The way I see it, why pay full MSRP for a game unless you are going to play it straight off? Okami for $40 (or in the future probably less) will be there waiting when you eventually want to play it.
Ever since the advent of the VC, re-release's, and remakes, alot of older games sure have dropped in value lately.
Which ones have you noticed? I was on vacation on Half for most of last year and when I returned it looked like my prices were still pretty well in line. However, most of my stuff isn't worth much, so I guess it didn't have much room to go down.

I can tell you Max Payne 2 (PS2) isn't worth jack. I don't think I could pay someone to take it.:whistle2:#

I agree Wubb. The only games in recent memory I've payed MSRP for are Zelda and Trauma Center at launch for Wii. I don't think I've payed full price before that since the early 2000s.

Thats what I figure about Okami. It will be there, and hopefully at a lower price, when I'm ready for it.

As far as old, collectible games going down in price because of re-releases and what not, I would think the prices would stay about the same. Over time, games become harder to find(obviously) making them more valuable, however, people who just wanted said game to play it are able to buy the new version, therefore driving demand down. While supplies of the collectable version are dropping, demand is falling along side it, keeping prices relatively the same.

I'm guessing it's going to become greatest hits.

I've paid MSRP for a couple DS games. (Well MSRP less the $5 Best Buy coupon or ~ the same amount off on a release week sale, which for most CAGs is pretty much as close to MSRP as you can get.) But, then it's always a case of playing it straight off and then flipping it on eBay. Works out that I end up paying ~ $5 net to making a few bucks. Can't beat that.

And lion - A game has to have been worth something at some point to have a drop! ;) Although seriously, I did really like MP2. Probably the best game you can easily find for under $5.

MP2? Whats that? Whatever it is, under 5 bucks and a recommendation from wubb is enough for me to pick it up .

Although having GH games doesn't bother me, I prefer to have it non-GH. Maybe I'll pick it up in a month or so if I see a good price drop on it.

Wow. You know that's kind of fucked up, but who cares, it's hilarious.

And with that image stuck in my head, I'm off to school. Later OTT.

Max Payne 2, anagram lost it's meaning out of context, I suppose.

Very short (I'm talking 3-4 hours short) but fun.

Ah yes, I did buy a few DS games at MSRP with the GGC, NSMB comes to mind.

But I'm a collector, so I end up not selling anything.

Yeah, I'm sure. I got it for less than $10 I think. I usually sell off games I'm not going to revisit, and MP2 falls in that category. I'm trying to get something more than a dollar for the effort to ship it... I think I have it listed at a whopping $2 right now...

Best practice here, as far as I'm concerned, is to go out to a BB or CC right after the game becomes GH/PC/whatever -- usually they have little cardboard deals they stick over the normal packaging... so you get the original game for GH price... I do it all the time. SotC, GT4, God of War, etc.

Is it better then #1?
Is it better then #1?
I think I liked 1 better, but at least this one didn't have stupid ass baby blood crack nightmares. It had flashbacks instead, but I'd rather have those any day... trying to figure out which bloodpath to follow and correctly jumping/staying on it was a royal pain in the ass.

I got 55 items up... I think some stuff will be a little too expensive for CAG's blood ;) Some of my stuff I'm trying to overprice just to see if I can't snag a collector with it, since there aren't any other auctions like mine. Mega Man 1 - 6 complete for NES, Castlevania 1 - 3 complete... I already have the MM games on the collection and I'm 99.9% sure CV will be on the VC.

I'm going to see how these do before I start listing the rest of my personal SNES RPG's... stuff I've had since I was a kid.

I don't think anywhere here collects complete NES / SNES / Genesis games though, on CAG at all (because they tend to be more expensive for the same thing), so I'm not gonna advertise at all. What I *do* need to do is install WoW today, and take that literacy test.

I'm surprised someone already bought my FF Origins for $10.
If you had to put a fair price on each of the games, what would you say each was worth?
Okami is already worth the $30 I paid for it. Twilight Princess is worth the over-retail my gf probably paid for it.

Okami is worth $60, Zelda is worth $50.

Just watched Idiocracy and The Illusionist. Idiocracy was pretty damn funny and The Illusionist was a really awsome movie, gotta get that sometime! No idea what to rent next...keeping Idiocracy as one roomie hasn't seen it yet, but taking back The Illusionist and I Trust You to Kill Me.

Just did an inventory of my movie posters, here's what I got:

Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (teaser and theatrical)
Batman
Batman Begins
Borat
Casino Royale
DOOM (3)
Flags of our Fathers
Get Rich or Die Tryin' (2)
Grandma's Boy
Jackass 2 (2)
King Kong
Matrix Revolutions
Rocky Balboa
Silent Hill
Snakes on a Plane (2 versions)
Star Trek: First Contact (Teaser - 2)
Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith
Good for you, good FOR you.
Haha, it was part interactive, part non interactive.

One of the interactive parts was successfully logging into your yahoo email given the provided screen name and password . All you had to do was type it in and log in.

Here's another one: Use Google to successfully search for mitosis . Just type mitosis in Google and... that's it.

I needed a 70% or better on each section, I got an 85% or higher on each one (I really wasn't paying attention, I just wanted to get out of there, plus I'm not that familar with Excel)... the sad part is, the global average for my school ranged from 70 - 73%. That's really sad.
the sad part is, the global average for my school ranged from 70 - 73%. That's really sad.
i'd believe it. at my school, the class was called "computers and their uses" which included saving a Word file and creating a yahoo email address etc. there were students who failed the class, and not because they didn't show up.

That's exactly what the test was on.

I mean, there was some technical stuff, but it was only 10% of the test... it was such a small amount.

"How to open a document"
"How to save a document"
"How to turn off your computer"

It just felt so basic... I was so bored. It was *supposed* to be a two hour long test, I finished in 23 minutes... it would have been shorter but it lagged on one of the questions for about 5 minutes.

It used to be two sections, and you had to average a 70% on both sections (Literacy and Information) to pass. Apparently, so many people were failing (that were opting out of the class) that those two sections were divided into four sections (Literacy 1 and 2, Information 1 and 2), and you had to average a 70% on both sections in a subject. Basacially, they made it alot more easy to pass.

I don't want to work today. I just had to agree to working 9 hours instead of the unholy 5. I won't be home till like 3 am now.

Wow do I love my Borders Express going out of business. Everything is 40% off. So far I've picked up:

Guilty Pleasures by Laurell K. Hamilton (First Anita Blake novel)
Anansi Boys by Neil Gaiman
I, Lucifer by Glen Duncan
The Laughing Corpse by Laurell K. Hamilton (Second Anita Blake novel)
Identity Crisis graphic novel
Kingdom Come graphic novel

I wonder if I should pick some more up before they close tomorrow.

Yo Karsh, I think me and the Admiral are going to be starting our Blood Elves today, you want in?

I'm installing everything now, then I have to go back in and put in CT_Mod, but I should be ready to go tonight.

Dammit, now when I get home from work at 3 am I'm going to sit in front of the laptop and research teaching positions here in Georgia >__

Let me know what server and what time and I'll try my best to be on tonight. I have to go out to the mall later to get some stuff for when I go back to college Sunday, but otherwise I should be fine.

I just gotta find a low pop. PvP server if one still exists.

I just re-activated, so all is well in the world (of warcraft). Just gotta throw Burning Crusade in now.

I believe Nathrezim is still low pop and the highest it would be is medium. We could always go there if you wanted to.

EDIT: Holy shit never mind. I just checked and it's up to high. Screw that.

Sounds good!

The patch is half a GB

Well, now I'm just confused. In game it's listed as medium but Realm Status said it was High. And it was definitely low yesterday. So who knows what the actual population is,.

I just don't want 20 minute wait times to get into a game =/

I really should go crack open that WoW CE to get the code out of it and install it.

Nath doesn't seem too bad then. I easily just got on. I hate to say it, but me being a Paladin may be better than having a Warlock if only cause then we have someone who can at least tank somewhat. Then again, I don't know how many aggro stealing moves Paladins really have.

Not nearly as many as a Warrior.

We won't really need a tank for the most part, if it's a three person group... we'd still have to find two more people to do instances with anyways.

Also, if you're a Warlock, the Voidwalker makes a great tank for most situations. I used to be able to solo a ton of shit as a Warlock because the Voidwalker did a good job tanking. I totally forgot about that until right now.

All this talk of WoW is tempting me to get it. But I have to do 30 hours of assistant teaching this next semester along with 6 classes and an attempted daily gym work-out.
