Target coupon- 5 dollars off 25 dollar purchase

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items, or raincheck "scams." Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. Some info from BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include city, state, store, game, system and price. For example:
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs
Super Soup Soufflé, Xbox 360, $4.98

Special thanks to Mephitical for this great tool for locating clearance titles which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

Here is a fairly easy way to check if your local Target has the games on clearance-- often games will not be tagged correctly. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Remember, the lowest known price will be posted since the listed item could be higher or lower at your store. Here are the current deals:

Uh, at least the two bold ones are just sale prices, not clearance. They'll go back up in price on Sunday.

Then someone in corporate sees that clearance games are selling well, so they slow down the clearance schedule to try to get maximum profit from clearance games now that they know people are looking on their clearance shelves for deals. Then people stop buying them because of shelves full of Avatar stuck at $35 and someone in corporate decides they need to speed up clearance schedules to get rid of unsellable crap and make room for things that will sell.

That's my imaginary world anyway, I have no idea how it is in reality.

Target stocks SKUs, not games, and SKUs have a limited shelf life, regardless of how well they sell. Once a SKU is scheduled to be moved off the shelf, they want it to be gone to make room for the next round of SKUs.

If u have kids and sink a lot of money into children's toys, this becomes more obvious. Target stocks up on toys for Xmas, wants the Xmas sotkc of toys gone by the end of Jan, and then will often end up restocking the same item a month or two later when the toy in question is scheduled to have its day in the sun per their schedule of of items they agree to sell with distributors.

Any CAGs in KC the Liberty, MO Target store had at least one copy of Blue Dragon for $29.xx on the clearance endcap as of 7:00PM. I don't have a 360 so I passed on it.

I have a question. Are the mark downed games in the case or somewhere else? I looked at my local Target yesterday and found nothing at all. Where do they put these games? I did see an end cap that had PS2 games only that were $19.99.

^^If you don't find them in end caps on the games aisle, try going farther down into electronics, or if uit's the next department over, toys. At the targets over here, electronics/video games are in front of the store but there have been times when I've seen the clearance games all the way down in the back of the store, in the last aisle of Toys. It seems to depend a lot on what games drop. Since Avatar is dropping, there seems to be a higher chance clearance games will go in toys.

At my local store, the games seem to be all over. I found discounted PC games on an end cap in the stationary isle. I found a copy of Kane & Lynch for $12.48. Then there were some over in the a corner of the electronics department.

My Blue Dragon finally dropped to $29.98 but it's on the clearance shelf.
My Avatar is still normal priced in the case. I'd rather punch in the numbers then alert the employee's.

Wow, you guys make some great finds at Target. I never have any luck. All of the Targets close to me have slim pickings in the games section to begin with. The one store that does have a robust inventory and a row of clearance games never has anything good for a good price. I'd kill to find stuff like Folklore and NGS for $15.
