Previous threads:
Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs
123-45-6789

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The website for locating clearance titles by their DPCI # is here: Find In Store

Much like the ASIN location website replace the DPCI # at the end of the URL...

(HUGE PROPS TO aj slick FOR GETTING US THIS USEFUL TOOL!!!)

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell:

No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Mine has a SB6120 marked as re-sealed for $63. Tempting, but I've heard my cable provider doesn't always play nicely with these.
No I meant without the games included, just the vehicle alone..
To my understanding, the car is not sold separately, only with the bundle.
To my understanding, the car is not sold separately, only with the bundle.
I know that with this video game product it is not sold separately, but what I am asking is are there toys like this made you can get and how much they normally(or On sale) cost? Do anyone know so I can kinda figure out if it's worth how much? At Target or Amazon I looked, but didn't see anything like it.
I've held back on posting this, but Christmas season is long gone now, so that can't be it. Target clearance is dead (for games) here.

My normal Target end-isle rack hasn't had a video game in it since before Dec. Thumb drives, iPhone covers, heaters, Tai-bo videos, Assassin Creed: Brotherhood shirts, all right next to full price video game normal isles. I've found games in here before, even at $7.48 rarely.

My backup Target has actually taken away the clearance end-cap in electronics. Nothing is labeled clearance on normal video game isles. I just can't seem to find it anymore, I looked everywhere.

Is this normal for Target to have a 3~4 month dead period? Or am I just not looking hard enough to find the hidden clearance goldmine. Employees are not at all helpful saying that "clearance items are scattered throughout the store"
I think this is normal. I spoke to an electronics employee a few weeks ago and she said they were completely wiped out of clearance items at Christmas. She said they wouldn't have any more clearance stuff until around Easter. All of the stores I've visited recently had little to nothing in way of clearance.

I know with my Target a lot of the stuff that is bulky and doesn't have a place on the planogram ends up getting backstocked until it either goes on clearance, someone asks for it and we pull it from back, or some decides to make a spot specifically for it. I know my Target has a WoW Cataclysm CE in back that I haven't seen on the shelves EVER. Next time it makes its way on to the floor will be on clearance most likely.

I know a lot of people were seeing SC2 CE's coming out of nowhere since they didn't think their Target had any.. a lot of the time they just didn't see the light of the sales floor to being with until they hit clearance and HAD to get put out.
Updates today:

SWFU2 CE PS3 and 360 - $56
COD Black Ops Prestige 360 - hanging on at $128
Dragon Age Origins Ultimate PS3 and 360 - $35
Saw almost the exact same, but one store did have COD at $107. Still too rich for my blood.
Manage to find a store with The Shoot and The Fight at $9.98 each. They also had a PS3 copy of Black Ops Prestige for $109.xx.
I haven't seen those at all, for $10 I'd try The Fight.

Supposedly it is pretty good. Critics gave it bad reviews, but users seem to give it pretty high reviews.

Metacritic users rated it between 7-10 and on Amazon it had 4 stars. I was really thinking about keeping it, but I didn't want to buy another motion controller.

Target on Fulton and Alta Arden in Sacramento:
Dragon Age Ultimate for Ps3x5 and 360x2: 35.xx
Star Wars TFU2 CE on PS3 x2 : Cant remember the price
The Shoot PS3: 9.98 picked up the last one
is Dragon Age Origins Ultimate worth the 35 bucks?
Depends if you like bioware and western RPGs, to me it is, however there's a good chance it could be going down a couple more cycles and be $10 like it was 2 months ago for some people. There's A LOT of game there. Dragon Age 2 comes out in a week and a half though.

Grabbed Get Fit w/ Mel B & The Fight: Lights Out for PS3 for $10 each.

Sidebar: Also saw some interesting, Nintendo-related toys on clearance, so I bit on:
Super Mario Figurine Collection (Mario) - $8.99 (not sure if this was on clearance, but it's on Amazon for $13)
Super Mario Figurine Collection (Yoshi) - $8.99 (not sure if this was on clearance, but it's on Amazon for $10)
[207-00-1031] = Yahtzee - Super Mario Collector's Edition - $3.74 (was $14.99)
[207-00-1030] = New Super Mario Bros. Wii Collector's Puzzle (550 Pieces) - $2.48 (was $9.99)
P.s. I don't think there is a thread for Target clearance Nintendo-related toys, so I'm putting it here for anyone that cares. Enjoy!

Found a GT5 CE bundle today for the reported price of 69.98. No clearance sticker but it did scan at that price. (check OP for the DPCI)

Glad I picked it up as it was the only copy there and now that I had time to do a inventory check, no store around me has any copies in stock

Also, wondering if this is really considered clearance since there was NO NCF designation on my receipt. Pricing pattern seems right, but I'm just so used to seeing NCF on the receipt

There was still one copy left of MvC 3 CE left for the PS3 at the Salisbury, MD store as of late afternoon today.

Oh and there was one Bayonetta left for the 360 "clearanced" at $47.xx, lol...it was in the normal case too and not in clearance.

I was at work today and decided to go check the clearance section and to my surprise found 2 copies of Oblivion GOTY. They scanned as OOS but I found another team member with a gun, which found the last price to be 7.48. I have no clue where these were found, but they must've turned up somewhere from the remodel. They almost seemed to be squished somewhere. You could see marks from the CD holder on the back of the case, but I'm not complaining. Rather happy actually as I was looking for these a few months ago, but they disappeared at $15.

I was at my Target several hours ago and the majority of the games there on sale was a shooter for the PS3 called "The Shoot" for $9.98. I wonder if it's worth it.

There are only 2 Marvel vs Capcom 3 SKUs for each system, correct? (The standard game and the special edition that comes with the steelbook and comic).

I've seen some at GS's but not at Target. I've read people around here call it a C.E. but I've googled Marvel vs Capcom 3 Collector's Edition and the Special Edition comes up. It's foolish of me, I know, but I would like some clarification :D

Similar thing happened to me. I didn't see this game for weeks and then one day it just appeared again for $4.98. Maybe it was a return but I was sure to pick it up. That's a lotta content for $5!

I saw a bunch of Mel B and I was going to flip them, but the TIV as of this post would have me breaking even and my cash is really low right now, so had to pass.

No, it's not.
Most people bought it to flip.
That has nothing to do with the game being worth $9.98.

I think the game is well worth $9.98.

It's probably worth it to play it and give it a shot but not to flip it.

i picked up for 19.99 a few weeks ago I just won a ps move bundle from sony so I wanted some stuff to play on it also got the fight lights out both pretty fun games.

You could buy it and sell it to bestbuy for $14. you'd make $4 per, which is about a 40% profit.

Definitely worth it. I wish I waited for it to drop to $10, I bought it at $27 as part of a Move Bundle deal at Sony, but it's certainly worth every penny. I'd pick it up soon if I were you. For example, there was a stack of Mel B move ps3 games priced at $10 at Target, they all disappeared less than a week later.
These $10 Move games move fast (pun intended). Be thankful they're not advertised in the weekly ad, else they'd be gone in seconds.

To my surprise, I found a lone copy off buzz quizz world for 29.98, in the toy clearance section (video game section is on the other side). Grabbed it, as I really wanted to get some wireless buzzers, and I hadn't seen one in a long time.
Didn't want to chance it - 50% is good enough for me.
Also saw (but didn't grab), in video game clearance section: for PS3: SW:FU2 collector for 55.98, a bunch of Guitar Hero Van halen for 35, a couple of DA:UE for the same, White knight Chronicles for I believe 25, and a few Mel B for 10.
Some DS games, a few copies of DA:UE for XB360 as well. Sorry didn't pay too much attention, only have a PS3.
(Target at 101 and Frank Lloyd Wright, in Scottsdale)

Hmm didn't think about Best Buy. I would never trade to Gamestop because I hate them with a passion. Let's see if there's any copies left when I go to work today. Thanks for the tip.
No, it's not.
Yes it is, but it is good trade value after you're done with it.

Now, The Fight, not so much.

Grabbed the only copy of "The Fight: Lights Out" at the Bloomington, IL store. Didn't see anything else that good.

I was able to find an Assassin's Creed II comic book for about $1 and an ACII action figure for about $2. Needless to say I grabbed both, hard to say no at those prices.

One of my stores had 2 GT5 CE's, but both were a little cut up by the security wires. Doesn't seem to be worth much over $70, so I passed.

Mt. Laurel & Marlton, NJ had the Transformers Autobots (DS) for $9.98. Marlton also had one copy of Trauma Team (Wii) for $9.98.

Just a non-electronics/games FYI, there are some nice small 3 drawer things in the home office section. They are supposedly for scrapbooking, but i find them good for organizing receipts and papers.

They are around $16-$17 iirc at 30%, and they are well built for the price.

dammit the 3 PS3 Black Ops Prestige at this one store all disappeared today. I was going to buy one and try to return/rebuy when the price dropped down to 50% or 75% off, but I was too late :bomb::wall::cry:

My only hope is to pray that somebody else had the same idea and I'll be able to snatch it up during the return. If it was soccer moms who bought them, then I'm out of luck!

2 copies of The Shoot and The Fight were both available at the North Druid Hills Target in Georgia.

There are a couple of Black Ops Prestige as well.
