try googling Target and the DPCI #. For instance, on the 500 gb Seagate hard drive, it doesn't show up on the site. Google shows the online # as 13730271. Then, you can plug the online # in http://m.target.com/fiats/t- and put the online number after the - so the link would be: http://m.target.com/fiats/t-13730271. Hit enter, plug in your zip and it should work.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing in-store as often price tags will not be correct:

1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to BigDirty for that^

Regarding items posted in the OP:

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.

Numbers in purple are DPCI #'s, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Numbers in orange are online item #'s.

I am starting off this new thread going back to October 1st, 2012.
Please refer to the prior thread for any items before then.

THIS IS A WIKIFIED THREAD!!! IF YOU ARE ABLE TO, PLEASE UPDATE THE OP WHEN YOU REPORT DROPS USING THE APPROPRIATE FORMAT!!!

THANK YOU....

My Target had one lone Ratchet and Clank FFA in the clearance section a couple days ago, but no price, so I thought it was just left there by accident. Then I saw the other posters in this thread and decided to check today when I had to go there. It was priced clearance today at $13.98 so I picked it up. Hope it's good.
Does that mean it will get put on clearance soon?
It's not a guarantee, but it's a slight possibility.
So did clearance get bumped to Wednesday? Or back on track for Monday. I didn't see anything new this week.
Sunday night is generally when backroom pulls clearance to get marked down. So either they were too busy and it was never pulled, or there was nothing to clearance. Then again it could possibly pop up Wed.
was r&c clearance or was it an "as-is" or "online item"?
Timonium MD. Not in clearance section. Just up front by the registers. Rang for 13.98

Got lucky and got the last R&C FFA for 13.98 in Tomball today.

Has anybody bought the Target exclusive R&C All 4 One pack with the Quest for Booty free DLC? I was curious if anyone knew if the code has an expiration date on it.

I own it. End date is 12/31/12.

I saw Ratchet & Clank FFA on clearance today for $13.98. Didn't buy it though because I played All-4-One free trhough PS+ and thought it sucked.

Grabbed the last R&C at my Target. It wasn't in the clearance section or even marked. It was in the budget game section by the PC games. Scanned at $13.98.

I'm hoping that a bunch of targets just marked these r&c copies down in the system but didn't bother hunting them down to label, may get lucky next week with another drop.

on a side note, today was a terrific day for non video game clearance. lots of stuff in all departments including seasonal and toys for decent prices.

Not really all that excited over a 7 dollars savings for R&C but may go and see what I may of missed Monday since I didn't go on my typical weekly trips.

this I hope my target still has a copy

All of the Targets in the Tampa, FL area are sold out of R&C: FFA so I find it hard to understand why so many people in this thread are finding them on clearance. I know the game isn't very popular, but if so many stores are sold out, why are others clearancing them so early? I also know that it was sold out on Amazon (except 3rd party) until just recently. I'm sure it's one of those things no one will be able to answer, but interesting to ponder at least...

My only logical guess is that Sony wants to discontinue physical stock to sell more digital versions - especially when the game is a little more desirable because the Vita version will be available.

I took a chance and checked a third Target (only because it was convenient) and was surprised to find a stack of about 20 R&C:FFA on clearance for $13.xx when the first two were completely out. I'm not sure why these didn't show up on their website stock locator. I'm sure someone here would probably tell me clearance items normally do not. Either way, i'm happy with the find. Now i'm just waiting for the Vita version to go live.

:ps3: FIFA Street 4, $11.98

Forgot to look for R&C, doh!

Christmas clearance was torn up/down/sideways when I got to the store at 4:00 PM. Everything at 50% level, seasonal candy virtually wiped out on the day after Christmas (never seen that before), and plenty of cows still clogging up the aisles grazing for Christmas stuff.
FFA for $13.98 is only a 30% clearance, right? I'll wait for 50% or 70%.
You could always look on the upper right hand corner of the clearnace sticker. It has the percent off in witch it makes the price. Or for a quick CAG math lesson you can click on the spoiler tab. I try to explain this to my wife but she is bad at math.

So if you really want to figure out percentages off and how much something will cost at a certain percent of it is pretty easy. Lets take FFA for $13.98. The regular retail is $19.99 so lets just round that up to to $20. Now if you are taking 30% off that means you are paying 70 cents on the dollar (100-30=70). So since the retail price is 20 and you will be paying .70 cents on the dollar you want to multiply .70 x 20; however, many people get confused with multiplication when dealing with double digits. So, just take away the zeroes and multiply 7 x 2 =14. This is the way I do it when percentages end in "0" So 30% off of $20 is $14 or Targets $13.98.

So this formula will work for any item you are looking for. So if you are at a Kohls and its 85% off an item marked $19.99 than you will multiply .15 x 20 (Fifteen cents on the dollar twenty times) so that item is $3.00. Easiest way to do it is thinking how many cents on the dollar you will be paying. Hope this helps, my wife can never do it so I am the one doing all the clearance shopping.

there's an easier way than that i believe. it used to be the last digit could tell you. look at whether it ends in a 8, 6, or 4. that will tell you if it's on it's 1st, 2nd, or 3rd markdown

No, game clearance always ends in an "8" unless its final markdown after 70% hence ratchet is $13.98 than it will drop to $9.98 than drop to 70% to $5.98. If it last past 70% it will go salvage or marked down to $3.04 for final clearance.

:ds: Cooking Mama 3: Shop and Chop - 5.98
:ds: Beyblade: Metal Fusion - 5.98

Cooking Mama 3 has been on the clearance bin for a while but was always scanning 19.99 until the other day. Beyblade has been 5.98 for a while but I haven't seen it reported here, so just adding.

"Than" and "Then" are not interchangeable. A couple more commas wouldn't hurt in that sentence either.

I LOVE the free grammar correction - that guy got a real deal for free. Well done ooga - now can you please correct every alot (a lot) and point out the difference between there, their and they're ;-)

Thats a really cool "alot" drawing! Do that yourself?

Anyways, of course "A Lot" is much simpler:

I went to "terrget" yesterday. Long story. Got a fatty 200GB PS/3 for my kid (preowned). Figured, fix it myself. So, fixed YLOD. Ran the thing for nearly 6 weeks without a hitch. Pack it up, gift wrap it. Give it to him on Xmas. He plugs it in, YLOD.

SO! Off to Terrget yesterday, bought him the 250GB Uncharted one. Everyone take notes: "To screw things up properly always costs more money". Should be a definition (word!) for that. How about:

Fixspencing - "To fix things resulting in costing you more money rather than just doing the right thing from the start".

----

Anyways, they had Ferrari Test Drive in closeout for $14.98 and a bunch of DJ Hero II's for the seX-Box 360 for $4.98. I bought a Ferrari game. I thought about going home and grabbing my mass of rolled up pennies and going back for the DJ Hero mass. Why? Because at the rate my pennies value is declining they should equalize in value with DJ Hero sometime next year, they take less space, easier to carry.

So sometime next year if I want a pack f chewing gum (the under .99 stuff) I could just hand the cashier 4 or 5 copies of DJ Hereo II right?

Missing BMP's, should be shut down and fined.

YMMV of course, but I found an online item return of the Neo Geo X Gold set for $139.96 yesterday. Sealed and box is in good shape. Anyone looking for one on the cheap might want to check it out.

Fixed.
Second t should have been lowercase and you forgot a comma.

Couldn't resist!:grouphug:

Should we change the thread name to "The spelling and grammar correction thread"?
Heck, even the OP is guilty as the word "bona fide" should not have a dash.

Now can we get back to discussing Target clearance items please?

Stopped by another Target to check for some Christmas clearance. Nothing but :ps3: NHL 12 in the video game clearance. Did find some nice fake candles and penguin ornaments though.

Spied Lollipop Chainsaw for 360 at my local Target for $27.xx. Had 2 copies. Want it to drop lower, anyone had any luck (didn't see in OP)?

I think the dcpi for it is 207 22 0704.

Went today to try to find Ratchet and Clank. I didn't find it, but I did find a Wii Play Motion thing. $14.98. Worthless game, but it came with a Wii Remote so I got it. No clearance tag but DCPI is 207260831.

On Topic: my sister went to target near her, no luck, I'll have to hit up the local tomorrow

Referring to finding a copy of R&C FFA. But nothing else was found either.
