Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Snagged Lego Batman for 360 today for a whopping $2.54 (they had two of them and I honestly thought it had to be an error, but it scanned at that price). Odd thing, it was the game's first markdown (no other stickers), straight from $19.99 to $2.54. Weird.

Was it a clearance sticker or a "as is" or some other sticker? Could have been a manager markdown as well.

Standard clearance sticker. Two brand new copies, not an online return, repackaged, etc.
 
Spotted multiple Sony blu ray players $100 before price was $150. Will keep my eye out for this. I didn't get a chance to look at the DCPI.

There were also some nice HP wireless printers on clearance around the $50-$70 mark.
 
Not much in the way of games, but the Cisco Flip video cameras were knocked down in price. Picked up the 4GB version for $26.21. DCPI is 056-14-0550 if anybody's interested.

Also had lots of HDMI cables ($15 for a 12 foot Belkin) and HP wireless printers that are hovering around $70.
 
I saw a triton headset yesterday at my Target for $41.98. I'll check again tomorrow morning to see if it has dropped in price or is still there if anyone wants it for cost plus shipping. Just let me know. Other than that, clearence was a crap shoot. I wanted to check for new stuff this morning as markdowns for games are done at about 10:15(predictable employees) but my job decided to be an idiot and kept me from spending my money.
 
For anyone in the KC area that's interested, there's 6 - 8 copies of mlb 10 the show :ps3: at the overland park south target that are on the shelf with a last price of 4.98. They're zeroed out in the system now, but you should be able to get them for the last clearance price.
 
no games this week, picked up some cool sony headphones for $7.48.. they were $30, cool yellow and black color. they sound good on the ipod

if you can get it for 30 or less. i'd say go for it. i've used them for the past couple days now and they work and sound great for the price (aside from the noise/fuzz when there's no audio). they're very comfortable. i've used them on average 2hrs a day. covers entire ear, has a soft padding at top for your head. only connects using RCA jacks. no optical in.

clearance is very ymmv. you can always call, but they'll either say it's not there, but it's there. Or else items can be there, but tell you no, since you've just alerted them on a sweet deal and you'll be SOL. I would continue to check this thread and see what people have seen on clearance at their stores and gauge your clearance items on that (again very ymmv), then make the effort to go out to your store and check it out. you may find nothing, the same items or something totally different. sorry, but that's the only way. hope that helps.

EDIT: Found a pair a little further from my house than my usual store. They were marked $79.99 but rang up $41.98. Picked up Scarface on Blu while I was there and came home to my copy of Red Faction Armageddon via Amazon. Overall I'm pleased wish I could find more deals like this in my area.

I've been checking three targets in my area lately, all I've been able to find is a ton of seasonal CDs and 10 million copies of Picross for the Nintendo DS.

Every now and then I find a PS3 game for the right price. I also bit on the Triton AX180 headset the first week I saw it, I believe I payed $41.XX. The PS3 games I bought are UFC 2010 for $7.XX, Create for $4.XX, and CSI:Fatal Conspiracy for $5.XX.

I haven't gotten around to UFC 2010 yet but Create and CSI are pretty boring, but they're very easy to platinum. BTW, I would love if someone in the Tampa area could let me know if they see MvC3 for PS3. :)
 
Guys, I know you're going to be excited about this but I want you to stay calm. Try to not jump up and knock your laptop off your lap, spit coffee out onto your monitor or injure small children or pets as you rush to your door...

but Target has blank VHS tapes on clearance.

lol, saw this yesterday and actually did a double take, only cause it made me notice that Target still sells blank VHS tapes.
