Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

If you like the color gray, you'll love Fallout 3.
 
Grabbed GTA Episodes From Liberty City for 7.48 (X360).

Pretty much all they had was the 1 copy of that, and a bunch of assorted Rock Band and Guitar Hero games.

I checked out the Derby, KS target because the item finder said they had low availability of the LittleBigPlanet Bundle with the extra controller. They were out, and everything they did have (Beatles RB, Resistance PSP, Pirates Wii) was more expensive than the prices others have been reporting. Can't win them all.
 
Saw a copy of Liberty Episodes for $20.xx..will check again and hope for $7.xx
Bought Lost and Damned, and never finished, but to get the Ballad would be fun.

My target just restocked the clearance rack with a huge amount of games, although they are mostly bargain bin kiddie garbage for wii and ds. Lucky find on the dyson. Most stores probably sold out when it hit 50%.
 
My local BBV is closing and i was wondering if once the liquidation starts what can be expected. Instance, will prices go up and then they put a percentage off or will there be any good titles to purchase if not sold in bulk to some other company. Either way im going to be there,just wanted some CAG info.

It means the item is out of their system. If you return it, they can't sell it and will have to send it back.

Stopped by Target today. Pickings were pretty slim - a few PSP games at $13.98, AC Brotherhood figurines at $9.08 (picked up both versions), and AC Brotherhood black t-shirts on sale at $9.08.

I actually patrol the Goodwill's around town and never see them there. I wonder what they do with the games in our area, because I have asked and no one seems to know.

I could really use that Dyson, our vacuum is a Dyson wannabe and is pretty much worthless.

Returned DAO Ultimate since I had a feeling I would forget to keep track of the return, and also because I dont know if I would ever get to it this year. I still have Fallout 3 GOTY sealed from Sears when they did the $20 clearance. That right there is 100+ hours of fun.

Chances are either the managers get first crack at stuff Target donates and it never makes it onto the sales floor OR they put it up on the ShopGoodwill auction site.

Picked up a Halo Mongoose toy with a Mark V Spartan included for $4.97, down from $19.89, 75% off I guess. Wanted the Ghost vehicle because it'd be more appropriate. Seeing as how I enjoy running others over with it in Reach.

haha sorry. let me clarify. I found one game (left 4 dead 2) and it was the clearance price (found on the first page). However, Assasin's creed was not priced the same way. Sorry if the question was unclear.

Target clearance pricing varies by store and is YMMV. The list in the OP is a general guideline for what's out there, not a definitive statement of what you'll find. Sometimes the clearance prices will be different, and sometimes items won't be on clearance in your store at all. It can, as you're seeing here, vary by item.

That being said, did you actually scan the copy of Assassin's Creed, or did you just go by what is on the price sticker/shelf tag? Sometimes clearance games don't get marked properly, but if they're in the system at a lower price, you'll get that price at the register.

Short answer, clearance prices are not the same at every store.
 
Yeah i knew it seemed odd. I had them check with their portable scanners. I didn't get to see the price so I was just wondering if they saw the price and wanted to buy the last copies for themselves. I guess some dropped and others didn't at the store. The AC shirts were still 6.98 at my store. Oh well.

Yeah, because of that, it's best if you can scan it yourself at one of the self-service scanners (or, if the scanner has the ability to enter the DPCI, do it that way). If you have to ask them to check with the portable scanner, don't say "Is this on clearance?", say "Can you tell me the price on this?" That way, you've asked the question in such a way that they have to give you a real answer.
 
Yep, unfortunately everything is in a big case so I have to have them scan it. The employees seem pretty cool though but they already told me they buy up what they want when it first goes on clearance...you win some you lose some. I'll just print the bar codes out and scan them next time. Thanks for the help.

B&M stock checks via the web are often behind by several hours up to a day or more. In-store stock checks are mostly realtime. It depends on the chain. No stock check accounts for theft. Given the quantity I would guess they were all purchased before you got there. Some people buy in quantity, if not to sell or trade then for friends or gifting.
 
Novato, CA Target went from their Clearance Section disappearing to magically reappearing.

A couple of PS2 games and Trauma Team ($27.98?) & Bayonetta (Xbox 360) @ $41.98.

Went to 3 Targets yesterday in SD, and those were the same prices. Naughty Bear was there too.

The PL one did have Backbreakers for $7.48. And a last copy of Imagine School Trip for the same price, which I bought.

*Edit* The Backbreakers at $7.48 might have been remembered incorrectly, but it had been there at ~$10 for a month or so now, so maybe not. Also, since it's not in the op (not that anyone else is going to buy it) is:

I went to the Target in Champlin MN. yesterday and they had 1 copy of Dragon Age U.A. for $14.99. I did not pick it up.
