I really don't understand exactly what you want. dtarasev already told you you can run Windows Media Center on any machine that can run XP Home. What else do you need? It's just another version of Windows, it's like asking what you can do to make your experiance more like XP Pro or something.

Have you looked into the Ikea Jerker or Galant? Both of those you assemble yourself and are very customizable. I have the Jerker and it's an awesome desk and incredibly sturdy. They have two versions of the Jerker by the way, the regular table (very long) and a computer desk which has shelves...

I think if you want to try SMB, I would pick up one of the old GC versions, probably SMB2. That one is fun but sometimes frustratingly hard.

My boyfriend has this exact model and he loves it. It's nothing fancy but it has a little display with the title, it's small, and easy to use. No iPod but for $20 I think it's worth it.
