Previous threads:
Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs
123-45-6789

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The website for locating clearance titles by their DPCI # is here: Find In Store

Much like the ASIN location website replace the DPCI # at the end of the URL...

(HUGE PROPS TO aj slick FOR GETTING US THIS USEFUL TOOL!!!)

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell:

No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.
I went to Target in League City, TX today and bought Sly Collection for 14.98 and Killzone 2 for 14.98. They also had Vanquish for 14.98. I was hoping to find Resistance 2, but there were none to be found. There was at least 1 copy (no more than 2) of each of those left.
Lol, I found plenty of Resistance 2; but couldn't find a Vanquish for less than $20 :(
Who was it who used to say things like, "Gonna wait for it to go on clearance"? It was SuperJedi, or something, I think. Frickin' A. I hope he's not from Texas.

Just kidding.
I remember him. It wasn't that he'd say "I'm gonna wait for clearance", he would berate other people for buying it at MSRP. Along the lines of "DONT BE A SUCKER! WAIT AND IT'LL DROP!!" It got really annoying.
......................... MvC3 CE FOR 360 WAS $35? *explodes* I paid double that, even if it was in gift cards. You Texans, and your luck.

Any Long Islanders (New York) here know of a Target with a good clearance section? All of my local ones are absolutely awful. The titles either aren't on clearance, or there aren't any copies. I'd settle for knowledge of the Goodwills Target dumps their clearance, as well.

Post below is not helping my love of Texans.
I remember awhile back when some CAGs posting getting MvC3 CE for cheap. I thought these were all sold out at my local Targets because I never saw any in the plastic prisons. Magically, 1 copy emerged from the backroom this week and the next night I saw another copy.

Picked up on Monday the Rockband 3 Keyboard bundle for PS3 for $42.xx after tax @ the Carmel Target @ 116th and Michigan. Only copy, but did have one of the Xbox though it was priced at like $55.xx. Saw a bunch of games I hadn't seen ever before... but not for good prices, I don't think. Many copies of the Elder Scrolls Oblivion GOTY for $15.xx, MAG and Vanquish for $2x.xx. Also saw Sly Collection for 25.xx I think. Sort of interested in the Sly and the MAG, but will wait it out.

There was two MvC CE (360) at the Charlotte, NC location on Albermarle rd. $34.98 each.

Went there mainly for the EA Active 2 (360) for $19.99 but all they had were a ton of PS3 versions.

Target by the Menlo Park Mall had just about all the good ones mentioned recently except for Sly which is what I'm looking for. PS3 Rock Band Keyboard bundle for $30 was something that stood out as a better price than most

I've been seeing the same stuff as everyone else. Some good prices but not really anything I want or don't already have. Oh well, I'm just excited to see the games are back.

guys whats the website u all viewing? 1st time posting here. thanks..

cant find links.. would be great if some1 could share sites that also deliver internationally..

I went to Target yesterday to grab Kirby on sale and ended up spending a lot more than I wanted.

Voorhees, NJ had 2 more copies of MvC 3 CE after I grabbed on, a few copies of Sly, PS3 Vanquish and a big stack of Madden 10 for X360.

I also got a copy of Kung Fu Riders for $10 because I'm stupid like that.
guys whats the website u all viewing? 1st time posting here. thanks..

It's not a website, everyone is just walking into their local Targets and posting what they find there. The prices are only valid in the store, so you're out of luck if you don't have a Target near you unfortunately.
Anybody else run into an MVC3 SE that was missing its slip cover?
I've only seen 2 copies here. Both had spider wraps on them so the cover slips were slightly damaged.
Picked up :ps3:Resistance 2 the other day for $9.xx, it was the only non-greatest hit version one on the shelf out of all the others. No red box for me!
I got one too, although it seemed at my local store, they were all regular boxes with a Greatest Hits sticker slapped across the top front border. They had around 8 copies too.

Stopped by Target last night and put in all the numbers for the games-
Nothing in stock or on the shelves.

This morning they had two copies of each title (Mag,Sly,Split,Monp, Vanq,Kung,BFBC2) at 50% off.

Grabbed Vanquish :360: for $15;

Don't remember seeing them mentioned on here yet, but they red tagged Aragorn's Quest DS & PS3 for $10/$20

picked up a copy of vanquish for the same price this morning

Picked up the Sly Cooper Collection for $14.98, but will see if next Monday it drops further. $7.48 would be awesome.

Also, found the Goldeneye bundle for $29.98 but passed. Hoping it will drop further next Monday as well. Didn't get the DPCI number unfortunately.

34.98 $29.98
Goldeneye Bundle (updated 5-26-11)

I've updated the OP to reflect this, as well as removed the extra DCU Online listing.

Karkyco, which Los Angeles store had it for 14.98? And did they have any more copies? I checked my OC stores and nothing.

I got the last copy - it was the "Los Angeles" store on La Cienega in the ghetto (where the old Fedco used to be that was looted during the '92 Riots - see vids below.). I also saw it for $20.xx at another store. For anyone who's interested in it, I'd recommend hedging your bets by buying it at $20.xx and trying to get it price adjusted later if and when it drops further (and hopefully doesn't go out of the system). Also, given the cost of gas, driving around from Target to Target to try to save the $5 isn't worth it IMHO.

Just came back from a different Target. Picked up Vanquish on the Xbox for $15 and Sly for $20. I couldn't wait for Sly with my horrible Target clearance luck. Might pick up MAG later. That I can wait for. Resistance 2 was there for $10, but I couldn't justify with the 1 and 2 re-release coming soon. (I have 2, just don't have 1, and I know a friend that enjoys the co-op so I'd like to hook him up with my old copy eventually.)

The online inventory check says "limited availability" for MvC CE on the Xbox at many stores near me, but I've tried two them this week and still nothing.

Haha, I hate going to that Target (the entrance always smells like urine), but I'll usually stop there on my way to the one on Jefferson. Picked up :ds: Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days for $12.xx and :ps3: SSFIV for $14.xx. I've only seen the Sly collection at $22.xx at the La Brea Target.

Where did you happen upon the KH 358/2 and SSFIV?

Nearby Target looks like it buffed up with games. I picked up Vanquish for 15 bucks. Saw Sly Collection for $20 and Kingdom Hearts 3295072350892735/2 Days for $12 or so, but passed on them. Also saw SSFIV (ps3) for 20 or so.

Was hoping for Resistance, but only saw Killzone 2 for about $20.

The one on Jefferson. Unfortunately they were the last copies.
Also saw the Goleneye Wii bundle with controller for $40 or so.
If anyone's interested in that, BJs has the bundle for $27 (using a coupon found in-store).

It was in the clearance section at my Target.

For those of you looking for kh 358/2 and resistance 2.

I saw both (bought kh) at blockbuster in their b1g1 sale for 9.99 each.
Might be worth a look if you have one near you!
Where did these mvc SEs come from? They werent even on display recently and now two popped up at my target.
Probably the same place the Halo Reach Legendary's and Bioshock 2 LE's came from (meaning I have no clue).

I imagine they weren't on the planogram and therefore employees would have had to find them and put them out themselves. Happens a lot at Target.

Picked up a MVC:SE at the Spectrum for $35, but debating whether to keep it or return it since another edition is being released. Is it worth $35? They also had 1 Sly and Vanquish for $15. I was surprised to find these deals at the Spectrum since I hardly ever find anything good on clearance.

Also saw MVC3SE for $35

Also saw Sly Collection for $15

Am I overlooking the MvC DPCI for PS3? I keep seeing a lot of 360. Also, if a new one comes out, can the other get a $15 upgrade like SSFIV?

Does that mean the "limited availability" stores I'm seeing using the online tracker mean they might magically show up eventually at my stores? I punched in the DCPI's and got the usual "N/A" for in the storeroom and on the floor. And of course, I have not been able to find them physically at two stores I tried this week.

Would love a cheap copy of the MvC CE.

I'm guessing you got the 360 version of MvC? If its the PS3 one I"ll buy it if you are going to return it.

Dammit. I found that ice cream maker from way back when that was 75% for $15; That being said the sticker said $30 and was no longer in the system (salvaged). I had someone scan it with the wand to confirm that $15 price but the supervisor would not sell it to me at that price! The "best" he could do was for the current sticker price. F THAT.

Awesome find today, some of you may recall my PSP core bundle score from a little while back that had a different upc which made it ring up as clearance price of 34.xx. Well I held on to it for a while trying to decide if I was going to keep or sell it. Finally decided to open it tonight and to my surprise I discover that it actually was the LBP and Karate Kid bundle packaged in a core box for some reason. Very happy with my decision to keep it now :)

I just realized that my MVC3 SE doesnt have a slip cover, I was just so exicted that I didnt even realize when I bought it. Now Im wondering what happened to it...
