Previous threads:
Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs
123-45-6789

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The website for locating clearance titles by their DPCI # is here: Find In Store

Much like the ASIN location website replace the DPCI # at the end of the URL...

(HUGE PROPS TO aj slick FOR GETTING US THIS USEFUL TOOL!!!)

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell:

No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Last week a ton of Red Steel's at 19.98. This week, all gone, but the other clearance was decent at a lot of places. Just not anything I'm particularly interested in. Saw:

:360: Bayonetta 41.98
:360: Backbreaker 9.98

Some other junk for DS and Guitar Hero 5 :ps2: but I didn't bother to look at those prices.

Saw more $10 Band Heros and $12 Van halens along with 1 Green day rock band (360, $9.98) in Colma, CA. Still hoping to find a Fallout 3 GOTY for cheap

Bayonetta was $41.98 clearance at my Target as well. Don't know how the hell that's a clearance price. I did pick up Green Day Rock Band for $9.98.

Found :ps3: Fallout 3 GoTY for $12.48 at the Little Rock, AR store.

I also noticed that most of the Christmas stuff was 90% off, so I wound up spending about that much on ornaments, wrapping paper, ribbons, gift bags, tissue paper, and mint chocolate. The trunk of my car is stuffed now.
Snagged a :ps3: Fallout 3 GOTY for 12.48 today. Thanks gang.

Curious tho, is there a decent amount of early 2011 releases lined up? I ask cuz my Target's plastic prisons are only about half full, at least for ps3, and the gaming section is looking pretty barren all together :whistle2:s
I assume that has to do with the Christmas shopping. It will probably take some time for them to re-stock the shelves, even if it is just with old games.

I also noticed that most of the Christmas stuff was 90% off, so I wound up spending about that much on ornaments, wrapping paper, ribbons, gift bags, tissue paper, and mint chocolate. The trunk of my car is stuffed now.
You got lucky then. When all the Christmas stuff was 50% off, I told myself to wait a few days for the next drop. I planned on grabbing practical stuff, like the extension cords and power strips that I can use every day. There were literally over a thousand power strips, from the top to the floor, in at least 5 sections in the holiday aisles, including a couple fully stocked end caps. So I go back 3 days later, and I thought I walked into a different store. It was a new "value" extension to the grocery part. No signs of anything Christmas anywhere, it completely vanished. The $1 stuff in the front is now Valentines only, and there are bathing suits all over the clothing sections. Yeah, it's currenly 12 friggin degrees outside right now and we have a fully stocked bathing suit section. So long story short, every Target around here packed up the X-Mas and will bring it out next year at full price.

Anyone seen the PSPgo cradle and soft case clearanced at any SoCal Targets? The only two Targets that carry the cradle around me sell them for full price at 29.99.

This.

I say bring it on though, just means more clearance to be had once the early 2011 releases drop.

Picked up Little Red Ridding Hood BBQ (DS) $3.98, Ages of Empires: Mythologies (DS) $3.98, Red Steel 2 Bundle (wii) $9.98, Dragon Ages: UC (360) $14.98 and Dragon Ages: UC (PS3) $14.98, Swords (Wii) $7.48. Still have few more Clearance games on hidden. I'll be back next monday hope it slashing down extra $5-$10 more :)

Probably depends on the size of your store and honestly the stuff most likely just got shipped to a bigger store near you that has had high traffic for the Christmas clearance section so that they can clear it all out. Every store near me still has SOME christmas stuff, but it is all down to 75% and there isn't too much left. Although ironically the piratical stuff, as you described it, was in good supply.

I'm actually very surprised at the amount of clearance stuff still around after Christmas this year. Last year Target was a clearance waste land for a couple of months.

I also forgot to mention with my last post that I saw Blood Drive for $12.98, but it was an online return item not clearance. Additionally found the 4 pack of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies, also online return, for $8. Snapped up the Turtles movies. :)

Jeeze, nice scores. Aren't you in SoCal? If so, what store(s) did you find the Dragon Age UC's on clearance?

Does it matter? He hides the games. Better hope you dig them out of the young boys tighty whiteys he hides them under.

Lol, you found one too? I went to Target late last night, something I never do, and found it in a cart with other random movies and games. It was also $8.16.

Some DPCI's that are missing in the op:
207-22-0371 :360:NHL 10
207-22-0441 :360:Iron Man 2
207-22-0563 :360:Borderlands GOTY

207-20-0386 :psp:Lego Indiana Jones 2
207-20-0408 :psp:AC Bloodlines

 Well, I'm assuming he didn't hide more of the DA:UC since he bought 1 of each. If he was flipping/hoarding I'm sure he would have bought them all instead of waiting for further reductions because at $14.98 it's 75% off and most likely the final stage of markdowns.

It seems that "online returns" have a default price they go to in the store, so it's not horribly surprising that two of them got returned and were being sold at the same price. Def couldn't resist so many ninjas for such a low low price. My nephew geeked out when he saw it and got all excited, I told him I didn't think he was old enough to handle Vanilla Ice yet (Secret of the Ooze cameo). He responded, "Who's Vanilla Ice?" and I just laughed and said, "See, told you." and he got all sad cause he thinks I'm serious. I love messing with 7 year olds.

Another update I forgot to mention:
:360: Lego Indiana Jones: Original Adventures - $4.98

keeping up with the PSP UMD titles (sorry for no DCPI, honestly thought someone would have already posted it..)

:psp: Motorstorm Artic Edge - $10.98

You're assuming, of course, that the store(s) still had any additional copies left other than his hidden ones . . .

Nah...I'm just hoping it was a SoCal location because every Target near me has it in stock but at full price. Thus if that store was out of clearance copies I'd just do a full price purchase at another store and return/rebuy, or attempt to at least.

Just hit target.

Scanned with hand scanner:

Metal Gear Solid 4 19.99!
Borderlands GOTY 360 and PS3 39.99!

The kid was surprised and said "they must have gone up because I know that borderlands was on clearance".

AC figures, tees still at 9.08

Thanks for the tip I'll take a look next time I'm in the area.

Picked up a Fable 3 LE set for $19.98! I was looking out for this at a lot of Target stores and never found it. Then I walked into one and there it was on the shelf with the price of $55.98 still on it.
I picked up :360: Alpha Protocol for 7.48 yesterday in Marion, IL.
Were there any left? That's where my cousin lives and that is the price he likes to pay for games (I got him a 360 for Christmas.)

 That's funny.

My little niece comes over about once a week and sometimes asks to watch some of my TMNT DVDs (original series). She's gonna be surprised to see the movie this week :D

saw it today when i stopped at target...passed on it tho

Picked up Red Steel 2 w/motion plus for $9.98.
DCPI 207-26-0586.

I saw some of the stuff previously posted and the Harry Potter Lego DS gamw with Potter stylus for $20.98. Sorry forgot the dcpi.

If anyone is able to pick up an extra Red Steel 2 or Punch Out for the Wii please let me know, there's none here at any of the Targets in Denver area :(

The Target I went to today (Clifton Park, NY) had 2 of the Little Big Planet/Dual Shock 3 combo's but they weren't listed as on clearance but I got them for $14.98. The moral of the my story, it doesn't hurt to check the price on them even if they aren't labeled as on clearance. Happy Hunting! :)
Wow I really need that Arctic Edge, I hope I find it. Anyone willing to trade it or sell it if I cant find it?
hit me up on pm.....

Dont think the price is nationwide, but that is a great deal considering the controller priced $30-$50 alone. :applause:

Is it the regular edition or the game of the year edition? The regular edition was last years model and GOTY edition is this years model. Just asking so I can go check...It would be great to find it at that price.

Has anyone in the Phoenix area found Dragon Age Ultimate for $14.98? If so, could you tell me which store? I've only been able to find them for regular price and I was hoping to try a return and rebuy. Thanks!

Which store did you look at? I'm going to the one on 7th and Bell either tomorrow or Friday to see what deals they have.

I almost had that problem here in NorCal. Fortunately, two stores were out of stock, and the price scanner at the first one confirmed the clearance price.

I bought DA:O UE in my local store. They had to get if from the back (they're all in the back around here). Then, on the way home from work I did a same-day return at San Jose Landess and asked if they could reverse the charge on my Visa and put it on my gift card instead. I didn't mention the price difference to keep it simple, but I was getting worried when he rung it up without saying anything. At last he explained I still had $5 on the card, because it was cheaper now: $14.98

Thanks for the info, coren.

The whole "reverse the charge on my credit card and put it on my gift card instead" seems pretty smart and might be a good return/rebuy method, provided it doesn't raise any red flags in the mind of the employee doing the transaction. Not that I'd know how you'd even try to scam Target or your credit card company, but it just might sound fishy to an employee.

Picked up:
Wii: Red Steel 2 w/ motion plus
PS3: Fallout GOTY
X360: Borderlands

All for prices already posted.

Will probably return Borderlands.

Red Steel 2 and Fallout is super slick.
Doesn't the PS3 Fallout have bugs?

Went to Target for random items I needed, and checked out the clearance area for electronics. Nothing but random ipod cases and other random things. NO GAMES WHATSOEVER. I remembered though that they had some red steel 2's with motion plus bundles clearanced out that were placed underneath the game cases a while ago. I went to go check and sure enough, there were 2 marked at 27.98. I scanned one and it scanned 9.98. So I picked one up.

The boxes for the red steel 2 bundles were in horrible shape though. And it had that stupid spider alarm thing.
