Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Grabbed "Sin and Punishment" for $12 and "Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles" for $9ish.

Surprised at the number of clearance games still there late this afternoon. I can only assume people are only buying what is being advertised as specials or as brands they see in ads. Lots of Glory of Heracles DS, Band Hero, still some Resident Evil Wii and PS3.

Grabbed Lego Harry Potter and Dragon Quest IX at their sales prices. Missed out on Prince of Persia Wii.
 
Checked today before going to work. A lot of stuff is missing but the clearance section is still nice. Got someone a PSP GO for christmas so I picked a couple accessories on clearance for them.

Same here..... my clearance endcap was full. I think possibly parents or people searching for games are equating that clearance games are the sucky games.

But hey...at least it worked to our benefit! :)
 
Good news here as well. I checked 3 Targets on my way home from work and was very surprised to see all clearance looked untouched. This Monday is looking promising with no drops anywhere around here last Monday.
 
i stopped by target at around 8 pm to check it out.

shit was in complete disarray but i noticed a few games remaining from last week. thankfully the high prices kept all the bf people away and they will drop further next week.

i stopped by walmart and target thinking everything "died" down....not even a chance.....i stopped by to see if there was anything worthwhile.....i can only imagine if at 7pm the crowds where still there...what it was like earlier.....

Two weeks ago, there were two legendary edition at ~$75 at that Target. I presume it would be gone by today considering it was black friday. Best time to check for new clearance in Memphis is on mondays at least for me.

Yeah I'd check on Monday instead, but I'm headed back home to Austin, TX and our severely weak Target clearance endcaps on Sunday (am up here with my girl's family for Thanksgiving). Does any one location here generally have lower prices sooner than the rest?
 
I'll be heading by Target soon today. Didn't go yesterday because the WalMart closest to me (we have two right near me) was so empty they had nearly everything still in stock (even most of the TVs...only a few were sold out).

Target's heavily advertising it as a "two day" sale so we'll see what's up today... I still want PGR4 but hesitant at the $9 mark since it's about $9 shipped on Amazon.

Can you please clarify what this means? I'm not trying to be a jerk but I don't understand what you're saying. Something was so sold out they have everything still in stock? Are you being sarcastic or did you type one part of that sentence incorrectly (and if so, which part)?
 
Checked my local Target and looks like everyone bought up all the RE5 gold copys for $~20 along with everything else..about 2 clearance games now lol.

Plenty of clearance at two of three Targets I checked during BF. It was just out of the way enough at each one that they were mostly ignored. Snagged the last copy of Just Cause 2 (PC) for $10. The third Traget removed all its clearance games from the sales floor. The employee mentioned that when I asked him where it was. My guess? To prevent theft. Last BF at that store, I found 4 or 5 copies of clearance games with empty cases when people did the slice and swipe, since the store was in such chaos from the flood of people and employees were too distracted trying to deal with the locusts to watch for shoplifters. It's sad if it comes to moving those goods off the floor just to prevent a few ne'er-do-wells from being douches.

PapaSmerf had it right...

The STORE hardly had any shoppers, the parking lot was only about a quarter full (it's fuller then that on almost any average day) at around 8:30 am...and again around 3pm. They still had most of their BF promos in stock...only a few things were sold out.

ANYWAY, went by my Target and they still had a lot of stuff too. Obviously the big ticket items were gone but they had two FFXIII's left so I picked one up (rented it a while back, wouldn't pay full price but for $17 I think it's worth it for sure). I had PGR4 in my cart...again...as I have many times already but I still just can't make the purchase at that price so hopefully it drops this week.
 
Going to avoid Target for a few days before I go to see what's left on clearance. Will more then likely just go about usual day to see if price drops but, I don't recall there being anything note worthy.
 
Managed to find a single copy of Mass Effect 2 :360: in the horribly messy clearance section at the Webster Target yesterday afternoon for $13.98. But I didn't buy it...my 4 yr old did, to give to me for Christmas :D
 
Checked a target today close to me. Still a lot of clearance stuff there to my surprise. Thought they would have been cleared out.
 
The Target I went to had a decent amount of clearance games. I found Topico 3 at $14.98 and would definitely buy at $7.48. I need to start checking my targets more as clearance seems to have picked up. The only Target I've been checking is the one a couple of miles away from me and they usually only have shovelware. I would really like to pick up Uncharted 2 at 75% off.

I also noticed that Target seemed less busy than usual. The first one I went to was packed at opening but I went to another one around 8:30 am and it seemed like any other normal weekend shopping day.
 
Saw plenty of clearance games at the two stores we went to today. We ended up finding a Wii(207-25-0001) for $139.98, so that was good.

Thought I'd mention that I found Endless Ocean: Blue World on clearance at the Glenway Target (Cincinnati, Ohio) for 7.99. I grabbed the only copy. It does include Wii Speak. Good deal!

Wait. Fable III CE is actually being clearanced at Target? I thought it was just a typo in the OP. I'm confused by the $27.98 price in the OP, though. The MSRP for Fable III CE is $79.99 so what percentage off is $27.98?

*edit* I know 27.98 is 65% off of $79.99 but as far as I know, games are clearance at 30/50/75% off. I've never seen a game clearanced at 65% off. Am I missing something here?

In Houston I rarely find target clearance deals, probably because they get snatched up real fast. Yesterday they had a ton of red sticker items like Dragon Age Origins for 14 and change.

Then maybe he shouldn't have asked what percentage off is 27.98 from 79.99? Seems like he was looking for an answer there. Nobody will put the effort in if we just provide them answers all the time.

Saw Borderlands 360 GOTY for 29.98. I don't have an xbox, so I am not sure if that is good or not, but it had a clearance sticker on it.


EDIT: Yes I am sure it was the GOTY. I already bought the add on pack for $3.48

Curious, has anyone saw the "Endless Ocean: Blue World" on their clearance endcaps? Funny thing is I purchased the first game which was fun but I noticed that it has become a sought after game from collectors. Is it really that difficult because geez...they had many of them on Target clearance.

I wonder if they do the price-downs today or on Monday....

@eau: The fact you fond Uncharted 2 for under $10 is awesome! The fact that no one picked it up when it was $13.99 or $14.99 (or at that price) on Black Friday is surprising.
