I'm an unashamed Pac-Fan, and while I groaned at the announcement, after playing the demo, I quickly dropped points on it. Multiplayer modes would have been nice, but I can see myself playing this for some time to come. Utterly intense and absorbing.

In short, yes. A/V cables are the same, and short of the 'power brick', the PSTwo power cord is a 'standard 8' - the same as is used for the PS2.
