Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

Much like the ASIN location website replace the DPCI # at the end of the URL...

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Ended up with two Cabela's although only wanted one. First store had only one copy and the box was really beat up. Didn't want to risk missing out. Later in the day came across another store that had 3 copies in near great shape so bought one more with the intent of returning the first copy

I said I wanted it as a "backup/extra DVD player", meaning extra DVD player and a backup for the PS2's I have now. ;)
 
I went to Targets in Fredericksburg, VA, Winchester, VA, and Martinsburg, WV today and the only thing I saw at about 5 different stores was

I did find one copy each of :ps3: and :360: Marvel vs Capcom 3 SE in Winchester, VA. I decided against double dipping, bought the Xbox copy, and left the PS3 one. It was in the front facing plastic prison case away from the rest of the Xbox/PS3.

Is that all for PS3? I've seen almost only PS3 stuff there lately...but I only have a 360 at the moment. I wouldn't mind Shift I heard that was a decent game. Even SSFIV isn't a bad price, I got mine for $15 during a Newegg sale.

Not a native of Cali so forgive me if i don't have the correct area but the Target on Gaffey Street in san pedro had a few DOA Ultimates for 34.99 for both 360 and PS3

Did a last minute run to my local Target and was kinda suprised. First of all i found a plethora of out of clearance games. These werent in the clearance section or on the shelves. They where just scattered thru out electronics and all had white price tags,ps3,360, and wii(about 60 or so).The endcap didnt really have anything except for SWTFU2CE at 55.98. The ps2 where clearanced out to 89.xx. Im really perplexed by these white labeled games and am wondering if they'll end up in clearance.Wanting the Pikmin! Anyone else seen these?
 
Is there anything special (besides the obvious that it's a SE/CE) about the MvC3 CE people have been reporting on here? It's not on clearance is it?? :)

It's definitely not on clearance. It's a pretty good deal as far as CE's go though, $70 for a steelbook, $10 worth of dlc, $10 worth of marvel online, and a mini comic. Bought it on release day at 8am.

Also it's sort of rare, went for $130 or so on release day. Now only worth like $80 though.

Ah cool thanks. I've seen like 3 (in total) at two different targets so just wondering. Personally I'll just wait to see if they do a "Super" and if not wait for a price drop.

I noticed that Capcom Re-printed the Limited Edition for both X360 and PS3 so i think the value will come down.

Note it is a "special edition" not "limited" edition, so I can't fault Capcom for reprinting it. Not that anyone seems to care about what it means to call a game "limited" anymore. ***cough Nintendo Super Mario cough ***

Where are you seeing that they reprinted this? I haven't seen it in stock at any B&M stores since release week and it is NOT being sold at any online retailers except Amazon where it's being sold by 3rd party resellers at more then retail

The capcom store just got restocked, maybe he was referring to that. Doesn't mean it was reprinted though.

I stopped at a Target yesterday and they had a bunch of PS2s on clearance for $70 also.

$85 at my store, definitely a clearance and not price drop. So $70 might be the 30% clearance point.

As noted, saw the DJ Hero 1 (game only) on clearance ... but what made it notable is that there are actually MORE copies on the shelf than were there last week.

I had to laugh. The first time I know of a clearance game actually having more copies on the shelf week-after-week. :)

what delightful news - just traded in my old phat ps2 for almost $50 at gamestop. wouldn't mind picking up a slim for about the same.

Maybe not the game, but the gun it comes with might be nice if you have a Move Controller and play FPS.
 
Gainesville, VA store had several copies of DJ Hero PS3 for $12.48, one DJ Hero 360 for $9.98. Both were 75% off, but they had different MSRPs.

Got the last The shoot for 9.98 bucks at Cleveland OH. Also found EA MMA for 19.99, both consoles. I almost bought. will think about going tomorrow again
 
hey question: what is targets return policy on clearance video games?? Im thinking about scooping up two copys of Black Ops Prestige edition for 360 and parting them out but wanna know if I have a way out if the prices arent right.

90 days with receipt, sealed. Without the receipt it's only store credit, and can't be over a certain amount (I think $70), so don't lose it.

And wouldn't that make you a flipper?

I only want the maps. And Im selling to buddies. Its mainly the people who (there was this guy on a different thread today)

my total purchase was 43.32 and amazon trade-in locked at 45.62.

and their policy includes clearanced stuff. Im fine with it if there is a drop but I dont wanna have to take a 15% loss just because

If you're asking about return/rebuying after the prices drop, they technically don't allow it for clearance items. You may get lucky though and get away with it if you find an employee that doesn't know any better. If you just want to return without rebuying you would be fine.

EA MMA new MSRP is $19.99. That was not a sale or clearance price.
 
I played for an hour and it is very hard. It is more intense than I expected. Worth the 20 bucks I think. It has a story behind it.

This is what I was thinking. Apparently the Capcom store had major issues delivering on the preorders for MvC3 SE. I was wondering if this magical "reprint" was just leftovers from people who canceled their orders or that Capcom finally got the shipments into the warehouse.
