Thanks to Skube and Oxidative for this coupon. Important things to note-- this will make games ten dollars or under free, but it's advised to buy another item, such as a pack of gum.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.

target i went to today was a bust. did happen to find a 360 meet the robinsons with an as is sticker for $3.16. im sure its a lone copy they found that is out of the system. i also scanned the barcode for ninja gaiden and it rang up at $14.98, but of course they didn't have any.

Generally no, you can return an item if it drops and HOPE that they put it back on the shelves, but if its the only remaining one they'll salvage bin it.

Merch in the restrooms is a no-no. If you live in an area like I do, hide it by books. Noone ever shops there...

Nearest target to me appears to have been trashed by ferocious lurkers... all I saw behind the glass cases were red clearance tags with no games (no clearance games that is, so the case was half empty on the ps3 side). Did find a copy of blue dragon on a back shelf but still at $30, and who wants traditional japanese rpgs anyway? I'll have to search the bathroom and book section. Don't post anymore hiding places!

I do not understand...I went last night to my local Target here in Cincinnati and it scans at $29.99. Should I go back and bring this to their attention? It should be $14.98?

It just means your target hasn't dropped the price yet. They will not price match clearance prices, so you will have to check it another day or you could find out what day that store does their markdowns. (I wouldn't take the game up to an employee)

I picked up Shadow of the Colossus for $13.xx last evening. They also had Crackdown for $48.xx which I will be waiting to drop some more. Definitely going to go check out a few more Target around here to see what other good deals I can find.

Woot. I got Blue Dragon for 14.98 at the Dobson store in Mesa, AZ (I considered Juiced 2 for 14.98, but passed). My first awesome deal of the year from Target and really, for quite a while. Even used a 5 dollars off coupon making it 11.XX after tax. I'm not going to break up the discount across all of the items I picked up. See, I need mouthwash, cereal, shampoo and chapstick so I would have paid full price anyway.
One odd thing, all of the Blue Dragon games were resealed pretty poorly. I take the plunge and picked one up. I opened it up and everything looks mint, but the case is a different design than I've seen. Instead of the special tray, there was a deeper spindle designed to hold three discs (it even says "3" on it)
It seems to work fine and all, but I prefered the old system. Is this a second printing or something?

Nah, they're all like this. Microsoft was cheap and wanted to cut packaging production costs, so this was the result.

Cupertino Target off De Anza Blvd has black label copies of Shadow of the Colossus for 13.xx. Also another game I noticed with a clerance tag is Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror for the PS2. The Ninja Gaiden and Folklore games there have been cleared out.

And is GRAW 2 suppose to be 15 bucks? If so, I need to go pick up a copy.
