Just do trial and error...that's how I set my Japanese account up...wasn't too difficult.
 
I've got mine preordered through the Liongames deal - whatever GS's "exclusive bonus" is, I know it's not worth a $20 difference. :p

This, Lair & Hot Shots Golf should make for a really good PS3 summer!

when are you getting a ps3? shame MK2 doesn't have voice chat or quarter matches, so no shit talking or dudes who tell us the history and deep backstory of megaman.


edit: was it just me or was that video not-so-HD looking? it looked no better than the Xbox version most of the time. Some great stuff though. those dual katanas and Rachel are gonna own.

Well, the video quality wasn't the best, but there's clearly a ton more detail in all of the textures... the other thing that sucked about the video though was that it wasn't running at 60FPS... the clips I saw of the game running at 60 looked really, really smooth. And that was nice.

As for when I'm getting a PS3, hopefully in a couple weeks. My last final is next Tuesday and then I'm in a spending mood. I'll have my HT shit then and I might be able to eke a PS3 outta my spending. It must be done for Ninja Gaiden, VF5, and Ridge Racer 7... and presumably the Darkness. But yeah, there needs to be a fighting game A) better than MK2 and B) that'll allow us to have the EPIC Megaman storyline told to us against our will. Seriously, if you think Mega Man's storyline needs to be completed and get frustrated by the fact that Mega Man and Bass is non-canon, you're a prick and I hope you choke.

I imagine SSF2T and SPF2T this fall is when that'll happen. And by that time, like 10 Mega Man Battle Network games will have come out, along with Mega Man X 13, 14, and 15, and Mega Man 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, ZX 2, XE, EX, XF, XG, and XQ.
 
I really hate paying for games I already played, but I'll probably pick this up since I missed Black. The original was amazingly well done and I only had 1 real fustrating fight. The game (unlike most games) ramps up difficulty rather well and builds smoothly. Many people felt it was too hard but I thought it was rather perfect. I hate difficult games as well (Hell resistance was too hard for me on normal to play through alone).

But yeah good stuff....... if it was $30 it'd be a definite buy.

I'm assuming that was the first boss fight. That had me at hello for awhile :(

The only other part I remember that frustrated me was at the end when you had to get out of the volcano before it blew or somethin' like that. I haven't played this game in well over a year and 1/2

One thing I do remember was that the Vigoorian Flail ruled the combo counter :D, I had so much fun with those ^^
 
I actually had trouble intially with that floating lady (rachel's sister I think?)
But the thing about all the boss battles was eventually it was all about the "flying swallow" move heh...

Alma was easily the most difficult fight in Ninja Gaiden... partially because by that point in the game, a lot of people just aren't ready for that kind of challenge.
 
I really think I'm going to skip the demo assuming I get a PS3 as soon as I'm thinking I will... I know it's going to be a ridiculously good game and I'd rather have the "WTF ZOMG SHIT!!" factor when I start playing the final product so that I don't die from anxiety over waiting for the actual game.

It's supposed to be a level that isn't in the game (or something like that) so it may be worth checking out later.

This Collectors Edition will be a 2-disc set with special hi-res packaging, a behind the scenes DVD from Team Ninja, and special codes to unlock Ryu and Rachael mission modes.

Am I the only one who loves the nunchucks? Don't think I'm doing as much damage with them but it is a blast connecting the combos.

where are you all getting these nunchuks and crap? I beat the first chapter and still only had the sword, do I have them already to equip or what?

yeah, noticed that. same thing happened on NG:Black-- some joker had maxed out Karma. But my score is legit :) Anything past 800,000 is probably a glitch.

That's true....to me it seemed like she is walking like a robot. They way she walks looks too stiff. It might not bug some people but it's going to bug the shit out of me which it already is.
 
My first impressions:

Eh, it's alright.
Not really my type of game I guess (neither was God of War)

Blasphemy I know, but I like the Virtua Tennis 3 demo better. :)
Ryu looks pretty bad ass though. Love the suit.

It is rough to get used to at first since Ryu is all over the screen if you nudge the analog stick.

She's got a different feel for sure.
