Previous threads:
Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs
123-45-6789

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The website for locating clearance titles by their DPCI # is here: Find In Store

Much like the ASIN location website replace the DPCI # at the end of the URL...

(HUGE PROPS TO aj slick FOR GETTING US THIS USEFUL TOOL!!!)

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell:

No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

quick question does the scanners on the end caps ring the right price as the pos? my sims and little league baseball rang on the scanner 19.99 each for ps3. the place was to busy to check on the pos.

I have a question and was wondering if I could get some help here.
I was just at my target and saw the 250GB Elite Final Fantasy XIII bundle but there was no price on it. Is this on clearance? Figure it might be worth picking up for the right price. Thanks.

Best way to check is to just ask an employee for a price check. Since these are all YMMV deals, you could be missing out on a potential deal simply because somebody elses target doesn't have it on clearance. Doesn't hurt to check.

Manufacture in New Zealand

Creme Eggs were manufactured in New Zealand at the Cadbury factory in Dunedin from 1983 to 2009. Recently Cadbury in New Zealand and Australia has gone through a restructuring process which has seen production of most Cadbury products previously produced in New Zealand now produced at Cadbury factories in Australia. The Dunedin plant has had a $69 Million upgrade to become a specialist factory, specialising in boxed products such as Cadbury Roses. The result of the changes means that Creme Eggs are no longer manufactured in New Zealand or Australia but instead imported from the United Kingdom. The change has also seen the range of Creme Eggs available for sale decreased.[2] The size also dropped from 40g to 39g in this time. The response from New Zealanders has not been positive. Complaints have included the filling not being as runny as the New Zealand version.[9] The result has also seen various Facebook groups started in protest to the changes
This. The middle is totally different. I even think the chocolate tastes off.

Where are these protest groups, i want to join them! I thought at the very least that the ones in Europe were the same. I know the US distributiion rights got bought by Kraft a few years ago. I thought THEY were the ones behind the change.. i guess not? This really pisses me off, i used to love these things, now theyre pretty gross. Strangely enough the mini eggs still taste pretty good.

Anyway a warning to anyone who sees these in the clearance bay.. they fucking suck now

Grabbed a xbox 360 60GB starter kit for $25. They also had a copy of Assassins Creed 2 (PC) for 7.48 but passed on that. Thanks for the updates.

The DPCI on the site is not the same as in-store. This one will work in-store or if you paste it at the end of this

Heh... I'm eating clearance Tic tacs right now. 50 cents well spent
Honestly the clearance games at my target are always picked over before I even read this tread

I just saw about a dozen copies of Samurai Warrior 3 for the Wii 12.47. i didn't think to grab the DCI number till just now though sorry. I will probably get out again later this week.

It's already been in the OP. Most had it for that price about a month ago and is gone now, but one person said their store dropped it past 75% to $7.50.

Got Final Fantasy 4 Heroes of Light this evening for like $12.98 at the Millerville Target in Baton Rouge. It looked like the only copy, but maybe the clearance price has gone down (as it's lower than the wiki price on the OP).
Hey pjb what else did they have? I'm going by there tomorrow night. Thanks
Where I looked was pretty slim pickings. They had like Assassin's Creed 2 on PC and nothing else that I remember. Maybe I was looking in the wrong spot, but usually they have a bunch of games that have no interest to me (like Bakugan DS and Mel B's Fitness for PS3) in the same endcap.
I'm new to this Target thing. Is opening on Monday the best time to go?
It's pretty YMMV for every store. Opening is probably the better time to try and check, but what day of the week (and even whether opening was the best time to go) is pretty random. Target is the untamed wilds!

Holy crap. Saw Left 4 Dead 2(Xbox 360) yesterday priced at 50% off (14.98). They had around 200+ copies on the shelf( I started counting them out of curiosity and stopped at 200). I couldn't believe how many were there, I've never seen that many of one clearance game before.

Is this a new clearance item? I didn't see it in the OP, but maybe I missed it.

If anyone is curious it's the Target on Pomerado road in north county San Diego.

Edit: Just found it in the OP where it's listed at 7.48. Wonder how fast they'll get rid of these at 14.98? I'm guessing not very soon.

Just came back. Nothing new there from what I saw Last Tuesday.

A lot of Targets don't update first thing in the morning though, I know even when I go around lunch time they're still updating stuff sometimes. Plus lots of times I get mid-week adjusts too, on either Tuesday or Wednesday.

Grabbed a Vizio 6ft hdmi w/ Ethernet cable 008000121 for $11.24 this morning. A couple others dropped but none of the 2 packs did.
Also nabbed a Batman DC vinyl bobblehead for $.69 087060607 in the Easter clearance.

The northside Indy, Castleton, and Fishers stores have been absolute shit the past 2 Mondays. The 4 I freequent went into a full overhall of the actual electronic aisles 3 weeks ago and ever since nothing but overpriced hdmi cables, ipod and Ipad cases, and hardly any shovelware for any system.

I've only stopped @ one thus far today and saw 3 of the DLPs for 89.98 each. Scanned one just in case it hadn't been tagged yet. Seriously thinkin bout takin a hiatus for a month or two if this shit keeps taking place.. Complete waste of time.

Ultimate pick up today. Got the Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Special Edition on PS3 for 17.48.

It was the only copy left just sitting in one of the middle cases that hold multiple games. I remember someone saying that they saw the SE on clearance, so I had an associate scan it because it wasn't marked, and when she said 17.48, I bought that shit with the quickness, lol.

Also got Borderlands GOTY for 20.XX on PS3

Grabbed the last two copies of FF 4 Heroes of Light at Northlake Target, all set for a 13 hour flight to Taiwan! :)
Question is, will my DS Lite/DS Phat batteries go for that long? I bought the Powermat receivers for DS Lite clearanced for $8 each, but I have no Powermat charger, lol.

Don't they have AC outlets on those longer flights?

Turn down the brightness a bit and you'll be fine. My DS Lite used to get about 15 hours since the sound and brightness were both turned down a bit. That, and it's unlikely that you'll be able to play 13 hours straight!

I was looking for the cheap TomTom bean bag to go with the XXL 530-S that I picked up 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately, it's all gone. Instead, I found and picked up a Geomate Jr for $17.48. It got a red tag of $48.98 on it but scanned at the lower price.
You can type the dcpi in the scanner and see if it lists a location. If it says "Backroom: Yes?", then they are in the back and an employee needs to pull them.

If it says "No", then it should list an aisle location.
Thanks man. I stopped by today and asked one of the employees to check the back for me. Another nearby employee knew instantly that I was referring to the Legendary Edition and commented how it was the big box and how he was going to buy it.

The first employee checked for me and was unable to find it. He was very friendly and seemed to genuinely want to help. Hopefully he wasn't just saving it for his bud.

There are 2 copies of FF HOL for $12.48 at my store. I don't own a DS and I don't see a good flip for this price. Is it just a good game and that's why everyone is picking it up?

Copaigue Target had 1 copy of FF: HOL for $17 (on sticker and I scanned it) so I left it and 3 of those projectors for $44 (originally $180). I remembered somebody above was waiting for that price on those. Nothing else though, very empty section.

Off topic but I noticed the Wiis only had the $199 price where the $169 price was. Did somebody take the yellow price card down by mistake thinking it was a 1 week sale price?

Thank you for your thoughtful and insightful post.

The game has a 73% on gamerankings. I was wondering why everyone seems to be picking it up. I thought it was a legit question.

Those of you who are seeing these BrightBoxe projectors, could you post the numbers for them and/or PM them to me? Just got off the phone with Target and somewhere there said he couldn't find it in the system and asked me if I knew 'the numbers'.

By the way, if anyone is interested in the BrightBoxe projector and want to research it on YouTube, it is the same as the Optoma PT-100.

If someone could PM ME the numbers, as I don't check this thread a lot, it would be appreciated.

Thanks!

if it's at all like the 360 version, add 1 to the regular version's in-store (not online) dpci to get the SE dpci.

Found the Nintendo DS Lite (silver) marked down to 50% off, $64.98. Pretty sure that was a fresh drop this morning. They had three other color DS Lites also in stock, but all were still full price.
