This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy. If you try be sure to bring a smile and a lollipop.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Thanks for the info, I found Guitar Hero III tagged for $49.98 but scanned for $24.98

Anyone's Target get to 75% off on Christmas items yet? Mine was still 50% off even though it is the 4th day (so it was supposed to be 75% off) and almost nothing is left. I bet at 90% off, there will be junk.

I picked up Guitar Hero: Aerosmith with Guitar bundle (PS3) for $24.98 and Uncharted for $14.98 today at a Durham, NC Target. I got the last Uncharted, but they had a ton of PS3 Aerosmith bundles.

The only video game related clearance items were the PS2 and I think 360 versions of the GH Aerosmith bundles for about $40 each. I think these were all posted before, but his Target just recently dropped the price in the last week or two. He got a SH for me as well, so I got a new PS3 game for $15, that's good to me. I may take a drive over to my Target and see what, if anything, they have.

This Target is just my number 1 as no one seems go to this one.
Other ones usually get wiped out before the magic price comes along but this one usually seems untouched from week to week.

I'm hesitant to say it's location though. As mentioned before, I have seen where I've mentioned something specfic, and it's been gone right after.

The GH3 bundles (360) at the Parma Target were still $49.98. They were labelled as $69.98. Didn't get to check on any other prices. I also spotted a lone copy of Wall-E that had the $19.98 price sticker on it but scanned as "Item Not Found." I curiously asked a red shirt if he could tell me what the price was and after scanning it several times and receiving the "item not found" message, he said "Uh, I think it's $19.98 like on the label." Riiiiiight. Of course, I paid $9.98 for it last week and didn't tell him that. I put it back on the shelf for someone else to discover.

Found Need For Speed Carbon for PS3, Spiderman 3 for 360, and Rainbow 6 Vegas 2 for PS3 all for 7.xx each at the Stow, Ohio Target. Also found GTA4 SE for PS3 for 22.xx. All the Ps3 games were behind the glass. Asked them to scan a few items and they were surprised to see how cheap they were. Spiderman was the only 360 game left in the clearance bin. Everything else was picked clean.

It looked like there were a couple of copies of Carbon and GTA4 SE still behind the glass.

Dang, I went to my Target and all they had for PS3 as far as I could tell was Hot Shots Golf. I went to the price checker and it was at like $42 so I went to put it back and on my way back to the discount endcap I noticed the case was open, I peered inside and as I expected the game was gone.

If they had Vegas 2 I woulda jumped on that.

It's important to note that the Enhanced Edition is free to download, even with the regular retail release, so that's a fine price for a very decent game. If I hadn't already got a copy with my 8800 GTX I'd pick up a box copy for sure.

Last time I returned something at Wal-Mart without receipt they told me that they will not take items more than $50 without receipt.
