This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.
I picked up 2 Commander pedestal Gaming chairs yesterday. They retail for $150.00. I picked them up for $37.00 each. The chairs are a steal for that price. Excellent sounding speakers, vibrations and sub. Very heavy duty feeling. This was at the Appleton, WI store (Fox River Mall area). They had 2 left as of yesterday.
Holy crap that looks cool! I need a good seat for gaming..our living room is pretty big & the sofa is a bit far away for my tastes, so I usually end up sitting on the floor in front of the TV for 'serious' gameplay. Might have to go look for this one...do you have the DCPI?

Oh yeah, what section of the store do you find these gaming chairs in?

Thanks for any help...

damn i tried to snag one of these. all they had left was the display model and the friendly "team member" that i talked to said they dont sell displays after i asked her if i could buy it. i asked her what they do with the displays and she said they THROW THEM OUT. wtf?? can a target employee confirm this, do they really just throw out display models? i just cant imagine target is throwing out plasma tvs, and all the other top dollar shit they have on display. if they do in fact throw out display models, where can i score those items at? the dumpster behind the store (i doubt it)? anyway, i'd like more info on this and i wanna know if she is full of shit or not. if she is FOS, how would i go about obtaining a display model?

They gave me the same BS about the display. The thing is I had already checked the DCPI on the scanner and read something like (1)-1-1, Stock room: 0. I told her that I took that to mean that they had at least 1 to sell. Since I couldn't find a box, I asked her if that meant the display is for sale. She said no, and that she thought it was non-working anyway. I showed her that some of the other displays had tags saying they were non-working, but this one had no such marking. She continued to just stare at me.

I then said, well if it doesn't work, that's fine, I'd still like to talk to the manager about purchasing the non-working display, just to sit in. Then she had the reason that it didn't have a certain tag on it, and therefore could not be sold. I don't know why this 'rule' wasn't brought forward to me in the first place; seems a little fishy that she was trying to find every reason not to sell it to me. She did know a good bit about the chair, and knew it had been marked down recently, even though there was no clearance signage near the display (tag still read $150...DCPI punched in revealed the $37.xx clearance price), so I smell an inside job...:bomb:

Even with all the drama, I still picked up the Shark Video Game Rocker Chair for $27.48 (75% off); it seems pretty sturdy, but not as comfortable as the chair. Oh well...I've got other eyes hunting this deal down now!

shark chair was 27.48????? you think this is YMMV?

If any one managed to snag all 6 of the Red Hulk Build a Figures that they' like to part with, send me a pm. Picked them up initially, but $15 a figure was too much in my mind, so they went back. $2.48 a figure, now we're talking.

Mine had a bunch of these at 75% off; usually $109.99. Just opened it up...it's really not too bad, even for my larger frame. Pretty darn solid deal for 30 bucks. Still gonna pursue getting the commander, though, and the shark will be relegated to guests! :D

My local Target in NY had 3 of them at this price so I picked one up, seems to be nationwide.

Here is a decent review on the BoomChair Shark, for those of you who can't find the Commander. I just pulled it out and sat in it...I like it so far, but I'll put it through it's paces with some gaming after I get off of work tonight.

What section of the store have people been finding these game chairs at? I've never seen any in the game sections of the stores I've been to.

They are in the furniture section. Even though I could not locate a commander today, luckily I have a very supportive family: my Mom actually ran to Target this evening, and was able to score the last one in town for $37.xx! :applause:

I didn't buy them, but I found two Adam Warlock figures at a Target in Raleigh, NC for $2.48 a piece on Thursday. They also had a few figures from the Queen Brood series as well. I'm sure they're all gone by now, though.
:gc: Outlaw Golf/Darkened Skye twopack 1.24

Worth it just for the GC double case, but Darkened Skye was good.
I saw one of those somewhere not to long back. I'll have to see if I can track it down, I need a double GC case for a copy of Killer 7 I got.

toys went straight from 30% off to 75% off here. spent upwards of $300 in the last two days on

a shit-ton of toys
DDR2 uni for 360
drill for myself
electric razor scooter with seat and more

I saw a couple of the small Mario figures in the toy cleanance aisle for 0.98. They were the ones that were clearanced at Blockbuster.

Not a video game deal, but I saw a $150 Panasonic Microwave at Target yesterday for $38. Big, stainless steel. If I needed a microwave, I would have gone for it.

MjC
Found drakes fortune and silent hill homecoming for $14.98 each.
That's a nice find this late in the clearance cycle.

I'm hoping that this clearance slump ends soon. I haven't stepped into a Target in a couple of weeks. I picked up Ninja Gaiden 2 at BB for $4.99 (after $5 RZ cert) so I need to go return the copy I bought at Target ($14.98).

I waited and waited for uncharted to drop below the 30 dollar mark and they sold all before xmas.
I didnt like this game when i first saw it but after a rental I really want it to get some more trophies.

There were 2 Boomchair Sharks in stock at Lawrence, KS last night - $27.98 each. They're on the furniture endcap facing the jewelry boat if anyone lurking is from Lawrence and interested.

several were available as of yesterday afternoon at the ABington, PA Target as well for this price. I got one and also the wireless hook up as well ( on clearance for 7.98)

Decent setup for 36+ tax but be aware that the wireless set up EATS batteries like candy. you MUST power it down after use or it will die FAST

Hmmm...I never saw this wireless dongle thing. I have to say, I had a few buddies over to play a little Gears 2, and check out the new Shark chair, and this thing is really impressive! I have been trying to rig this thing up to play in conjunction with the sound from my Sony STR-DG920 reciever, but this time we just took the sound straight from the Xbox to the chair, and WOW! This thing really does create an incredible sound field for 3 speakers, and the volume is impressive as well. (It was enough to send my GF into the back room when things really started getting intense, around 3AM!) :bouncy:
doubt it will matter... they aren't closed are they?
AFAIK Target (and almost all other stores) will be open tomorrow...

Anyone dealt with Ace Bayou Company make of the Commander chair? Mine didn't come with any cables and I was wondering about their customer support

I found it odd at my Target....I did not find one clearance game except a PS3 GH Aerosmith for $25. I almost picked it up, but I'm not really a GH fan....already have GHII for the 360.

I saw a bunch of PS3 GH Aerosmith's for $25 at my local Target, too. Woulda picked it up if it was for the 360. Other than that...nadda.

How much is one of these "Boom Chairs" originally and what's the function of it? is it just a chair that has speakers near your ears?

and does it take batteries? (I'm guessing not if one guy in an earlier post had to buy a wireless attachment but I just wanted to make sure)

and the brand is Shark? I'm just asking all these questions because I'm really interested in one.

The commander has a power adaptor. Not sure about the shark I think the wireless uses batteries. Both chairs r usually side by side

ugh just no darn luck at any targets in the OC, specifically the ones around irvine (jamboree and barranca)...Clearance is totally nonexistent for ps3 titles. Just a bunch of garbage, most notable titles i saw were GRAW2 for 20 bucks, AC 30 bucks, LegoStarWars 20 bucks...ugh. No GTAIVs, Uncharted, HotShotsGolf, etc. Just bad luck i suppose...

btw, anyone know when they restock their clearance? I've heard they do it on friday and monday but i'm not entirely sure...I did see a copy of Warhawk with bluetooth for 30 bucks thou...but wasn't sure if its worth it. I might pick it up if this drought continues thou...

I don't think any of the ps3 games you saw were clearance, those are just the normal "bargain" games. They don't restock clearance, once its gone, its gone for good. However, they do markdowns on new clearance items every Monday, but there haven't been any new markdowns recently (any worthwhile ones, at least). Probably won't be any until new games start hitting in February. It should hit peak by March, that's when I found the most games last year.

ohhh ok that's good to know. I guess i might as well pick up that copy of warhawk/bluetooth for 30 bucks then...

It is cheaper at Sears, check the thread. I think it is $16.97.

Guitar Hero Aersomith game only on PS2 finally dropped to $9.98. I got that and the Magnext I-Coaster for $22.44 (originally $89.99)

I went to a Target today and there was no VG clearance section at all. The only clearance game that I found was Jericho ($24.98) and that was in the "Value Games" section. I'm pretty sure Jericho would have scanned at $12.48 but I didn't want to be tempted.

the Shark comes with a wired power adapter for the chair and it comes with audio in and out put cords for the audio but if you want to run the wireless connection with 2 little recievers its 7.98 on clearance in the games section at Target ( there were only a couple of these so they may go fast)

Originial price was like $110 for the chair. it basically vibrates the chair and has pretty awesome sound for generic speakers. its fairly comfortable as well. certainly more than sitting on the floor. I like it so far.

Like I said the only negative is how quick the wireless adapters drain the batteries.
