Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in gold are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

ElHoardo1.jpg

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Has anybody seen Dead Rising for under 13.xx yet? It went down at the same time as Vegas 2 and Orange Box and none of went down at my store yet (even scanned it). I'd pick it up and give it another shot for $9, or ESPECIALLY $5 (like I got Brutal Legend for a couple months back to go back and clean up some achievements I had left undone).

I bought Dead Rising for $10 last week. Last copy at my local Target.
They still have a bunch of Madden NFL 10 for PS3 at $8 and for Wii at $13. A lot of slightly older games for 30% off (most of them are now MSRP $30 so $20) .. PSP titles mainly, but I also FairTale Fights for 360. They also had that Wii Shape game w/ camera for 50% off ($20).

Disappointed Bioshock 2 and Dawn of War II didn't drop to 75% off this week, but I did get a King Ding Dong tshirt for $2.48. And in related news, I'm single.

I'll only bite on Bioshock 2 when it starts to drop on consoles...which I would think would be soon since the MSRP already dropped.

Speaking of biting, there's a ton of food on clearance at my store. Strawberry Milkshake Oreos (disgusting, and I love Strawberry flavored-anything), giant packs of Snack Pack Puddings, Strawberry Jet-Puffed Marshmallows (delicious!), among other things.

As for video games, just :360: Orange Box and :360: Call of Juarez sitting at 9.98. Waiting for Orange Box to hit 4.98 and I'll be extra-tempted. Other than that, Zelda DS at 24.48 along with tons of DS and Wii shovelware.
Strawberry Milkshake Oreos (disgusting, and I love Strawberry flavored-anything)
how's that taste like? wouldn't it just taste like chocolate dipped strawberries?

i was halfway to the register with fairy tale fights for 4.98, but decided to pass. lol, i don't think i want to play it given all the bad reviews.

Was just at my Target - Lots of Saint for Wii for $10.xx. To be honest I never even saw this game behind the glass or in the plastic prison. I just don't have a clue where it came from.

Nothing else to note other than it was piles of Saint and a bunch of Wii/DS childrens games/shovelware, all for $10.xx

No decent game drops for my visit tonight, but crazy deals on other things. They finally marked down the Clue: Secrets and Spies that I've been watching for months. 75% is generally my breaking point for anything mildly interesting. Not sure if I'll ever play it, but it's always nice to expand the board game collection.

Today wasn't a drop day, but I got a turquoise RE:Room Essentials (the college line) lap desk for 9.08, and an ipod car charger + external battery for 7.50 (repackage I think). Not a bad haul at all. They had several ps3 games - Infamous, Alpha Protocol, Bayonetta, Dark Void, Super Street Fighter 4, several Shine for Wii, and some crapware for 360. Pc clearance consisted of Wolfenstein, Dawn of War 2, and some budget "327 in one" type games. I didn't check any prices.

I think right now they are still doing 40lb boxes of Arm & Hammer cat litter for 12.99, and if you buy 2 you get a $5 GC, which I netted earlier this week and went towards my purchase today. Not clearance but just FYI... :D

It's one of those bargain bin titles that they used to throw into the endcap holders, back under the old game section/case design. I remember seeing a whole bunch of those along with that Monkey King game.

first time I stopped by all week and what a surprise they had a bunch of PS3 titles clearenced. What i saw was:
Tekken 6- $20.xx
Borderlands- $20.xx
Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2- $34.xx
SF4 GHits- $20.xx
Beatles Rockband- $20.xx
UFC 2009- $20.xx
and a couple others that have slipped my mind. I know Monday is the normal drop day all around but it was surprising tht all these titles were still in stock with multiple copies of each this late in the week... Ended up not pickin up anything, only one I have my eye on is Borderlands and $20 is a great price. might have to bite on that tomorrow before they're all snatched up.

You may want to hold off on picking up Borderlands for $20, as there's a GOTY edition coming out, though it's coming out at full MSRP($59.99).

In other news, has Target mandated across the board clearance price drops for every store at the same time as of yet? I ask cuz this super highly YMMV system they have in place now sucks balls, since every store by me is ALWAYS a month(or sometimes 2-3) behind everything I see posted here. By the time I think to check my local stores either A) everything was bought by the regular fuckin' idiots at 15% who fall for every marketing trick retail stores throw at them or B) El Hoardo.

damn i someone bought all the 320gb Wd harddrive except for the crushed box at 41.98
i bought it because content was fine. i took it apart and inside is the Scorpio Blue 320gb . i didnt really need it so i swap out my 60gb in the ps3 and stuck that in . work fine.
Huh.. that's good knowledge there, bmulligan. So basically, it gets no better with age and only can get worse? Good to know.

Hey guys, I'm sorry I'm doing such a shitty job on this thread. It's been almost two months since I've updated this thread.

I'm not sure if I'll be able to go back to doing a good job on the thread. Truth be told, it's a giant, annoying pain in the ass if I don't get free time each night to update this thing, and unfortunately, I don't have my nights free anymore. As we speak, I am going through the thread and trying to put the latest games in the OP.

The main point of the post is the following: If another CAG who is reputable and trustworthy wants to take over the thread, I think that will be for the best.

However, if arrangements can't be made, I will try my best to keep this thing updated when I have the time.

Awesome, that's exactly the info I've been trying to find, thank you!! There were still a few of those drives at a couple of the stores here. Hoping they get a drop tomorrow and I can still find a couple :bouncy:

Saw the NCF tags on the Halo Reach Legendary and the Halo Reach Console bundles at Target yesterday. :)

Only a matter of time. :D

the two targets I have around me really suck. They are so tight on the drops and what titles make it to clearance. Last monday I saw Red Faction Guerilla for 9.98 PC, Phantom Hourglass 17.48 (unfortunately not the awesome price I saw earlier) and week before that I saw Bayonetta for 39.99. I'll try again tomorrow and see what I come up with.

We can only hope. If not, my local Best Buy has at least a dozen Legendary editions sitting in the Xbox aisle so there's always hope there.

I forget if I posted all of this or not, but my local Target has the LBP PS3 Controller bundle, Silent Hill Wii, & Pikmin Wii marked as NCF.

Mine in Grand Rapids, Minnesota has finally starting to drop prices down again. I was able to pick up Bioshock 2, Warhammer 40000: Dawn of War II, Red Faction Guerrilla, and Prototype all for PC for $7.48 each. I was also able to pick up a pair of Nike Vapor headphones for that price. They had these left to name a few:

2 copies of Aliens vs. Predator for PC $7.48
4 copies of Wolfenstein for PC $9.99
2 copies of Lego Batman for PC $4.98
2 copies of Alpha Protocol for PC $24.98
2 copies of Splinter Cell: Conviction for PC $24.98
4 copies of The Orange Box for Xbox 360 $9.98
3 copies of Brutal Legend for Xbox 360 for $14.98
2 copies of Burnout Paradise Greatest Hits for Xbox 360 $9.98
2 copies of Dark Void for PS3 $9.98
2 copies of Army of Two:The 40th Day for PSP $9.98

They had much more left for DS and Wii, but only really the ones I took a look at.

I saw and bought DJ Hero for $29.99 for the PS3. It wasn't on clearance, but I just thought I'd let you guys know of the price drop. I saw it applied for the PS3 and 360, and I'm sure it applied to the Wii version as well.

Went to my local Target and was pleasantly surprised to see so many clearance games again. I saw the following:

Dante's Inferno - $27.98
RE 5 GOLD - $27.98
Infamous - $14.xx

Not a game
Canon SD980IS - $124.xx - couldn't pass this up so I bought this instead of the games above.

Try the Stationary (stationery? Idk how to spell that crap, I'm a gamer). Tulsa had the clearance games in 4 locations within about 10 days so be persistent and look everywhere.

Which system(s)? That's good news indeed, I've been on the hunt for a cheap Dante's Inferno.

That LBP bundle and Pikmin Wii will have my attention, hopefully they get clearanced soon and don't sell fast around me.

Then again I'm also still waiting for Naughty bear to drop from its $49.99 price mark is still has at both targets near me.

I think me means the PS3 version, I saw it at one of the targets out of my area a couple weeks ago as well for that price.
Which system(s)? That's good news indeed, I've been on the hunt for a cheap Dante's Inferno.
Both were for PS3

Video game drops were bad again. Nothing but Wii shovelware, although I am interested in Saint. Too bad I suck at shmups, but I love them.

There were also half a dozen 26 in Westinghouse TVs that are gonna be clearanced. It's 300 bucks, so my guess it will go as low as 30% before being sent back to the DC for closeout.

Just in the Target on Bloomingdale near Brandon today, and saw Zelda Phantom Hourglass there for 8.48 They had quite a few. I found it interesting as Nintendo stuff rarely ever gets marked this low. I saw the NCF orange tag for Halo Reach but not on the Legendary edition, however they only had 1 or 2 left and I am going to watch for a markdown. A few other things as well but nothing else of consequence. They don't seem to have a markdown section anymore the games are still in their cases with the clearance tags and stickers on them. A little harder to find when you head straight for the clearance rack to peruse, but nevertheless now you don't have to hunt all over the store for stuff. Better I think. Happy Hunting

Has anyone bought Rainbow 6: Vegas 2 and had issues with it? I've taken it back twice and it keeps freezing at the Xbox Live patch screen. None of my other games have had any issues.

If you just want to play the campaign, maybe play offline so Live can't try to patch it.

It freezes as soon as the pop up appears. I just didn't know if this was affecting anyone else since I've gotten multiple copies and my Xbox hasn't had any issues with other games.

got that tv for free in a warranty replacement. most i'd pay for it is $175. the HDMI inputs look like absolute garbage

Tons of drops today at my Target. Many PC games stuck at $15 for the past few weeks finally went down to $7.50. Several PS3 and 360 titles are also on clearance at $21 and $14. Might be worth stopping by today to see what's on sale.

I also noticed an employee with a shopping cart FULL of Halo reach normal and LE copies. Tons of them. Really hoping these hit clearance soon.
