This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

FINALLY Got my 3 copies of :360: Tiger Woods 09 for $15!
(My copy + 2 friends to play on LIVE together with)

Apparently this Target FORGOT to mark down this game to the 50% off ($30) price point last week...
So I when I went back & checked yesterday, it had gone straight from $42 -> $15!
Works for me! (especially if it kept all 3 copies on the shelf for me to grab cheap!)


After this, I think it will keep me busy enough for a while where I probably won't pick up a bunch of new games. I Still haven't finished the copy of Tomb Raider I got a while back...
Unless they clearance out another game I am interested in, I might not be grabbing anything for a while now :roll:

After never seeing many copies of X-Blades, all of a sudden a bunch came out of nowhere priced at $14.98 at several Targets. Mirror's Edge is still at $27.98 or $19.98. I also saw Wheelman 360 and Rock Band 2 PS3 clearanced in my area.
 
I checked the Target in M'boro, TN yesterday evening:

:360: - Far Cry 2 finally dropped to $9.98. I grabbed the last copy.
:360: - FIFA 09 dropped to $14.98. I grabbed the last 2 copies. They had like 6~8 before.
:360: - X-Blades dropped to $9.98. I grabbed the last copy.
:360: - NPPL Paintball was still $29.98
:360: - MLB Front Office was still $9.98

I may try to get a price adjustment next week if the FIFA 09 goes down. They've done it for me before.

They had multiple copies of other titles (I think Sonic) last week but now ALL the Xbox 360 games they had on the clearance shelf are GONE. I think some were still at $30 or so. No sign of Mirror's edge. :(
 
Practically nothing at Target/Cool Springs (Franklin,TN) today. Bunch of Wii - Petz, Barbie, Endless Ocean titles. No :360: games or PS3. did pickup another :360: Sonic Unleashed for 12.48 that someone stashed in the regular $19.99 section behind a bunch of titles. Looks like I won't stop by here for awhile.

I think I totally overlooked the Sonic Unleashed game. Is it in the Greatest Hits artwork/case? I saw a bunch of them at the M'boro store (all gone now) but thought I already had that title... thinking it was the "Sonic the Hedgehog" version.
 
I saw about 15 copies of Mirror's Edge at the Eastland Target in Covina, CA. Some were marked at $20, some marked at $27.

(I would have bought it, but my friend lent me his so I'm good.)

I was surprised to still be able to nab a copy of Afro Samurai(PS3) today. I also picked up MLB Front OFFice Manager(360) $9.98, Sonic Unleashed(360) $12.48, and a Converse windbreaker for $6.24. I did notice at one store that the Sony 350 Blu-ray player was red stickered at 30% off. I will be watching.

Nope...just regular artwork/green case. 12.48 is a great price...if i find another one I'll PM you.
 
Just picked up Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm (PS3) $15 and Sonic Unleashed (360) $13 both under $30 after taxes. Still have 1 copy Naruto: UNS (PS3) left at Super Target Lees Summit of Missouri. I saw KH: COM but I didn't know it on clearance and it have no clearance tag on it :(

That's what we all say. And then I look over at my stack of ~30 games, lol. I don't even like baseball at all and almost picked up MLB Front Office yesterday.

They seem to be selling pretty well at $15, unfortunately. Maybe I should go ahead and buy one, but I've been waiting for another drop, too!
 
My Target gets killed. I'm sure it's the employees that buy everything. The only thing that's ever left is PC games. A couple months ago there would be lots of console games on clearance but not anymore.

Ugh. Both copies of Naruto: UNS were bought, probably yesterday. I guess they both dropped down to $15 - I really should have went to Target yesterday. Gah, really down about it now.

If anyone has an extra they're willing to sell, please pm.
 
Does anyone think they can help a fellow CAGer out and pick me up a copy of Tiger woods 09 for 360, I have paypal, my target just sucks for clearance games and I would appreciate any help.
 
:New at this so forgive me. At my local Target, Rochester Hills MI. Snagged and spotted a few games.

PC - Rainbow Six Vegas 2 $5.00
:ps2: - Kingdom Hearts 2 $13.98

Those are the only 2 I clearly remember, as there were a ton of games on the clearance shelf. Mostly just old sports games, various dragonball z games, and of course very girly kid games.
 
Went to the new Target in Northeast Philly and picked up Naruto (PS3) for $15. There is still one copy left. They didn't have anything else that I wanted though. From what I remember:

Mirror's Edge (360) about 10-15 copies, didn't see the price though.
Quantum of Solace (PC) 7.xx
Rock Band 2 (PS3) 41.xx
 
Game-wise, my Target is pretty much stripped clean. 360 X-Blades for 14.98, 360 MLB Manager for 9.98, 360 Hulk for 7.48 .. lots of PS2 and PSP games.

Not a videogame haul, but I picked up a Canon PowerShot SD1100 IS Digital Elph today for $63.04. Been watching this at $125 and waiting til it dropped again.. finally did, so I scooped it up.

I noticed a lot of Polaroid Portable DVD Players marked down to $69 as well. They were marked on clearance for the last 2 weeks, then apparently taken off clearance and put on Temporary Price Cut .. probably to try and move them outta there faster.
 
Found Farcry 2 (360) for $9.98-- it was in the value section rather than in the clearance section. And against my better judgment, I picked up Hulk (360) for $7.48.

Funny you say that, because I was there today and there were zero PS3 games on the clearance shelf. I think Wheelman and Rockband 2 were in the case marked at 41.xx.

Lol so your the dude that picked up the other one. I knew there was 2 copies of Naruto left from last week and luckily went by today to pick up the last copy when the price finally dropped. Nothing else stood out except for the 20+ copies of Mirrors Edge for 360 and they were still marked at $19.98. If you hit up the other nearby Targets post what ya see.
 
Is there a "usual" spot for Target clearances? At my Targets there's a small rack of games behind the main rows of games; but those are filled with greatest/platinum hits/ games.

I depends on the location. Mission Valley in San Diego has them in the back corner of the electronics section. It's essentially the back corner of the store.

Check the shelves at the end of the aisles, facing the wall. Sometimes you may need to go a few rows away from electronics to find the clearance stuff. And sometimes there may be clearance games still in the locked cases.
 
I totally forgot that I hid a copy of Afro Samurai (PS3) at the Target near my office. It was $29.97 2 weeks ago.

It was still in that stash when I went to get lunch and it was now under $15. Picked it up. =)

Well, they actually have a couple of sections. For example, last week they had dozens of copies of Mirror's Edge and a lot of other clearance PS2 and Wii games in that row of value games next to the glass cases. The back corner of the store seems reserved for DS, PC and some other odds and ends.

LMAO! I hit the Oaks store on the way home. If you are into PS2 games there was some really cheap ones. I saw a few games for $4.98 or 2.48.




If anyone is into cameras, The Camera Shop (Ritz camera) in the Court of the King of Prussia is going out of business. I got a great zoom lens for 40% off!

There were some Wii and DS games, but not as cheap as the PS2 ones.

saw oblivion for pc marked $14.98. I forgot/too lazy to go scan it. Last time I saw it was $7.48. This was at the Target by Yorktown mall in IL
 
Well my Target finally caught on to all the thiefs and stashers . Every game is now in a big ass plastic box with anti theft circuits in them . Hopefully this will put an end to all the hide and seek goings on . I cant imagine fitting these cases in the panty section anymore unless it’s the plus plus sizes . I bought Sonic Unleashed for $12.48 and the cashier actually had to call a manager to unlock the machine that unlocked the game case .
Has anyone played sonic yet ?? Is it worth the $12fiddy .
