Thanks to Skube and Oxidative for this coupon. Important things to note-- this will make games ten dollars or under free, but it's advised to buy another item, such as a pack of gum.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.

My Target is still 30 for Folkllore.... 4 showed up though so thats potentially a good sign.

Be sure to check out the "cheap game display aisle" that many Targets installed around the holidays. I've seen a lot of titles clearanced on these shelves that aren't put on the clearance endcaps. Titles tend to vary by store.

my Target had Jericho for 34.84 on Sun, when I came back Tues they were all gone, looks like the new price dropped happened sometime during monday. All the clearanced PS3 games were behind the glass, while other clearanced PC titles were on shelves.

I'm fairly certain that if there isn't a copy out they won't get marked down and eventually will just end up being out of the system.

Mondays. Now, whether the employees at your store do their job that day is a different matter. It seems mine sometime don't do it until Monday evening. I've gone there on Monday during the day with no price drops, and then again on Tuesday and things are relabeled. As a result, I always check on Tuesday myself.

Blue Dragon just dropped here the other day to $15. Not quite on time with other reports, but it still went down along with Bee Movie Game and Avatar. Picked all 3 up because I like them points, and Goozex still has decent point values on them for the price.

All I can say is check back at least every other day after they are reported here. I know the Target here must know what I'm there for every time I walk in the door.

LOL My K-Mart is the same way, 2 of the workers love me but one lady seems upset everytime she see's me. I think that she may be A CAG and can't grab items from the shelf while working, but as soon as her shift is over she hoards like mad, so if i show up between the time she marks an item down, and when she gets off....She gets pissed off.

i noticed some people here from new jersey and i was just at the North Bergen Target and can confirm (although they aren't tagged properly) that Avatar/Bee Movie are 12.98 and Blue Dragon is 14.98... i bought one of the last 2 blue dragon so if someone wants it they better get it soon

Thanx 4 the offer but I passed up Jericho PC for $7ish (it's still on the shelf now at the Carlisle PA Target if anyone wants a copy) because I've pretty much went away from PC gaming. The constant tweaks to my system settings makes playing games too much of a chore. So I'd prefer the console version for now.

3 out of the 4 Targets I went to today didn't have the clearance prices posted in the OP. The first one had 2 Folklores in the clearance endcap for 29.98 and Lego Star Wars II for 13.98. But the second one had the correct prices, they had 2 copies of Jericho in the glass case and I just picked up one.

I ended up getting:
Folklore - 14.98
Jericho - 12.48
PGR3 - 9.98
Lego Star Wars II - 9.98
Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi - 4.98

Stopped by the Target in South Brunswick NJ & picked up the last copy of Blue Dragon for $15. Picked up a copy of Ninja Gaiden Sigma at $30 and going to try to do a return/rebuy at a Target that has it for $15. Anyone tried that?

On another note, (prolly doesn't belong in this thread) the BB next to that Target had a 40% off red dot sale on games, some games were Dawn of Mana $50, Viva Pinata $20, Chocobo Tales $30...and some others...

In my experience with return/rebuy, the returned clearance games never make it back to the shelves if its the only one in stock. I guess the games I returned get sent to Goodwill. I know they won't PM down a clearance game that dropped, but you can return and gamble on it being shelved again.

If the game is out of the system, and if you try to rebuy it, you will be charged the sticker price. This can be bad if it was stickered at $34, but at the time of the original purchase, the system said it was $7.48.
