Man, that sucks. Mine sometimes gets pre-empted by Charlotte Bobcats "basketball".

Wow. I hope Orton goes back to his old music. Maybe this new album will go the way of Aggression, where everyone uses the themes for a month or 2 and then WWE realizes what a bad idea it was.

Personally, I'm a Killswitch Engage fan and like this song way better than his old music. But that's just my opinion.

Just about every Friday, Smackdown here gets pre-empted by Orlando Magic "basketball" as well.

this is the 2nd week in a row, and i think its gonna be this way next week too... i really doubt girl's highschool basketball really draws in ratings, with all the missed baskets, no dunks whatsoever and "thrilling finishes" with scores of 40 to 21? :bomb:

World Wrestling Entertainment has broken all professional ties with Marty Jannetty.

:rofl::rofl:

Storyline?

Marty Jannetty was scheduled for RAW on Monday this week and will now not be appearing.

According to sources, Jannetty once again screwed up at the wrong time.

Jannetty is not expected to return to the company and the angle involving him that was planned for Monday's show is off.

Jannetty had been brought in to enhance the Shawn Michaels/McMahon angle. Jannetty has "battled his personal demons" in the past and was looking to try to redeem himself.

Been gone all day. Repost?

If it is, they're doing a good job of covering it up as none of the news sites have anything on it-- WO has "Marty Jannetty was scheduled to appear again on Raw on Monday in Birmingham, AL, to continue as part of an angle. He was legitimately dropped from the show and the rest of the angle as of this morning due to screwing up at the wrong time. He is not expected back." while PWI is questioning work or shoot as well. I guess we'll find out Monday, and if this is for real, I'd be curious as to what he did to screw up this time.

Worst splash ever. Having him stand on one of those announcer's tables is a bad enough idea, but jesus, the man couldn't jump that far if he was on stable ground, let alone a table that's made to break.

One last parting image for you: Imagine my surprise when I saw who I was sitting next to me for the 15-hour flight from Manila to Los Angeles: “Nature Boy” Ric Flair.
“Ric, this can’t be how you imagined spending your birthday,” I said.
At that point, both John Cena and Triple H independently volunteered to switch seats in an attempt to break up the newly formed Flair-Foley merger. To their mutual surprise, we both declined the request. And to just about everyone’s surprise (including my own), Ric Flair and I talked for several hours. We did discuss our differences, but we also talked about family and politics, with Ric discussing his possible run for North Carolina governor and me discussing my long-range goal of becoming United States ambassador to the Philippines.
Hey, I’ll admit to not being all that comfortable at first. But I did enjoy myself, and I think Ric did, too. That’s good because upon entering United Airlines Flight No. 212 from Los Angeles to Washington, I looked at my boarding pass: 1-B. Who do you think was sitting in 1-A? Woooo!

Interesting. Wish Foley would have gone more in-depth though.

That might be fun to watch only if I could sleep though it.. and the TV turned off too...... which kinda means I wouldn't be watching it then now would it?

dammit... not only does the crappy basketball games pre-empt smackdown, but then they stretch it by another 22 minutes of a crappy highlights... :bomb: :bomb: :bs: :wall: :wall: :censored: :censored: :censored: :headache: :boxing: :twoguns: :twoguns:  :puke: fuck fuck fuck :puke: (there are not enought smilies to express my anger)
Was this years Royal Rumble worth buying on DVD for $15??
The Rumble itself is okay. The rest of the PPV is a lost cause.
Rumors have it that TNA is bringing in Scott Steiner.
Didn't they learn their lesson with Kevin Nash?
God.......why?
Because he gets along SO WELL w/the other boys. Rick, on the other hand, is a really nice guy. Today's lesson, kids, is don't do steroids.

Bumpety bump to remind everyone that TNA Impact (which MIGHT have a prerecorded segment with The Man Known As Sting)* is on at 11 PM EST/10 PM CST tonight.

*My lawyers who just spoke to Jeff Jarrett's lawyers on the phone advise me to warn you that this can possibly be removed out of the show at any given moment if Jeff Jarrett feels like it.

I need to find last week's Impact. I usually catch the Monday replay, but I was out and while I set my VCR to record Raw, I forgot about Impact.
Normal Smiley just jobbed to....

... Jeff Jarrett.
I freaked out when I saw him (didnt know if this was his first appearance, havent watched Impact in a while). Too bad he didnt last long.

Norman has worked with TNA before during the Wednesday PPV era. In fact here's a complete listing of when he was on...

- NWA-TNA Huntsville PPV (Show #1, June 19, '02) = Smiley competed in the Gauntlet For The Gold match, which was won by Ken Shamrock.
- NWA-TNA Nashville PPV (Show #4, July 10, '02) = Smiley was beaten by Brian Lawler.
- NWA-TNA Nashville PPV (Show #5, July 17, '02) = Smiley fell to K-Krush.
- NWA-TNA PPV (Show #16, October 16, '02) = Smiley lost to Ron Harris.
- NWA-TNA PPV (Show #53, July 16, '03) = Smiley was defeated by Edward Chastain.
- NWA-TNA PPV (Show #55, July 30, '03) = Smiley & Shark Boy lost to Simon Diamond & Johnny Swinger.
- NWA-TNA PPV (Show #56, August 6, '03) = In a dark match, Smiley took down Rob Eckos.

Question for anyone who has been paying attention to the actual wording used by the WWE when it comes to Hart's place in the Hall of Fame. Have they ever actually said he will physically be there, or that he is only being inducted?

It's been said that the only payment he's accepting is payment of his transportation for the event, so I'd imagine he'll be there.

Hey, is anyone here going to either of the ROH shows when they come through Chicago (WrestleMania weekend)? I've convinced my girlfriend to come with me, so I'm pretty excited about it....

No, but I will be at the 8/25 St. Paul Armory show. There's not a single match on the card announced yet I am very hyped up since I know that ROH no matter what will deliever a great show from top to bottom. :D

Ha, I'll be there also, front row, baby. Well worth the $40, and it will be my first wrestling show ever. As long as Joe and Cabana are on the card, I won't give a crap who else they trot out there. Hopefully Dragon is still champion too.

Assuming I can make the trip, I plan to meet a friend up there for 4/1 to see my idol Lance Storm come out of retirement. I'll let you know if I do indeed attend.

Oh yeah, I forgot all about that! I wasn't sure of which show to get tickets to, but that definitely settles it. I have no idea how WWE ruined him in his time there...what a shame. :bomb:

Wait, he's coming out of retirement?

On April Fools Day?

Let me tell you already that....

A) Cabana is great!
B) Joe is 10 times the monster in person than he is on TV.
C) The ROH fans are C-R-A-Z-Y! :D

What seat did you end up getting Vanilla? I ended up with Section D Row 1 Seats 5 and 6 (as I'm brining my dad with since its his B-day that week). :D
Wait, he's coming out of retirement?

I don't think the RoH website, as well as stormwrestling.com, would have announced it if it were a joke. That show and the WWE Hall of Fame are both on 4/1. It just happens to be that April Fools' Day is the day before WM22.
Section A, Row 1, Seat 20, I think it is.
I don't know if they set up all ROH shows the same way, but I think it would be logistically foolish to do it any other way. At any rate, each row is 20 seats, so of the bloc of seats you bought (as I imagine you're going with other people) actually is the right end of the first row. The luckiest of you will get to rest your arms on the corner railing, which makes for a very comfortable setting, as you don't have to peek around some wrestling nerd's humpback and visible sweat to see the action; on the other hand, whoever is in *seat* 20 will be close to the third row of the section to your right than the corner of the floor. If I were you, I'd use this advice to plan a strategy to make certain that the person you least like who you are going to the show with ends up in that seat.

8/25, huh? That's a long ways away. I think ROH is having a show in April back in Dayton. #7 for me, I think.

I'll take myke's advice and check out Rollergirls this week. Probably play some Live too. I'll check back to see if I missed anything "sordid".

Nope, I'm going solo. And the seating is subject to the building. I'm not worried at all, I just hope there isn't huge talent turnover by August.

Eek. Look's like Steph's been having cage matches with boxes of Little Debbie snacks lately.

Oh, I thought I was being all witty and shit. I forgot she was preggers. NM.

I don't think so, but that's pretty damn funny.

Not as funny as those poor creatures who say that Playboy is "classy." It's as classy as a t-bone at Ponderosa.
