Target coupon- 5 dollars off 25 dollar purchase
coupon_birthday_toys.gif

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items, or raincheck "scams." Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. Some info from BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include city, state, store, game, system and price. For example:
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs
Super Soup Soufflé, Xbox 360, $4.98

Special thanks to Mephitical for this great tool for locating clearance titles which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

Here is a fairly easy way to check if your local Target has the games on clearance-- often games will not be tagged correctly. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Remember, the lowest known price will be posted since the listed item could be higher or lower at your store. Here are the current deals:

Is the Coleco Game Gear/ Master System game thingie worth $24.98? I was hoping they'd drop to $12.48 but people have been buying it up at $24.98.
i really dont feel like going to target anymore to check for clearance items. been disapointed for the past 2 months now.. i noticed that they send more and more clearance items to Goodwill sooner than before.

if anyone happen to be there, check to see if they still have Guitar Hero 2 for the 360, if they do check the price (they should be out in the open cause they are big). last weekend i went to 2 Goodwills and saw 2 or 3 of them there marked as $70 (i know, goodwill prices these like they bought them or something!). i dont think it came from anywhere else other than Target.
I recently got a brand new Wii remote at Goodwill from a Target (for $10). The reason they donated it was the box had some damage. Maybe those Guitar Hero 2's were donated for similar reasons.

that would probably make sense. probably the same with returns now too. they never threat them with care. they just end up on the shelf getting beat up. the faster they donate them to goodwill the better for their company. cause they could write that off at the end of the year.

they did these alot for the ipod accessories that went on clearance in the beginning of summer. they didnt even wait until they just sent to to goodwill (some of the stuff i saw still had prices, like from $49.99 to $89.99). alot of the boxes though too were beat up, but the inside was totally fine. our hopes of getting cheapass games from target now are getting slimmer by the day.

Tons of toys getting clearanced in Bellevue, WA - in fact they are adding more every day all at 25-50% off. Not a thing in games though.

BTW, Target doesn't donate to Goodwill. They sell to Goodwill. According to the manager of a Richmond area Goodwill store they pay around 15-20% of retail for Target's liquidated bulk deals. I guarantee Target aint giving nothin' away.
at least something

War Rock (PC) - $20.98
TMNT (PC) - $13.98

as for Legos, the only Legos that were on clearance was the Lego Racer Night Crusher.
TMNT should be 9.98 now
Anyone know any targets in the Charlotte, NC area that have any good clearance? I was in the store in Matthew tonight and they had zero, just some HP printers and some out of box stereo systems for only 20% off, even though they came with no box.
Sadly the Targets in Charlotte get nothing good when it comes to clearance items. I stopped caring about a year and a half ago.

I noticed some labels on Target stuff referring to the Buyer ID. It sounds like you are exactly right. Either way, I'm sure it's a tax write-off.

I have found plenty in Charlotte. It's just been dry for the last month or so.

Which one do you go to? The only one I ever hit up is the South Blvd. one.

At Target Greatland in Costa Mesa, CA:

Michael Graves board games 8.98

Oddly enough, the stuff that's on clearance at other Targets is pretty much the same price -here - nothing noteworthy in software or music, and nothing special in toys -- but these games are the lowest I've seen anywhere yet.

B-Wings now seem to be gone everywhere. Oh well.

Not a game, but I've been waiting for the HP all in one printer/copier/scanner F380 to drop under $40 and it did. The local Targets finally dropped it to 39.98, so I grabbed it for Mumsy.

It isn't anything spectacular as far as quality, but it's one button easy, doesn't have to be hooked up to a computer, and will save her time and gas money from having to go to Office Max to make copies of the pictures she draws and her studies she does.

(she's a door greeter two days a week and hands out pictures to the kids. Mum's quite a good artist, really. Always has been. Some of the kids are capitalizing on her work, and using the pictures for cards for their friends at school and their teachers and stuff like that. So this is awesome.)

Considering the all-in-one comes with both HP 21 and 22 ink which are usually $15ish, it's like buying the ink and for $10 more getting the copier thingy.

The one local WalMart here has/had a couple of these LexMark all in ones for a while for around $35-37, but I'm still too much of a cheapass, since I have no real need for one right now.

Anyone know about Target return policy?

I bought a pair of headphones there for $179.99 about 2 weeks ago.

Today I saw that the same headphones are on sale for $161.99.

Can I bring my receipt to the store and get the difference back?

Damn, those are some expensive headphones. Noise cancelling at least, I hope, for that price?

But, like many others would say, simply call your local store when they open, if they're not a 24 hour supercenter.

Yeah, Target is THE store for smoking mutlifunction machine deals.

Whoops...I meant "smoking deals on multifunction machines."

Stay away from printers that use the 4-cartridge "durabrite" inks, regardless of brand. Those things are money pits. Stick with the old style dual cartridges with integrated print heads and you'll be OK.
Anyone know about Target return policy?

I bought a pair of headphones there for $179.99 about 2 weeks ago.

Today I saw that the same headphones are on sale for $161.99.

Can I bring my receipt to the store and get the difference back?
Sennheiser, I bet?

Didn't notice anything electronic this morning, but the seasonal section full of household cleaners, paper goods, cases of beverages and food items went to the 15-30% clearance range.

I would just rebuy them, then return the newly purchased headphones using the old receipt.

No luck on anything game-wise in months... but still scored a couple pairs or their premium jeans for 8.75 and a nice pair of shoes for 7.50

Love the jeans, Id noticed them a year ago, and though if I waited, Id get them cheap... I waited alright, but patience helped when I needed a good ironman watch a few months back and snagged 2 of them at 75% off... loves me some Target clearance sales
Shit now I cant find the receipt! I know its somewhere around here =P.
You don't need a receipt if you bought it with a credit card or debit card or something along those lines. Cash, then you are out-of-luck and you better look for that receipt.

...although I dont know too many people in their right mind who make $200 purchases in cash. Its pretty convenient how they can find the purchase history from a credit card, I just returned something back today and had left my reciept at home, no problem just gave her the card used to purchase.

Yet another nongame clearance item:

Step 2 Wagon for two plus for $15 @ 75% off. Sure beats 60 and it's great for hauling two kids around for Halloween or at the park or whatever.

If you paid with CC, they can look it up!

Not a videogame, but a game nonethless. Found ThinkFun's "Rodent Round-Up" for 1/2 price on clearance near board games @ Target in Monroeville PA, came to $3.98. They also had ThinkFun's metal slide puzzle at 1/2 off, as well as the Rush Hour expansion packs and several brainteasers. If you've played anything from them, you know to stock up!

Picked myself up a pair of those $8.75 jeans as well. Most people don't realize Target has some pretty nice clothes and at 75% off its hard to find a better deal

I work at electronic department at Target and you should have 90 day return policy

I think you misunderstood the question. He's asking about the adjustment policy, which is 7 days.

Tharimratter - You will have to repurchase them and return the older (more expensive pair) as suggested previously. Receipt look-up really is the way to go, just make sure they return the correct ones.

Man, it's been forever since my Target has had some good deals on video games. I did see those Coleco handheld games on clearance. Regular price was over $20 and my store had some for $7.98 and others were $4.98. I didn't look at them close enough to tell the difference.

Picked up 2 World of Warcraft Burning Crusades CE's at one of my local Target's today for $35 each.

Saw those coleco games and was tempted at $8 a piece.

Anyone know what's up with Target clearance stuff? I got some boxers that were 75% off, and I looked at the same brand and size boxers that were just in a different color and they were still at 30%. Same with different size pants and stuff - really odd.

My local Targets have the same random clearance prices on clothing, too. At first I figured it was just bad tagging but I've had various items scanned that were the same in brand and model, differing only in size and/or color. Each would come up at different prices at the register.

It might've even made sense if certain sizes and colors appeared to be less popular and thus cheaper, but if a lime green XXL shirt is the most expensive item in the lot, I think that rationale goes out the window.

Huge surprise today as the Tivoli stuff was all RED STICKERED! Woohoo! 10% off right now, but I prey the Model Three makes the jump to the 30-50% range then I'm getting it.

Let me tell you, I have the model two and LOVE it. The sound is amazing, great for small parties.

It's just too bad Target doesn't have the portable radios they sell!

I also saw the Tivoli audio systems on clearance. Since my audiophile days are somewhat outdated, my first reaction was "jeez they want $299 for radio/cd player". I did some checking online to see that it was a good audio system, but I think it does not support the HD radio standard that will be becoming standard in future. Unlike HDTV, HD radio will not replace the analog signals; so you don't lose an investment if you buy it. If someone knows something to the contrary, feel free to enlighten me.
I know there really hasnt been anything on clearance for me recently at target, but i saw this coupon on SD so i thought it deserved a home here as well:

Its for 5 bucks off 25 purchase, ymmv as always with these sort of coupon
Also of note: It expires this coming Sunday, 9/5/07. The fine print's legibility is a little...well, eh. Definitely YMMV.

Haha, whoops. Well, there you go.

My Target has never had any good (or, rather, noticeable) clearances for quite some time, so it's been a good while since I've walked into one specifically to look for a clearanced game or two. Next time I'm around, I'll see if I have any luck with that coupon,

yeah tell me about it. i think the last deal i tried to find at target was the psyclone psp speakers for $25. i couldnt find it though. i also did try to find dead or alive xtreme 2 but no luck.

some targets now have even less games. i went to one that i usually go to and they used to have alot of older titles still at full price but now theyre all gone. im not sure if they ship to other stores though, or maybe sold to goodwill.

I picked up Warhammer 40K Gold Edition (PC) for $4.98 today. Was there last week and it was $13.xx and Best Buy still sells it for $40.

They also had one copy of the WoW BC Collectors Edition for $35 if anyone is interested.

Found the same thing at the same price at the Target in Lemon Grove, CA. Grabbed the second to last for myself, and my sister's boyfriend picked up the last. Nothing much else to note, unfortunately.

An insane amount of toys moved to 75% off at my Target - basically half the department is clearance as they empty shelves for a new wave of toys. Still no games though except crap plug and play stuff.

I went to Target to pick up the X-Box HD-DVD player for $179.99 but they where still selling it for the old MSRP of $199.99. I just said F* this and went to Best Buy, they need to get their shit together. But yeah, no Clearanced games for a long time......oh well:booty:

Still waiting on my target to have anything on clearence.

The last thing i saw was world of warcraft burning crusade CE at 15%, then a day later i saw it at goodwill.
