Here's all I could think while I was watching Bleach 90, which wasn't bad really, compared to some of the filler.

Holy shit....Renji won a fucking fight?!?!?!?! And wow is Kariya overpowered. He just absolutely wiped the floor with Ichigo.
EDIT: And boy does the next episode look interesting. Ishida with his fake powers, Zangetsu world with Ichigo, and Yoruichi showing up...

I haven't watched any Naruto since 183, so when we get news of when things'll get back on track, I'll start watching them again. For those collecting the AonE releases, Gotwoot has kicked things up a notch lately with getting 165-171 up, so only 172 remains for all the episodes up to 178.

Back to Yakitate to see if I can get past episode 25, which keeps freezes my PC. I also got Detectice Academy Q and a Taiko Drum claymation anime.

Yakitate is near the top of my backlog list... that said, my backlog list is quite long. :cry:
 
I have to say, Bleach 237 was quite sad.

I really hope they get Inoue back from the Arrancars sometime in the near future. The whole scene in Ichigo's room was so sad, especially when she was going on about how she wished she had 5 lives, but she'd always fall in love with Ichigo in them all. Granted, I've always liked Inoue, so I'm a bit biased, but I loved this chapter.

yeah i know what you mean, I have always been more of a Rukia guy, but I felt really bad for her

I just dont want another damsel in distress arc/emo ichigo cant protect anyone. Also I am curious how long will it be till someone realizes she's gone. Its prob going to be awhile before we even see some real action, oh and I have a feeling we will see a powered up Chad and Ishida real soon

PoT 2 is up (since when, I don't know). Horio sounds like a chump (I would have preferred a higher pitched voice, but you get used to it), and Momo's voice is the opposite: too high.

Ok. I just happened to tune into Toonami after Naruto went off. I have seen a decent amount of the crappy edited version but I must of missed this character.

Ryoma beat Tezuka, arguably the best player in Ja-Pan (except that guy better than Sanada)
, there's no competition for Ryoma, who can only get better. What fun is it if Ryoma just cleans out everyone with little effort? Now if he went to the US or something, that would be kinda cool.

Hmmm... yes & no. I think that the way they portray tennis is like an intense arms race (pun intended). As they all grow, every person will develop new tactics/moves to counter everyone else. Case in point,
Kevin, his American clone, developed his own style (although it was incomplete) to counter Ryoma's Cyclone. Ditto for Fuji - he developed a brand new counter in the new series.
. Besides, although none of the freshmen were as strong as Ryoma, who's to say none of them develop a move to soundly defeat Ryoma. I figure Arai is the first most likely person to do so for 2 reasons: A) he's an upperclassman & B) can't stand underclassmen who think they are better than him (even if it's true in Ryoma's case).
 
I guess, but I couldn't even imagine what kind of new ideas they could use. Ryoma's skill is integrated so well in the series because he never lost a match (I think). Plus he was pwning @ USOPEN afaik.

Oh well.

He lost an unofficial match to Sanada and almost lost to that elastic guy w/ the white hair as well as Ryoma's American clone, Kevin. Then there's the usual asshanding by Tezuka. Not to mention constantly losing to his dad.:lol:

Well, if you think about it, he definitely would've lost to Sanada in the official match had he not had the unofficial one. The unofficial one was what allowed him to know Sanada's abilities so if they had done things officially, Ryoma wouldn't have his official winning streak.

Horio could've used a little more nasally voice like his Japanese VA, which possibly Chouji's english VA could've fit. Momo's is pretty much fine, though I'd like to see how he sounds when he's arguing with Kaidoh.
 
I have to say, after watching the first three episodes of Zero no Tsukaima, it's actually really good. It reminds me a lot of Shakugan no Shana, especially since Rie Kugimiya, who did Shana's voice, does Louise (the main character)'s voice. It's actually pretty hilarious at times. Definitely gonna keep watching this show.

I hope it's real this time. :lol: I've been watching the raws and have seen 3 and 4 already (with 5 close to being finished). Let's just say the absurdity level, on a scale of 1-10, has just reached 48.

Ugh. Bleach and One Piece sucked this week. On the plus side, though, it seems like I won't have to read both anymore. They've been combined into one now:

Finished Kino's Journey earlier this week. While it was good, it was a little repetitive with Kino visiting a new town with some strange tradition and she examins the morality of their tradition/culture/lifestyle.

I'm up to episode 50 of Yakitate and it's just great. I wasn't expecting Conan (Case Closed) to appear in the last double episode. :lol:

I just hope this next part is only the 9 episodes left before 100. It'd be nice to finish the filler up at 100 and start the Arrancar arc then. Hopefully, this will be what happens, cause it looks like we're getting ready for the big fights of this arc. And yeah, Ishida was a bit of a dumbass there at the end.
 
Ugh. English PoT is fine except for a few things, the biggest of them being the mispronunciation of names (Seigaku, normally Say-guh-koo, is pronounced Say-GAW-koo. Tezuka, normally pronounced Tez-kah, is pronounced Te-ZOO-kah). :hot:

I can forgive pronunciations since they're American VAs but what peeves me is the voices themselves. When they can't emulate the voice of the original VA, it changes the character's personality somewhat. Take Sakuno for instance. In the Japanese version, she's this shy, introverted girl who has a crush on Ryoma. In the US version, she seems like a whiny lil bitch who needs to get 5 across the eyes... and that's putting it mildly. Even Naruto's American VA was able to get the personality of Naruto right - childish & mischievious.

We can only hope & pray. :pray: I will admit, for a filler, Bleach did a better job than Naruto. They had a consistent arc while Naruto were all one-shots or mini-arcs (which were hit & miss). I'd say the only drawback to Bleach's filler is that it's starting to draw it out too long & that's wading hip-deep in DBZ country. I don't mind the occasional DBZ "I'm stronger than you! No! I am!" plot device. But I watch anime for good stories & when the plot device becomes the story is when it goes downhill for me.
 
So, the next Inuyasha movie on AS. What's the likelyhood of it being fucked up again with widescreen being stretched to fullscreen instead of just widescreen w/black bars? The promos seem to suggest the latter, but I'm not so sure how truthful they are.
 
This is reminding me how much I love FLCL. I really need to buy this on DVD some day, all three 30 dollar DVDs.
