Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

Much like the ASIN location website replace the DPCI # at the end of the URL...

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Had five of them on the clearance endcap. All marked $9.98. I assure you... it's the Ultimate Edition for $9.98. I was just as surprised. Considered grabbing all of them, but it was too good of a deal... and I wanted others to have a chance to grab them. This was at the Stephenson, VA store, outside of Winchester.

Let me check my trashcan for the receipt. If my wife hasn't changed the garbage, it should still be in there.

Haven't seen a PS3 game drop that low in a while. Nor have I seen much clearance at our Target(s) in a while.

I've been watching 5 copies of Dragon Age Ultimate 360 at Target, marked at $29. Was hoping for $15, so I grabbed tonight when there was only one left. Marked $29, rang up at $14.98. Nice.

Guess I should have explained better..my bad...When I pulled off the slip cover the game was the regular edition of RE5. I took it back and grabbed the other to show them what I was talking about and how the covers were very different etc etc...They let me swap em out.

I've been watching Richmond Targets all week for price drop on dragon age ultimate edition for 360. Today is the day that most of the targets in my region drop to $15, and all the 360 versions evaporated. I bought the LAST PS3 version for a friend (already have origins on PC), but I was really hoping to snag a 360 version...
 
I'm behind on pricing, picked up the following

$25 - Fallout 3 GOTY
$15 - Borderlands
$15 - GTA IV Episodes from Liberty City

Might only keep Fallout, others seem like meh deals. For trade though if someone wanted.
 
The holidays certainly did a number on my local clearance section. Of note though, WoW: Cataclysm Collector's Edition for $40.04.

Been waiting on the DA:UE drop as well. Checked my 2 Targets. One is where I usually get everything as it's away from the rest of the stores, but they were down to 1 PS3 game and about 10 Xbox games total. Headed towards the other and they still had 4 DA:UE, but still at the $29.98 price point. Will try back tomorrow or Tuesday to see if the drop occurred.
 
I will definitely be checking the clearance in the AM. I'll post early if I find a DA:UE change. I'm east coast, so it should give some of you a little forward info, even though, as always, target is YMMV.

You guys are lucky. My Target has Dragon Age: Ultimate in the clearance section, but it still scans at full price. Apparently its only "discontinued," not on clearance like the other games. Stupid YMMV Target
 
my buddy just picked up a DA:UE PS3 @ $14.98. so stupid that it's that low, is this a mistake on target? do they not understand what the UE is?

picked up sin and punishment for 12.48 at skypointe target in vegas.
saw but did not pick up: glory of heracles 7.48 and band hero game only 9.98. (should i have picked these up?)

All my vegas people, whats the update in your areas? i'm tired of wasting gas looking for random sale games.
 
rip to my clearance sections at Target, saw 10+ sin and punishments on Sat, only saw 3 today, same goes with left 4 dead 2, it was at $14.95 with 5 there on Sat ,now just 2.

I should pick up the games i want tomorrow or it will all be gone.

I haven't heard it being on clearance before at Target.

I gave up on understanding the clearance reasoning a long time ago. I just want to see one of those DAUE's in one of my local stores
 
I've been occasionally stopping into my local Targets for the past few weeks and there have been nothing worth mentioning. Either because the store haven't dropped the prices or everything is gone. Ugh.

I was in Target last night with my siblings from 11-11:45. Anyways an employee left one of their "guns" in a basket full of stuff. I picked it up and started using it. Pretty cool system. I checked a couple of DPCIs and looked for any in the stores around me, unfortunately none of the stores had anything in stock (or "on hand.") One item I checked, LBP/DS3 bundle didn't even come up in their system.
 
Checked Target last night. Had a few copies of DA:UE for both systems. Unfortunately still marked at 30 bucks. I'm wondering if it's worth my time to go check again this evening. I'm not sure if I even want to fight the traffic and the crowds to check.
 
The Target in Hawthorne, CA has one last copy of Fable III CE for $19.98. It's in the PC game section behind Where's Waldo? Good luck.

haha. it always amuses me when someone post that they just grab the target gun and start using them.

Well it was almost closing (midnight) and there was no one to be seen. It was just sitting there. :)

It was pretty cool. It had a color touch screen. I was expecting some old school monochrome calculator looking thing.

Not much you can do with it though. If you had the portable printer and knew what you were doing though you could do some damage.
