Previous threads:
Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs
123-45-6789

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The website for locating clearance titles by their DPCI # is here: Find In Store

Much like the ASIN location website replace the DPCI # at the end of the URL...

(HUGE PROPS TO aj slick FOR GETTING US THIS USEFUL TOOL!!!)

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell:

No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.
The Ping Pong table is $32.48. It is full size, and as someone who has had to do many carry out on it, it's frickin heavy! If I had something bigger than a Corolla and a room to put it, I would definitely nab it
Oh damn! Going to Target on the way home from work. Thanks man. I'm moving into a new place on Monday with a garage that SCREAMS table tennis.

Yeah - those biatches are big and heavy. All the other tables are 75% off, too.

I picked up a nice Eddie Bauer Inflatable queen mattress with a built in pump for $19.xx. I hope it makes it easier on my back when I sleep on my little boy's floor at night...

Also lucked out and found the Sting Ray Hot Wheels Treasure hunt AND a SUPER treasure hunt today in the same store. I was very excited about that!

Nothing good in video games at my stores, but I did get a full mens golf set for $75.

I didn't take my clubs with me when I moved last year so I'm really happy to have a cheap set for the few times I'll actually go.

For anyone interested, its a Top Flite XL 5000 18pc set. DCPI 088-04-0520
I'm 6'2" and have a pain in the ass time getting decent sized clubs, how are the Top Flites?
This set feels decent. The clubs and the bag feel like its built pretty well.

I just got them last night so I haven't had a chance to use them. The regular price on them was $300, which seems a little too high, but they seem like they are worth the $75.

I'm 6' and they feel about the right size for me.

Turns out my nearby Target's getting the grocery remodel now, so its clearance sections were all over the place. Couldn't find a single game table of any sort. Here's hoping one of the other Targets has one!

Anyone got a DCPI on that ping pong table?

Also, the VG clearance section only had :360: Iron Man 2 at $14.xx. Womp.

yep, saw a ladies set for $75 and the 6 piece Kids Nike/Tiger Woods set for $50.. almost bought this one...
Nice I guess I need to start looking :)
From peoples reactions you may wants to wait until it hits a possible 75% off if you really want to get it. Not a lot of people seems to like the game saying it's really repetitive.

Naughty Bear clearanced out at many Targets around Thanksgiving or so all the way to 75%, this is like a "second chance" where the Targets that didn't clearance it before are doing it. Very strange. (same with Bayonetta)
Usually they salvage it which generally means they donate it to the Goodwill. You may get lucky if they put it back on the floor, and you may get luckier if they sell it to you for the last price in the sytem.
I found a White Knight Chronicles (PS3) at my Target that came up "Out Of System" on their self-check scanner. The game had a clearance sticker and I think the price on the sticker was $24.98 or thereabouts. I asked the guy in electronics and he said they will sell it for the price on the clearance sticker. I don't want to pay that much and would like to get it for the last price in the system. What does the employee need to do to find the last known price in the system and do all employees know how to find the last known price? I'd appreciate advise from anyone who has been in a similar situation and been able to get the item for the "last price in the system". Thanks.

Have them scan it using their handheld scanner it will show them the last price it was in the system.

Take the sticker off or they will refuse to scan it with the handheld. They will always refer you to the sticker price.
Naughty Bear is $24.98 at my Target...im still unsure whether I wanna get it when it hits $12.48!
It's kind of hard to pass on any game at 75% off and Naughty Bear is no exception... atleast, for me. I've only seen it at $24.98 at only one of my Targets. All the other Targets still have it, along with Trauma Team and Bayonetta, at 30% off.

Hard to take the sticker off if the game is in the plastic case which most games in my area are. If the employee at electronics will not look it up in the handheld scanner, take it to customer service and call a manger over if needed.

Yes!!!!! I finally scored!
[207020601] My Little Pony - Pinkie Pie's Party for DS $4.98

I'm afraid to find out who Pinkie Pie is and why he/she/it is having a party.

Actually, if it's out of the system, then it's hit the lowest it will go. Game could be $4.98. Morals garbage aside, you could ask for a copy, peel off the sticker and then take it to the register. They might call someone over and you could tell them that it didn't ring up so you figured it was at the lowest pricepoint possible. They might sell it to you for $4.98 -- or at least lower than the ticketed $24.98.

Not advocating you do this -- I've never peeled a sticker off an item, but I once bought an item (watch) that didn't ring up and had no sticker and my Target cashier called the mgr. over, and they rang it up at $4.98.

If it has a sticker and it's in a plastic case, then you're pretty much screwed. Getting a manager involved might not work out like you want since they will most likely refuse to sell it to you when they see that it's out of the system. YMMV, though.

I picked up the set yesterday for $52 at a Target near my Mother-in-Laws. We had to stay at her place because our power company, Pepco suck arse and we lost power during the Snowpocalyspe last week in Maryland. Now I have to save cash for a generator. Probably won't find that in the Target clearance.

Anyone scrounging around for a copy of Naughty Bear might want to consider Amazon, as they've got it for $27 + FSSS right now.

Found Naughty Bear for $12.48(xbox) at my local store. Had plenty more - could prob score some extras if CAGs dying for it.

Also grabbed a Beatles Rock band for $7.48.

Naughty Bear is pretty terrible (really, not much fun at all). At $12.48 it might be worth a try.

Well I drove way out to the one Target in town that apparently had that ping pong table in stock (4 of them according to the system). Walked around and couldn't find it, so I asked customer service. They said some dude in a pickup truck came by a few hours earlier and bought all four of 'em, I'm guessing to pawn or sell on Craigslist to turn a profit. Hope he gets a hernia lifting that shit! Oh well.

From the reviews, those ping pong tables sound like garbage. Be glad you don't have to find a way to throw them away in a few weeks.

PM sent, yes dying, please help me score a copy for my wife :D

My Target moved the non-plastic-prison Wii and DS shovelware titles from the front of the store by the registers to the back of the store where the video game clearance was. The remaining clearance has been moved, at least temporarily, down to the endcap by the books.

All I saw of note today was Trauma Team for $14.xx or something. I think there was The Beatles: Rock Band for Xbox 360 and one other shovelware-ish game for Wii but I don't recall the prices.

Found a Bioshock 2 LE, but it scans at 69.99. They said it was probably a return and checked the hand scanner for a lower price, but they said it didn't show it ever clearanced at their store. :bomb:

Is Trauma Center worthy of 19.98?

I need to be an extreme CAG for at least a month or two after dropping 850.00 to rebuild my transmission. Gotta make every penny count!

Check Best Buy or even Gamestop as they've had it lower than that.:D
Does the return/rebuy method work if the item supposedly scanned and shows $0.00 on the price checker?
no, that means it is salvage and going into the trash if you return it.

Of all that Wii shovelware that was recently moved, the only noteworthy game to watch is Ghostbusters. Still clocking in at $15 though. It should be worth picking up once it drops closer to, or below, $10.

Got Lego Harry Potter DS for $8.74.
It's the edition that includes the minifigure, stylus and 48 page game guide.

Grabbed Beatles RB for a friend today for $7.48 (I got it back in Nov clearance for $10.)

Great price for a lot of amazing music. Too bad you can't export the Beatles stuff to the main game :(

Trauma Team holding STRONG for the 4th week in a row here at $28 :(

It's currently $30 at Gamestop.

Rapala Pro Bass Fishing 360 (Only 2.50, cant go wrong for that price)

Also spotted a buncha CoD Black Ops Prestige Editions for 120$ish, and a Halo Reach Legendary for like 80$.

I know, but it was 17.49 @ Target.

It is also $31.99 at BB and qualified for the b2g1 sale, but I want it cheap! (I already have one, but I want to keep my good one sealed).

Picked up Naughty Bear for $12.48 and an Assassins Creed T-Shirt for $3.24.

I can't help but think $12 might be a bit much for Naughty Bear, time will tell I guess.

Surprise that you found RE 5 Gold edition....

Wow, probably a Monday markdown at my local Target and 3/4 of the clearance games were cleared out, mostly leaving behind titles at 50%. On the plus though, there were still a few copies of Naughty Bear left at 75% off, so I managed to get 2 copies, one for myself and one for trading.
