Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in gold are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Went to target today and picked up Drawn The Painted Tower for $4.98 and Prototype (PC) for $7.48. The only other games I noticed that I didn't see on the list on the first page is Splinter Cell Conviction (PC) for $24 and Kane and Lynch 2 Dog Days (PC) for $24.
Picked up two copies of Borderlands PC for $4.98 each. Here's hoping the PC version is halfway comparable to the console version given the price difference.
PC version is excellent as long as you have a computer that can run it.

Picked up DJ Hero for $30 for my wife...she wanted to get it when I told her the price. I went yesterday to make my Target rounds and every one that had it advertised for the sale price was sold out. I just went to one that didn't have the price out for everyone to see and picked up the 2nd to last one.

Picked up Dawn of War II (PC) $7.48 and Lego Batman (PC) $4.98.

Saw Red Faction (PC) $4.98 and Metro 2033 (PC) $12.48. Might go back for them.

Went to the Target on Westheimer near Voss. Didn't really find much aside from Bayonetta PS3 for $15, and Zelda Phantom Hourglass for $8.76 (which i did buy).

I did also see the Borderlands Expansion Disc pack for $10.48, but I passed on it cause I probably will just get the GOTY next week. :D

Damn Phantom Hourglass for $8.76 is Slick. It was still $17.xx something at my store.

Bakugan Battle Brawlers CE marked $13.98 but price check was $4.98. Perhaps the collectible ball is worth $5 to some kid collectors :)

Some PS3 games just started the clearance cycle:

Avatar $20.98
Lego Indiana Jones 2 $13.98
Singularity $41.98
...
Thanks MCHampster............If possible check and see what stores in like south chicago or northwest indiana that has any limited editiond bioshock 2's left. thanks again
I checked our store, we didn't have the limited edition for either system. Just the regular one. not even in the backroom stock. I would look for other stores, but I don't have privileges for that.

my wife grabbed these yesterday at the Cutler Ridge, Fl target, all pc

Dawn of War 2 $7.48
Bioshock 2 $7.48
Aliens vs Predator $9.98
Prototype $7.48
Wolfenstein $7.48

My pc finally has more games....
A few new drops at my Target.
PS3
MAG $41.98
Blur $41.98
NHL 10 $20.98
Darksiders $19.98
Wii
Red Steel 2 $7.48
MAG is now a Greatest Hit retailing for $29.55 @ Amazon.

I'm still on the fence about Wolfenstein for PC. Anyone have an opinion on it that they'd like to share. It's down to $9.98 but I'm not sure I want to spend the cash given my backlog of pc games etc. I already passed on Metro 2033 @ $12.50 and also Bioshock 2 for $7.50 (But I skipped bioshock because the first one was just too creepy for me and I'm a big baby about the scary fps games).

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Oh, and I saw a bunch of Halo Reach tee shirts and other stuff all going for $6.xx at my store, not much of a discount yet. I'm all about the $2 shirts if I can get em.

You should pick up Metro 2033 before either Bioshock 2 or Wolfenstein. Metro 2033 gets my vote for best new IP, and it was my favorite shooter this year, behind bad company 2. Its a great game and easily worth $12.50.

Buy them in your size now, because when they hit $2.50 there will be only smalls and XXL's left.
Found 1 remaining copy of Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 PS3 for $12.48... Pretty killer deal I think
Wha? I had no idea that was on clearance!

These are gamer shirts-- only S, M, and some L will be left. ;)

I visited 2 stores today and saw a large amount of :ps3: games and some :360: in the endcaps:

Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2
Alpha Protocol
Borderlands
Bayonetta
some UFC game
some WWE game
Super Street Fighter IV

all varying from $13.98 to $41.xx. None of those Targets had PES 2010 anymore.
I check this one all the time, thanks for the heads up!
now i know whose legs to break when i can't find anything! ;)

Target in White Marsh Md has a bunch of Borderlands for the PS3 for 20.98. (You didn't play Borderlands? What's wrong with you!

Also Lego Rock band for 10. Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 was 13.98 I believe. All PS3.

Metro 2033 for PC for 13.98. There was quite a bit of other stuff. Those are the highlights

Lot's of other clearances around the store. Solar Powered sidwalk lights, cans of freon for your cars AC half price. (You people who have to add freon to your cars every summer know who you are)

Good lord.... what happened to Manassas West and Gainsville? Looks like someone trashed the clearance section pretty bad.

My Target finally started shitting out the PS3 and PC clearance games like mad. Sad to see all the Move games taking shelf space :( Got good buys though.

Ghostbusters (PS3) for $7.49
Borderlands (PC) for $4.98
BioShock (PC) for $4.98
BioShock 2 (PC) for $7.49

LOL, I noticed that today myself.

At the Waterfront Target in Pittsburgh, PA, I got:

:360: Rainbow 6 Vegas 2 for $9.xx
Halo Reach UNSC t-shirt for $6.xx

Saw a :wii: Red Steel 2 and got excited until I saw that it was at $20.xx. :bs:
LOL, I noticed that today myself.
See this is another reason why they need to drop stock faster... those end caps were a disaster. I tried to pull one game and other shit started falling all over the place.

Either the pricing team did a big F'U to us clearance hunters or el hordoito took what he wanted and trashed the rest of the stuff.

At MW I *almost* picked up a laptop case for my gf's new laptop for 6.xx but it was only for a 16inch and her's was a 17.3 :(
the Annapolis, MD Target had the Borderlands DLC disc for 10.48.
Pretty sure this trades in for $5 at Gamestop still. A good way to get $20 worth of DLC for only about $5. After the content is installed, you don't need the disc again.

I saw some new games that hit the clearance cycle at my store, all PS3:

Borderlands - 20.98
Tekken 6 - 20.98
Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 - 34.98

Here's to more clearance on Sunday.

damn, I saw many copies of Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 at Long Beach, CA but $35 is too much for me cough up. I'd rather buy it after another price drop but I'm afraid that it may be gone by then. I was thinking of hiding them, but I got caught last time and was warned not to do it again.

Thanks thread. I'm going to check more often!

it was me

I just wanted to share deals with people, cag shouldn't get to hoard all the good deals for itself :)

Normally people here wait for multiple price drops to save a lot. Sd folks don't know what to do and there are tons more of them. We'll be lucky if there are any further drops on those games. Don't post cag stuff on sd.

Yes, I agree with the other comments thus far. It's bad enough that we deal with El Hoardo, but you may have just invited El Hoardo's family to join in on taking the clearance deals.

Good job, you have just made it harder for us to find clearance games at Target. Way to go.
