Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

No you are not. I got mine for $40 and if I knew I would of ejoyed as much as I did, would of bought day one just to get a couple more play throughs.

That's what I tried to tell my friends about Demon Souls. At any price, that game was worth it to me.

I also saw Singstar and a couple other games that look like that /come in boxes with external parts for a system but didn't check the prices.

I should also add that my Target now has 3, yes 3 clearance areas for games. There is the standard one on an endcap a couple aisles away from the electronics department. The store also put a large stand right next to the clothing department with games on it, it is 2 sided and stands about 8 feet tall. It's like the annoying things they have in the electronics dept only taller. This has the larger clearance games (think Tony Hawk Ride and Singstar) on a shelf under it, and stacks of games under it, in single boxes which maybe? are going to enter the clearance cycle. The stack of games I saw was mostly Marvel Super Hero Squad...but they lacked clearance stickers and were priced at 29.xx

I just had this debate in store. For now, I'm waiting for 50%. Knowing that it sometimes takes Target months to drop further I might get antsy and eventually cave.

I'm waiting. My target put clearance stickers on the back side of them and stacked them back inside the case. No shelf label. Unless you ask them to remove one you can't even see that it's on clearance.

If they were on an endcap I'd probably still wait however... $70 is not much of a deal for a ps2 IMO. It's all downhill from here price wise... probably will end up like the gamecube (way more stock than potential customers for years to come).

The inventory tracker doesn't seem very accurate. It says that my local store has no Dragon Age Origins Ultimate Ed in stock but the store actually has 3-4 for each system for the clearance price.

Running into the same problem, I checked Black Ops Prestige as a test and it said none were in stock anywhere near me when numerous stores actually have it in.

Also when does the next mark down occur? Could I check before heading into work or does it not happen until this afternoon?
 
Finally saw some games on clearance at my Target. My friend picked up :ps3: DJ Hero (game only and last copy) for around $12 I believe. Besides that, saw multiple copies of :ps3: DA:UE for $34.98. We both picked up a copy since clearance games don't usually last very long at that Target. (However, here's hoping for a chance to rebuy/return.) Besides that, also seen a few guitars on clearance and Halo Reach Legendary Edition as well.
 
After I picked up DAOUE for :360: $34.98 other day, I remembered to dig out the copy of the original DAO for the :ps3: that I never played. I was thinking about trading it in either at GS or BB (because BB is offering $15 gc's for it).

But I noticed that the game had an insert for both Blood Dragon Armor and to "Unleash the Fury of Shale".
There are separate codes for each. The problem is, according to the insert, the codes allegedly expired on 4-30-2010.

Any ideas if these codes are still good? Would love to help someone out if they want them and aren't going to cause me bad karma by flipping them on someone knowing that might not work...
 
Found my first store today that is clearing out the PS2's at $70. Will probably bite if they make it to $50 or less just to avoid using the PS3 for my old PS1 & PS2 games.

No other VG finds but did get the NERF Vulcan ebf25 gun for 11.82 (75%off). Store must of had 30 of these out on the floor. DPCI #087110159

Found DA:O UE (PS3) for 34.98 , DJ Hero (Disk only - PS3) 12.48, and Need For Speed Shift (PS3) for 9.98. Not bad, but would like to get DA:O cheaper if possible.

Anyone know where I might be able to find the Turntable for DJ Hero for cheap?

I actually am looking forward to playing PL for shits and giggles. It trades in on amazon for like $4 so it's a free rental.

DJ Hero 2 is tanking in price so keep your eyes peeled. I've seen it as low as 40, and I'll jump when it reaches 20.

Saw Pacific Liberator (Wii) for $3.74, but Cold Stone Creamery (Wii) was still $7.48 at the two stores I went to.

Most are posting that its still $34.98...was it marked at $12.48 or did it scan at that price?
 
Found a bunch of Move games, I picked up most of them. I got:
The Fight
The Shoot x5
Mel B's Workout x2
all for $10 a piece.

Let me know if any of you guys want them. If not I'll be returning them at the end of the week, I have no need for them but I thought some people on here might want them.

IF no one wants you can flip to amazon for a nice margin on those. I know flipping is frowned on sometimes here but it's better than returning them for el hoardo to get later.

In the Chicago area, I got a PS3 one in November for that price ... and one for the Xbox for that price in January.
 
My Target - Copaigue, NY - has 3 copies of DAO still for $34, I checked on the scanner, but I'm waiting for a drop as I'm only partly interested (started Star Ocean, White Knight and Nier this week). They also had 3 of the Toy Story PS2s for $69 in a glass case under the PS3 working model, you could see the stickers. Also waiting for $50, if GS takes my PS2 phat trade-in.

Whoever asked Pete about the $50 PS2 phat trade-in at GS I'm assuming he used last weeks email to Powerup Rewards members giving an extra $25. I'm going to try it tomorrow, the email date says it runs through Sunday 3/6.

I'm a little perplexed on this one. It sound like your store has already marked it down to 75% off their list price. I checked 2 stores in my area and they are still selling for 79.XX. Apparently, others have found the bundle for $19.XX as well. I don't know why my stores haven't started putting these on clearance since they follow the clearance cycle for most of the games on the first page of this thread. Any ideas on this one?

Only one target near me put this on clearance, the others havent yet. Depends on the team that does markdowns at each target.
