Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

Much like the ASIN location website replace the DPCI # at the end of the URL...

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

1) If it's store policy it's not fraud. I tend to think a company as large and successful as WalMart knows what it's doing, they know people "take advantage" of it and still allow it. For exchanges they come out even anyway.

"What's Walmart's No Receipt returns policy?
Walmart's No Receipt policy applies to items returned in a store only. You have the option of a cash refund (for purchases under $25), a Gift Card for the amount of the purchase (for purchases over $25) or an even exchange for the product. We also follow any manufacturer's warranties. You can make up to three No Receipt returns within a 45 day period."

Just got back from Target. DAUE is still $35. Also saw Resistance 2 GH pretty beat up for ~$8 and Kung Fu Rider for $10.

But the best find was Hannah Montana The Movie wii for $10!!!!!!! Suffice to say I picked up three copies.
 
I'm astonished at the ebay prices being quoted here for that Bl-Ops DLC. I thought $15 was overpriced for a map pack. People are really paying $50+ for that DLC token? Isn't Activision eventually going to put that on the marketplace for $15 so it's available to everyone?

Makes me glad I don't care about COD multiplayer...

I don't think the original DLC from the Hardened/Prestige edition of black ops will EVER be available for purchase from PSN or Xbox live

I saw Star War F^ck Up II CE for $55.98 and DA: O for $34.98 (both 360) when I was out of town over the weekend.

On a side note, I picked up LittleBigPlanet PSP and ModNation PSP on sale for $15.99 each. After I left and went home, I found out that the damn cashier rang them up as 2x LBP on my receipt. I wasn't sure if I wanted ModNation but seeing it's the last day it's on sale, I bought it first. Now because of his screw-up, I'm stuck with ModNation. I hate it when employees screw up and it's customers who pay. I guess I could have gone back to that store to correct the problem, but it's not worth driving 150 miles round for it.
 
haha, that metric crap-ton of :wii: Cold Stone Creamery: Scoop It Up! may have hit $3.74 for some of ya'll. I went ahead and picked it up just out of principle of a cheap ass game :D Also snagged the last Kung Fu Rider the store had for $9.98.

When I returned my gift I was even completely honest with them, I said that I'm not sure where she got it but I think it was Wal Mart. They told me it doesn't matter, they take returns without a receipt regardless. Call it fraud, but it's their store policy so think of it how you will. If they cared they would use their store codes for returns and not the barcodes. They even say that they honor manufacturers warranties...I'm not sure how far they take that though since it contradicts their return policy on certain items.

I'm not here to argue and I'll try not to comment on this anymore, but obviously it's a fine line where "morals" border store policy. I'd be curious to know the true morals of people who look down on something like this though because in the grand scheme of things I bet most of you do far worse on a regular basis. This is not a philosophy board though so I'll cut myself off because I go too far (probably already did).

There is no fine line. You even admit it's wrong when you advised people that to pull it off, they would have to not mind being "dishonest". I am very confident that contrary to your claims, the vast majority of the people on this board are honest and wouldn't stoop to the kind of deceit and blatant fraud you are encouraging. If they did, most stores probably wouldn't accept returns at all and many retail chains would be out of business. Walmart's store policy is to help legitimate customers who just lost their receipt. You are committing fraud by lying to them about the source of what you are returning when you know it's not Walmart. Stop blaming the victim here and take some responsibility for your own actions.

No my problem was with people acting holier than thou and swearing at me for even suggesting it. While it is being dishonest (if you lie, I pulled it off without even lying), again, their store policy is to do so, and any thing else you're adding onto that is only implied, not stated. I only ever did it a second time because the first time I did it I honestly wasn't sure and they told me it didn't matter where I got it. Does it even say in their policy they only accept returns purchased at WalMart?...I will change my sig to reflect I was wrong if so.

This is the internet, and this is CAG, so it's a double whammy of people who jump on others cases and act like saints when it suites them. Just drop it, I will go back and delete my suggestion and other posts.
 
the glorious stock checking page finally let me down today - it shows "available" for DAOUE at a store so I had an employee look it up and apparently the stock number shows -1 (as in they sold all of them and at least one was stolen).

he could've been lying to me, but it all looked legit enough (and I haven't seen a copy on the floor there for months).

also, crazy that the DLC for black ops sells for so much. the AC brotherhood preorder codes and halo flaming helmet are the only ones I've seen for more (in my limited exposure at least).
 
I picked up a couple of :ps3:Dante's Inferno Divine Edition for $9.98 today. I thought this was new but checked the op and it was a drop from October 2010 :shock: Also, picked up a couple of Kung Fu Rider for $9.98.

I tried looking for a Halo Reach Legendary but it seems they are all gone; the price is now $37.48 at a couple of stores I checked today.

Anyway, I came in to report that Black Ops is $74.98 before I saw his nonsense. I'm not risking the drop to $37.50 since there's only 2-3 per store around here.

I've been looking for Dante at my local Target SE michigan but it still scans at $19.99 They still have 2 copies of SSF IV $14.98 and 4 copies SWFU 2 at $54.xx
 
I finally did the Monday morning check, but there were no drops. DA:UE still $35. BO:pE $104. I did get Trauma Team @ $10, because it was the last copy.
 
In case anyone's interested, the Austin, TX Target on 183/Ohlen had one BO:pE at $104 and a bunch of the Wii ATV Quad Kings game/controller bundle for $9.xx.

The store in Irving, TX (along MacArthur Blvd.) still have 1 360 version priced at $74.98.

There isn't, only on advertised sales.

Return-rebuy is also against policy.

You can however simply return the item and come back after it's been put back on the shelf. But you run the risk of an employee buying it up, and it's hard to gauge when it will be restocked as they do it randomly throughout the day.

Only other option is to buy a second copy and use your old receipt to return it, but you can't do that obviously.

Go buy the copy for $74.98 and then walk to the service desk and return it with the other receipt.

They wont do price adjustments, but you can purchase and return.

Picked up the last Prestige edition for 360 at the La Verne Target in Southern California. It was marked down to 74, so southern cali stores are following suit.

No price adjustments?? I'll call my store and check...who knows, it's worth a shot. But I got it for the $104 price and sold the stuff inside for about $90 total...so I didn't come out too bad, but still...
 
Any GT5 CE's in Georgia? The DCIP doesn't seem to be working for it on my browser and I'd probably drive to pick one up if there were any out there.
 
Went by today and still no drops with the "Dragon Age set", still at $34.98 for both PS3 and XB360. Still plenty of the Mel B and The Shoot at $9.98.

Weird....

My target had Black Ops Prestige for $74.98 but Halo Reach Legendary was still $149.99 and Kung Fu Rider was still $39.99 and naughty bear was at full price too (I can't remember if it was $39.99 or $49.99).

I'm also waiting for Buzz! Quiz Tv bundle with wireless sensors to drop. It's in the clearance end cap but has been sitting at $59.99 for months.
 
decided to give naughty bear another try for $12.xx. I had it when it first came out, played the first level and knew right away it wasnt worth the $40 I paid for it and sold it.

found the last Prestige Edition in my area thankfully, got the steelbook and game for free(after selling extras). Sweet! Hoping they drop Rapstar again soon to the magical $20 price point.
 
DA:UE disappeared from the store I shop in. Was hoping for a drop from the $35 price they had for the past two weeks. Picked up a Dante's Inferno for $9.98 but found a really bad crease on the slipcover upon leaving the store but was in a big rush. Looks like the OCD in me will likely cause me to go back to exchange it for another copy if there's any left come tomorrow. Dang those plastic cases they put their games/movies in.
 
Found Dante's Inferno (PS3) for $13.98 and Marvel Superhero Squad (Wii) for $9.98. They had 360 Black Ops Prestige for $74.XX. Also, a bunch of Wii Disney games. This was in Lemont, IL.
