The Good, the Bad and the Last Movie You Saw
Who else does everyone like from Hong Kong? When it comes to martial arts, I enjoy Jackie Chan, Jet Li, and Donnie Yen. I haven't seen much of Donnie's work, but I have liked what I've seen him in (The Kung Fu Master, Fist of Fury, Once Upon a Time in China 2, Iron Monkey, In the Line of Fire 4...).
Donnie's in a new one by Tsui Hark that just came out this year, it's called Seven Swords. I haven't seen it myself but it looks pretty good. It's sort of a supernatural 7 Samurai kind of thing.
Also, where does everyone shop for their Asian movies? It's becoming harder to order from U.S. based shops because of copyright reasons, and I've never ordered from another country before...
Get it online, use Netflix for the stuff you can get and for everything else you can't, greencine.com specializes in a lot of foreign cinema (and where I get my stuff as I'm too cheap to get 2 subscriptions).

Just saw Return of the King extended edition the other night. Cant help thinking that they shouldve had an alternate ending where there was at least one guard at the top of the mountain. Even a lone orc wouldve stomped those two weary hobbits out.

Now I remember hearing about that movie. I'll look more into that one.

I've pretty much exhausted Netflix for Andy Lau and Stephen Chow movies. The only things I haven't rented of theirs is stuff that is listed as having no English subtitles on it. I know that Netflix isn't always correct with the specs listings, but I would hate getting a movie and not being able to understand it.
I thought Stephen Chow's "Out of the Dark" was funny. My favorite asian actor has to be Tony Leung. You probably mostly remember him from Infernal Affairs and Hero. He was also in Hard Boiled. In every city that has a good amount of asian population, you can always find a market that sells vcds, dvds, or even let u rent tapes. Its been awhile since I've been to them places but my cousin's aunt(who I'm not related to) owns one of those shops. Thats how I get some of the movies through him.
I've wanted to see Out of the Dark. Now that a DVD of it is more readily available, I might pick it up one of these days.

Tony Leung is pretty good. I liked him in Infernal Affairs and Hero.

Unfortunately, my city doesn't have a decent Asian population, so it's pretty much NetFlix, Poker Industries, eBay, and AznFilms for my renting/purchasing needs.

Definitely check out Greencine then. You might find some hidden gems.

Looks like a nice website. I might give them a try one of these months. How's the shipping times? I wonder how long it would take for a disc to ship from California to Texas...

I don't know I never pay attention. But i'd guess 3 days at the most. But I'm not in a rush to get dvds that much anyway.

Akira Kurosawa's Dreams

Eh, a fine film. Some of the dreams work better than others, and the pacing of several isn't very good. It does have some very nice imagery, though, and some scenes that work very well. If you're a fan of the director, it might be worth looking into.
Mr. and Mrs. Smith

Angelina Jolie....
That's still out?

I had plans since March to watch that opening week. I still haven't.

I fell asleep watching Garden State last night. I didn't even make it to the party scene. Yeah, I was tired.

Wedding Crashers - 3.5/5

A very slow start, it takes 30 min. of unfunny jokes for the real laughs to come out. Not a must see but a good watch none the less.

Red Eye - 4/5

I enjoyed Red Eye a lot. A breath of fresh air in a shitty overpopulated genre. Wes should give up Horror and stick with suspense flicks ,where his real talent is.
Naked Lunch

"I can think of at least two things wrong with that title."
I have lunch naked all the time. Doesn't everyone?;)

I love eating lunch naked. Crumbs are a pain though... especially in the clevage.

Oh? That's the best part. It gives your lover an excuse to lick it off. ;)

During the day all she has is the cat. And though it's not really beastiality I'm sure it still feels wrong. Plus cat's don't exactly have smooth tongues.
I fell asleep watching Garden State last night. I didn't even make it to the party scene. Yeah, I was tired.
I think I'll try watching it again now.

Ok, just finished watching Garden State for the 3rd time this week, and I just noticed something. How did Mark not already know Albert? You'd think they had crossed paths at some point.

Total Recall

A fairly solid, entertaining sci-fi action flick. As far as PKD adaptations go, though, it pales in comparison to Blade Runner and Minority Report. But I kinda expected that, so it's all good.
Some racing movie I caught on HBO with Jackie Chan. Rather interesting.

Before that, it's Red Eye.
Are you talking about the Jackie Chan movie "Thunderbolt" that GuilewasNK saw? They showed it on HBO? What the hell?

They showed the dubbed version on HBO? Weird...

Just saw Wedding Crashers. It was alright. I normally despise romantic comedies because they always have that spiral at the end that leads into the happy ending, as this one did - But it was heavy enough on the comedy and tits to make it tolerable.

The Punisher (2004).

Contrary to what the critics and asshole say, this film is brilliant. Jonathan Hensleigh did an incredible job re-adapting The Punisher comic book into a modern day Spaghetti Western reveng story, channeling Sergio Leone and Don Siegel (who was inspired by Leone's work).

Which characters are they? Don't just give me a character name, be specific, I haven't seen it in a while.

The Terminal is on HBO right now, watching it.. i've seen it before, good movie.

The Perfect Score.

Mark's the grave robbing friend and Albert is the jewlery dealing guy at the quarry.

I thought he DID know them.. he always said that he had to ask for a few favors and he thanks him at the quarry.. maybe they just dealt in dealers or something, or maybe he was referred to him or something.. I dunno. I guess Mark's just used to stealing things instead of getting them back.

Well, Diego (Method Man) had to tell him how to get there, and then Albert says that he had trouble finding it (the necklace) but he owed Diego big time or something to that effect. Not a big deal, it just seemed odd to me that they hadn't met.
anime: Bible Black
A few months ago, I found "Bible Black" hidden on my friend's PC. I assume it's hentai, as it was mixed in with a ton of hentai images and videos.

In that folder, there was some Street Fighter manga with M. Bison and Balrog "double-teamin'" Chun-Li. M. Bison declared to Balrog, who is still wearing boxing gloves, "I can feel your balls." And Balrog confesses with a simple, "Me, too", which I read in the voice of Mike Tyson. I laughed for about three and a half hours.

That must be the same one then. I saw it on TNT though. Weird.

 Hentai is entertaining if nothing else.

A Woman Under the Influence

Great movie with an incredible performance by Gena Rowlands. I can't be the only one who thought her husband was a total douche.

...It was Probably on TNT. I have no clue. I just know I turned on the Television and it was on...I assumed it was HBO. Sorry.

I just got done watching The Game. A very interesting movie to say the least.
