Previous threads:
Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs
123-45-6789

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The website for locating clearance titles by their DPCI # is here: Find In Store

Much like the ASIN location website replace the DPCI # at the end of the URL...

(HUGE PROPS TO aj slick FOR GETTING US THIS USEFUL TOOL!!!)

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell:

No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

I would check my local Target more often if it wasn't for the fact that the pricing ladies get first dibs on everything. Even though it's against company policy, they always jumped on all the good stuff.
My local Target had RUSE for 4.95 as well and a bunch of DS games.

I picked up RUSE and Lego Rockband DS for 4.95 each.

Also, the Duracell rechargeable battery packs were on sale for Xbox 360 and I believe Wii controllers.

Picked up the Duracell Gaming Power charging dock with 2 rechargeable battery packs for $27.96 original price was 39.99 - still a bit pricey but I guess I will save some money in the long run.
Those battery packs may say Duracell on them, but they're utter trash. After buying a set for the Wii, they stopped charging properly after the 3rd time.

Buy real Duracell rechargeables, and stay away from those special packs. The regular 'AA' rechargeables can be used on any controller, which makes these unique designs even less appealing (besides the fact that they're garbage).

CAGs in Minneapolis Area need to check out the clearance in Excelsior & Hwy. 100 Target in St. Louis Park, MN.

To be found:
(All for DS)

Kid games for $9
Spectrobes for $3.74 around 5 copies I left a bunch of copies for other CAGs
Picross $9 (One copy left at 7:30pm)

Add me to the the Ruse find at 4.98 and also saw Create for 5.04

And for any new Touchpad owners out there, I saw the official gen1 iPad case for 9.98. May not help with any drops but should protect against nicks and scratches.

One other find was the Charbroil smoker/grill at $50 bucks (50% off). I know that in my area, grills never make it past the 50% drop. They either sell out or get pulled.

anyone know the # for blue DS lites? I know theyre not exactly clearance but ive been wanting to buy one as backup for a while and can not for the life of me find any near me. I see tons of pinks, an occasional red, but never a blue anywhere

Id like to use the lookup to see if theres any anywhere near here

Went back to pick up RUSE and it was gone. Arrgh!!

DJ Star was down to $3.74 for DS, couple copies of Lego Rockband are still sitting and not much else.
I also see it at that price, Im hoping for a drop soon at my local Targets too.
Same here. My roommate and I have been playing the demo of the first and second Ultimate Ninja Storm games for awhile now because I can never find a cheap copy of either.
I can look at my store tomorrow to see if it is any lower. Let me know and I'll do what I can to help.
Thanks for the offer. I'm going to try to catch one of the local copies on its way down. Hoping I can snag one for $9.98.

Grabbed a :360: CSI for 4.98. That's usually my buy price for just about any 360/PS3 game. Left a :ps3: copy there, Elston Ave in Chicago, same price. Keep seeing :ds: Mystery Case Files Millionheir for 4.98 at just about every Target I go to. I keep passing, but for some reason, I think I'll end up with it at some point.

My daughter likes the wii game so thinking of picking it up myself.

Thanks for the info on the Duracell rechargeables. I will stay away from them.

i tried to punch in the dcpi # on the machine, but wasnt working. It wont let me enter the numbers from the right side of the keypad.

Anyone know if marvel vs capcom 3 ps3 ever drop any lower then last weeks price $17.98?

Since that's 75% off, you have a better chance of being hit by lightning than of Target dropping it any lower. If you want it (and they still have it), you better buy it.

Went to Target today and saw a bunch of Wii Mario Kart Bundles for $134 for both Black and White Editions. Good to save $16 bucks if anyone wants it.

On Snenic Highway GA.

Once it drops below 75% it gets salvaged. The only time you will see lower is if the original price itself is changed in the system, which is hardly ever considering why would you change an items price when on clearance?

Oh and on a side note. Local target had sonic freeriders for $7.48. DPCI 207 22 0556

I've noticed at my local Target that some of the machines dont allow manual input of dcpi numbers. It still scans barcodes though, I wonder if the number pad is broken or if they disabled the feature?

And you think bragging about how you stole the deal from someone else who might have wanted it so you can profit a few bucks will earn you praise here?

Someone got lazy at the Target I work at and I was checking the game cases as there was a empty outer case with different games behind and I managed to get the M vs C SE for $17 on the 360 well it asked for a price so I got it for the last price.
It little damage to the outer case as it was NOT spider wrapped.

Found a copy of Megamind for 360...it was $10.51 and marked as a re-package. Strangely it was sealed...maybe it came paired up with a stuffed animal or something??

I did too and got a similar fate. :(

Now I'm still trying to track down an EA Create, and I found one in the locator, but hopefully it can last until Sunday.
Found a copy of Marvel Vs Capcom 3 SE for PS3, not sure what i'm going to do with it. If anyone here is having trouble finding a copy and they legitimately want it(as in not to flip but to actually play), send me a PM.
Come to my town in ny as one of my targets have a tower of them that makes the tower of pizza look like a fisher price toy lol. Why did ea overproduce this game anyway ?

I'm in the same boat as above. Have a copy, but I don't want it. It'll end up going to eBay if I can't find someone here that wants it. I'll probably get more there, but I don't want to deal with fees and all the hassles.

PM me if you have offers.

There are so many of those here, I just wished some place would have them for $5.

Had a bit of a road trip today that just happened to have a couple of convenient targets along the way. Not much out there but I did find
:ps3: Toy Story 3 - 14.98 (DPCI 207-24-0335)
:ps3: Create - 9.98 (DPCI 207-24-0431)
:ps3: DJ Hero 2 (game only) - 3.74 (DPCI 207-24-0424)

Oh and a repackaged :ps3: sony bluetooth earpiece for 35.01

Well, if its in stock then check back to see if they put it on clearance. Better than other stores where you know they dont have any copies in stock.

i did that for zelda for 3ds since a dude here got it for $10 and my store only had one copy so i went every day to check if it was on clearance but when i went one day it was gone so i guess someone just bought it or it was on clearance and got sold.

I found the tritton ax 180 headset on clearance at the lakestreet target in mpls, mn. It was the only one on the peg. It rang up at 41.98 before tax, it's dpci number is 207.00.1080 YMMV about the availabilty of the headphones.

Same. Never play pokemon before and the old gba are overpriced.

The pearl is a sweet price if i can find it

I remember that guy posting pics after he brought zelda for 10. I rushed to every Target I could find as soon as saw his post but I had no luck :(

That's been going on a while here at the Targets that I frequent. Usually there are only a couple that still work for inputing dcpi numbers. Some have been beat on (number buttons missing etc.) while others appear to just have the number pads disabled.

And now with some of the stores going thru remodelling to add on the grocery parts etc. I noticed that they have replaced the scanners with DCPI input pds with newer ones that do not have the number pads on them any more so we may be moving back towards printing up UPC bar codes for clearance of interest and having to scan these pages - boo!

If they're clearancing those out maybe they'd do the surround ones too. Been looking for a good deal one decent surround headphones since I want to move by "nice" tv back into the living room but don't really want all my speakers down there.

If you have this months BBY @gamer mag. There is a $20 off any triton headsets. They seem to always put the items on sale that are in the magazine. Just a heads up.

I'm not really looking for the sale as I got the DX11s for $59 a couple months back when they had it on sale with the coupon stacking. But they have Bren having some really good sales when they have coupons for the item in their mags.

Picked Up Pokemon Pearl for 75% off $8.74.

I think some of the DS lites are on clearance.

Metallic Silver is one of them 64.98

I believe Metallic Rose will be too. Both are marked NSF or whatever they put on clearance.

The only thing new at mine was :ps3: MX vs ATV Alive for $19.98. :ps3: Legend of the Guardians was down to $7.48. If it goes to $5, I'll bite.
